We have joined your newsletter. As I said before we really enjoy your videos & find Olga super informative & completely transparent. Awaiting more & best of luck in your new endeavors.
I am a Turkish citizen, the hyper-inflation that has increased recently has made living conditions difficult, I understand you very well. I'm sorry you left us, I wish you a nice healthy day, goodbye 🤗❤
My family moved to Antalya and we are still living here, it has been 6 months now. I agree with all the positives that you mentioned, and since we bought our home we do not have to face some of the negatives you talked about. Its been very easy settling in here and people in the neighbourhood are very kind and friendly, even though we are the only brown skinned people around this whole area it seems 😅I really enjoyed your videos, especially since you also lived in Antalya it was nice to see videos of what we now consider "our" city. Sad to see you leave, but look forward to your new adventures.
6 months is too early to make any kind of conclusion, lets deal with inflation which is hurting everyone day to day life. let the first renewal of your STRP come then after that your views will change. 🤣
I just spent 6-7 weeks in Turkey. Your information (videos) is very good and accurate for people wishing to travel there. It definitely helped with what to expect. I can understand it being a hard decision to leave (for the time being) as it is a wonderful people and culture. Thanks for what you do!
I spent $ 30,000 in 3 weeks in Hawaii, $1,000 for a month in Mexico and $1,000 for 3 months in Turkey. My best times were in Turkey, then Mexico then Hawaii. Odd, isn't it ?
Your story got ridiculous when you got to the part about living for 3 months on $1000. Even locals don’t live on the low amount of money, let alone international tourists who claim the were spending $1000 a week….sounds like an exaggeration to me.
@@jamesbrown9721 $1000 equals to 18.600 TL ÷ 3= 6.200 TL is a good amount to live for a month in a big city and even much better in smaller cities away from tourist areas.
In my opinion, settling in Turkey should be made a little bit more difficult. I respect tourists or expats, but you know that as the demand for real estate increases, housing prices increase, rents increase and agricultural lands become more expensive and open for constructions, which makes arable lands more expensive.
@@dimitrakapa4887 Turkey is one of the leading countries in the health sector, even for rich countries it's hard to compete with that. Greece has great islands and food. But you can't find the diversity and the infrastructure in Greece that Turkey has to offer.
Thank you very much for providing your advice and information about living in Turkey as it helped me to plan ahead before going to Turkey. I wish you guys the best with your move.
Sorry to see you leave from Turkey. During your travels, you always provided useful insight into this country, thanks for that. And oh yes, my ikamet renewal went without any problems, no need for a certain amount of money to be placed in a bank. What is new though is that they register all fingerprints in the foreigners office. Take care, safe travels.
Thank you so much for the honest insights. For someone who has lived abroad and can no longer afford to live in the U.S. and deal with all the crime and social decline what you provide is of great value and much appreciated. Having spent a good bit of time in Asia I look forward to your your upcoming adventures and insights!
It’s just the energy in America for me that I don’t like. My area doesn’t have crime but its so boring and stressful. Maybe if you want to have fun you can easily spend $ 100,000 a year, but I would rather just save. I like the mentality of Turks and middle easterners better than the mentality of Americans too. People are more free in certain ways.
Social decline? What is that supposed to mean. I don’t see anymore social decline in America than when I was growing up in the 70s and 80s. In fact, the country was a lot more dangerous back then, and the stats prove it. The ones complaining the loudest about crime in the US usually don’t live in the areas and cities where crime is happening. Crime is usually a function of media hype in America. The US is still a very safe country. The problem with the US is the high cost of real-estate It’s great if you’re a homeowner, but not so great if your a renter. Turkey is a better value if you’re not earning local wages. Remember, they have a 100% a year inflation rate. America’s is 8% If you think you have it bad, try being a Turkish wage earner.
That's a bummer. Things in the world are changing SO, SO FAST. For example, Turkey's economy has been struggling with 80% inflation and, just everywhere else skyrocketing energy cost. However Turkey just made a FANTASTIC economic arrangement with Russia. And it's a HUGE GAME CHANGER. Turkey will become THE distribution hub for Europe and Asia for Russian gas and oil. This deal has far reaching implications, should enrich turkey and completely turn around it's economy, not to mention reducing energy cost and thus inflation.
