I would never leave with just 6 months left to get citizenship. She should fight because passport is worth gold when things go wrong.
Even if she wants to leave after, still finish what you started
You’re not wrong Vas, Turkeys big mistake was to change the setup it had 2 yrs ago… it sparked interest across the globe and made everyone take note and come there including myself, but when they changed the laws so rapidly and went from 250k to 400k for citizenship, no more renting for residency, you can’t buy in certain areas as it’s only for Turkish citizens, and prices went stupidly expensive across the board then people like myself said goodbye to Turkey as it wasn’t worth it anymore… it was just another country that was good for a short period only and lost its shine.
It’s insane that cost of living went from so little to so high within 2 yrs, even with inflation what’s happened there is insane… the citizens became super greedy themselves and destroyed themselves in the process. And now I don’t trust them at all because I can see what they do to eachother for money.
I’ve heard that realestate prices should come down, wonder how much, I’ve seen a huge influx of properties coming into the market especially in Alanya and Antalya.
I’m watching from Sydney Australia.
By the way, good video as usual…!!!
I am currently in the US and the prices of everything and especially food is gone up since covid. Some items are doubled in price. I don't think I would mention that as a reason to move out of Türkiye. I am actually considering moving there in a decade or so. I think if I am getting retirement in USD, I will still be fine there. I am originally Bosnian.
This was interesting video today, turkey has become very expensive to live. I have a house here which I'm thinking of selling, the rescidency is to difficult and they keep moving the goalposts all the time. I love turkey 🇹🇷 but maybe selling up banking some of the money is a good idea. Really enjoy your content.
If you’re looking for somewhere that’s in the middle of everything and expect it to be cheap considering the cost of living going up anywhere in the world, that wouldn’t be a good idea. Those times are gone. Choose a country if you like them, not because you think it’s cheap to live. You can always go settle in a village. They are still pretty cheap but don’t expect Antalya to be cheap anymore. Apparently, turkish also doesn’t welcome people who think their country is cheap.
For everyone, here's what I see for the next year or two. Let me know what you think.
Current bank rate: 50% (Don't know how it will move but it needs to go 65% for the country to start to stabilize)
Current exchange rate: 32.5 TL to 1 USD (If the exchange rate goes to 40, I see it as the loss of 2/3 from the current bank rate of 50%). Minus exchange and transfer fees, Turkish taxes, and USA taxes (home country) . . . I see a negative return of -2.5%. In this scenario, the YUVAM account would be a better return vehicle (6% w/o Turkish tax but home tax).
I plan on doing the citizenship by deposit. Thinking of waiting until the TL goes to 40 before I start the process.
Anyone see or have any other ideas?
Thanks!
How safe is it to put money in the bank.. and get good interest rate ..if I use it later to buy apartment.good or bad idea ...
Georgia is more expensive then turkey
Plus is still Soviet Union mentality

Great insight!
I live in Florida.nowadays, I see lots of rich Turkish people relocating to this area.
Question:
Bases on your observation,
Which countries Russians and Ukrainians, who used to live in Turkey, are relocating to.
Thank you
Mostly Dubai and Thailand
What is your opinion about moving to
1.Azerbaijan
2.Egypt
3.Ghana
4.Cambodia
5.Philippines
All the above countries give citizenship after 5 years residency or property purchase. All have decent healthcare and low to moderate crime
Isn’t Azerbaijan very similar to turkey?
@@Elias-yx9gx its little similar, but more similar to russia
