I live in USA but im Indonesian.. i was tried so many fastfoods in here but my favorite one in here is Subway for me Subway is the best one in USA i like to put Jalapeno and banana peppers in my Subway..😄 KFC, McD and Taco Bell I don't like them the taste is so bad. I missed Indonesian foods soooo bad. Coming back to Indonesia soon..😊

I'm a McD team, usually I order the Hot package containing french fries and 2 spicy fried chicken, lemon tea, I replace it with another drink because it's too sweet, the nuggets are delicious, spicy chicken bite, the cheapest beef or chicken burger, mcflurry, that's what I eat when I order at McD 😁👍🏻
McFlurry is our favorite too. My usual order is a McDouble and McChicken (Rob). But we wanted to try the Indonesian menu items so of course we went for the Rica Rica! Enak sekali 🙏

beef prosperity is actually a seasonal sandwich(?) for a CNY celebration. when i'm still at junior high school everyday i saved money to buy beef prosperity on the weekend (because at that time school is from mon - sat) because it is delicious, good size, and cheap. but now, i think the taste kinda not as good as before haha.

Oh yeah if you guys are still in Jakarta, you should try visiting Pasar Lama Culinary Area in Tangerang (around 1½ hrs from Central Jakarta). But be prepared because it's a little bit crowded.
for me every family/person on indo has their own spicy standard u can meet a family/person that totally loves spicy food and U can also meet a family/person tht not really loves spicy things(even tho most of ‘em loves it lol)

That KFC drink is probably yoghurt-like drink, mixed with several other tropical fruit syrups. I think it might also contain Yakult, a famous Japanese probiotic drink. It is sweet and tangy, and every stereotypical flavour of tropical drink.
McD's Prosperity burger has been a CNY special menu item since 2005 I think. It is McDonald's take on typical Indonesian-Cantonese dish of "black pepper beef" or "sapi lada hitam". And of course, being burger, they replace the meat cubes / slices with beef patty.
Indonesia is a huge mix-mash of various super unique culture. Rica-rica is a Manadoese cuisine, these people eats spicy foods in hospital, so kind of like the Mexicans or Chicanos of USA. Their tongue and stomach are almost lined with heat-resistant material.
"Keju" in Bahasa Indonesia originates from Portuguese "Queijo", which is pretty similar to the neighbouring Spanish "Queso". The most popular variants however, are mostly Cheddar, everything here is cheddar, and then the obvious Dutch Edam and Gouda. Recently, Italian cheese are getting more popular, especially parmesan and mozarella.

It's called a prosperity burger because it's a seasonal item that is only sold around Chinese New Year usually a month before and after. Hence the prosperity theme.
Kalau enggak salah gini mas bule, dulu itu subway sempat masuk ke Indonesia. Tapi kurang laku entah karena apa, terus rupanya subway korea pintar, mereka mengiklankan subway di hampir semua drama korea dan akhirnya kembali masuk ke indonesia.

Most of fast food customer in indonesia (kfc, mcdonald,etc) is wealthy or at least people with high salary, and poor people (like me) eats more likely vegetables, because our vegies is much more cheaper than junkfood. 1 menu from fast food = 2 or 3 days worth of vegetables homecooking

haven't tried yubari float, but yubari is known as cantaloupe in japan, so it's melon flavored drink. I prefer OR chicken in KFC, it's really flavorful but of course not as crispy as crispy one.

I'd choose Subway as no 1 too if I were you. Before Subway came to Indonesia, I usually opt for Quiznos. I don't know if you guys have ever had it before but maybe you can give it a try. It also serves subs.

Iirc the Beef Prosperity burger was introduced when it was on the Chinese New Year and it's been on and off the McD menu for quite a while now in Indonesia. It is one of my favorite McD burgers so far. Correct me if I'm wrong though, but if my memory serves me right, that should be the case.

McD has always been successful with almost every innovation they made in Indonesia, but KFC? A different story, the weirdest innovation KFC had made was mixing their chicken with chocolate, seriously!

Well KFC tried to mix up inovation from different culture, but they just not do a good survey before launch it.

I've tried the chicken menu with chocolate and the taste is a bit strange but you can still eat it as long as it's not eaten with rice
KFC's spicy chocolate sundae is the worst. I kinda miss spicy chicken with chocolate sauce tho. It's way better than the sundae.
