It is not the actual car but a replica built almost to an exact copy by that movie fan guy Joe and given the thumbs up by Bob Gale. five real DeLoreans were used in the filming of the trilogy, plus one "process" car built for interior shots. In the off-road scenes in the third film,a modified-for-off-road VW Beetle frame was fitted to the DeLorean with the whitewall tires and baby moon hubcaps.A seventh DeLorean was also used in the filming; however,this one was merely a full-sized,fiberglass model used for exterior shots where the vehicle hovers above the set as well as when the actors interact with the vehicle.

There is a guy in the US that does custom Delorean's all laid out with the gadgets etc to look like the Time Machine... for $100,000
Thats pretty much what the replicas are going for. Depending on how accuarate it is. The delorean car by itself is a good $20k
The final bid should have been $88,000
Nike remade them a while back in limited numbers for charity.
Doubt the ones worn in the movie sold.