I just left Turkey because my holiday was over and it was hard! I can only imagine how hard it was for you both after so long. We are seriously considering buying a place there though so will be back in spring ;)
There are still deals to be had and compared to any western city dead cheap. Prices have been going up a lot though over the past year. We’re going back in September so hope not too much
Living on a income of foreign currency is way easier. I have lived in Türkiye for 9 years now. There are many pluses like you guys mentioned. I agree with almost everything you guys mentioned. Great content. Thanks for the review.
@@CBEACH I have dual citizenship but as for my son who’s 19 now “only United States citizen” it’s the same song and dance just renewing his visa every two years. It’s a hassle every time. So far he has been a student but gave himself a gap year and in fact I have to renew his visa next month.
I live with my daughter in Kadikoy, Istanbul. We just renewed our residency permits for another year and had no problems. I wasn't asked about our plans though I had heard this might happen. The one piece of advice that I took was to deposit 80,000 TL into my Turkish bank account. This was just for me; it wasn't necessary to deposit money for my daughter.
@@anisaendah I don't know if it made a difference in my case, but I think it helped. Once the bank gives you a statement saying how much you have in your account, you can start spending it. You don't have to keep a balance of at least 80,000 lira.
@@Roguesta54 oh I see. I was thinking to stay in Istanbul after visited there last July. But l searched that a lot of residency permit request were rejected especially if the visa is visa travel (and for now I only can use it). And after watching Olga’s video I can related to it, because my friend also has similar problems.
I signed up for your newsletter. I liked your Turkey content and look forward to you content from Thailand, Vietnam, Bali or wherever you may be in Asia.
I was in Antalya for a month(middle of May to Middle of June). I enjoyed it. Then I visited Ukraine, Moldova and Albania for several months. Now I am in the Philippines. I am looking forward to visiting Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.
You two are amazing! Whenever I watched one of your videos, it was always professionally produced. You are informative, humorous at times and extremely generous with your time. I understand your reasons for leaving Turkey. The country is going through a lot economically and politically and that impacts everyone, locals and foreigners. It is a shame because Turkey is a wonderful country. I wish you well in your adventures. Stay safe and in touch. I will remain a faithful supporter of your next journey. All the best!
Hope you enjoyed your time. About residence permit requirements, Turkish people are extremely annoyed because for really short period of time too many foreigners started to relocate into Turkey with easy residence permit and kind of invaded some cities. Rent prices skyrocketed especially in Antalya, Istanbul and Izmır due to foreigners. Approximate number of foreigners including asylum seekers, illegal immigrants and legally long-term residence is 14-15 millions. So that's gigantic number. From now on, I don't think anybody can easily get residence permit except tourist visa.
In this comment you sound like you are from our country and I don't know if you are Turkish or not, but I will add a few things here. You said many things such as uncontrolled immigrants etc... Those are the problems which we need to deal with. (I mean our leaders & ministers need to deal.) These are not foreigners' problems(at least in general for now it is not their problems, but when they become citizens, do business, and start getting affected deeply and feel the way locals feel, then they will jump on the same boat or they will just look for a new destination.) Some of them cannot buy homes in their countries or some find it so expensive and they look for alternative methods, basically everyone's reasons are different (some buy to live, some buy to invest and so on...) That is why they take advantage of our country's current situation (sad to say even this in here, but that is the unfortunate reality.) They did the same thing in Asian countries or in Latin America and examples can vary as well. Yes, they come here and spend their money on things and existing problems grow. (Especially rent and housing prices are at crazy levels in the biggest cities.) But the main idea, we cannot blame them for coming here and buying places in our country. In the basic concept, they want to have their place and also want to enjoy this wonderful country. I am sure if that was the case for us, some people would move to other countries, take advantage of the strong currency, live and experience other cultures, live in a better climate, and enjoy their life as they wish. If that is the only problem, then selling any property to foreigners should be banned. The other things should be dealing with inner problems such as the economy, education systems, uncontrolled immigrant problem & uncontrolled/unregistered war escapers, and many more to add in here.... But still when we think of the country's current situation, selling any property to foreigners should be forbidden as soon as possible by the rulers of the country. (One major example, Canada banned foreigners from buying residential property for 2 years.) On the other hand, I hope all the visiting people, and who are living for short or long term (new possible locals) here can enjoy their time as much as possible and have a wonderful experience in our country. Greetings!
Can I still purchase and hold on to the property for 5 years to get residency? Can it be any price property? Does it need to be 100% paid up front or can I have a mortgage?
@@selahattinsongur9620 Selling property and citizenship must be banned and cancelled. Another is thing residence permit via renting a place, that's the dumbest thing for sure. Which other country gives residence permit just by renting a place? We can blame foreigners for sure. Coming here illegal ways that's not I can tolerate. Coming here for purpose of saving money and crowding cities like hell, taking advantages of bad economic situation and make people's life harder is not acceptable. That's colonialism in individual level.
According to Gallup global emotions report 2023, Turkey had the lowest positive experience score in the world after Afganistan. The indexes for measuring the positive experience in this report were: People were asked wether they " were well rested , treated with respect all day, smiled or laughed a lot , learned or did something interesting, experienced enjoyment " the previous day.
I have traveled to about 20 different countries and lived in many different places. A friend of mine suggested I visit Colombia, and now I am here permanently. I still travel occasionally, but Colombia is home. I am constantly investigating other countries (that's how I found your videos) but I cannot find a place I prefer to Colombia. Everybody has different criteria, but it seems that Colombia has something for everyone. I wish you all the best in your travels and your search.
I m now living in eskisehir since Dec 21 last year and for personal reason I hv to leave Turkey with no choice and my last month leaving in Dec. In order to apply for a resident visa I hv purchased an apartment then on the day of appointment with immigration I was told that the property price is not upto their standard, should be 75000 USD or more
You guys are making a cute couple. Your video is prerty straightforward and informative. You have clearly identified the pros and cons about living in Turkey which I couldn't agree more. I was born and raised in Turkey but I can definitely see the things from your point of view. Once again, thank you for your contribution. It was good to know !
I am personally so sad to hear your departure from Turkey because you seemed very happy and in a way well settled in it.However, the latter part of your video I found it a bit disturbing,to say the least. As you know,I have been following your videos in Turkey for quite sometime with the aim to educate myself of life in Antalya for a possible relocation and you’ve been an excellent source of information in this regard. I feel very unsettled in my way of thinking now if it would be a good idea for this move considering the unforeseen legal challenges that one could come against in the future. That is a major consideration to take into account before uprooting and resettling. Anyway,Turkey is a lovely country, friendly people and has delicious food and thanks to you both for bringing it to our attention. Good Luck in your next adventure.

Last year i went to Turkey for a holiday and i found the prices very expensive being turkey. The meal prices were the same or more than London. Ive changed my mind about buying a property in Turkey. Now it might be Malaysia.
I love your insights to other countries, I was in Tbilissi and right now I am in Antalya. Looks light we have a similar taste. My guess is that you are in Vietnam now.
I bought an appartment in Izmir in early February of 2022. This was just days before the Ukraine war started. It was at a very decent price. Prices have since then skyrocketed and my investment has at a minimum doubled in value. I will be visiting Turkey in July of this year with family including our little baby. It will be very interesting to see what the vibes are in Turkey.
@@garyfern7653 Do you think it’s at a point where it can hold its value or is it un bubble territory? I am looking into RE there as a foreigner from the US.
Comments for reason #5 I am also Vegan & Glüten Free….Istanbul, Antayla, and Izmir have the best options for that diet. You just have to search for Glütensiz. There are quite a few options surprisingly. In the smaller towns in Turkey there are limited options.
I am a Turkish American living in both US and Turkiye. Cost of living is insanely high everywhere. The prices are un-freaking-believable and Turkiye is not immune to this new world order. Yet compared to U.S & Europe based on what she offers, Turkiye continues to be the best deal.
@@matlihan how do you see Northern Cyprus? Do you find it better or more cosmopolitan than Turkiye? Or NC actually has less options than either Istanbul or Ankara can offer?
@@leoprg5330 I do not have a lot of insight about NC. Been there long time ago, its isolation does not help for sure, even water was scarce back then. I heard it got much better now though. Still the ongoing political instability of the Island makes it less attractive. It still might be a good alternative for someone who can leave island relatively hassle free if shit hits the fan ie: British citizens. For me and my American wife, Ankara wins hands down, it is cheaper, well organized, efficient public transportation, still under utilized good infrastructure, excellent affordable healthcare, great restaurants and no fault lines that keeps us awake at nights.
Ikamet first time may require a travel plan (very likely). But it doesn't state being needed on renewal on their website - nor have I seen any renewal being asked for it locally (I am in Kadıköy).
I understand the reasoning why you guys left.. A full years rent is insane .. Good to be fluid and flexible in the world today. Thinking either Thailand or Malaysia? Look forward to seeing your next adventure. 🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
Yes, I discovered that when, AFTER I wrote you, I looked at you main page and saw where you currently are. An interesting fact that we discovered travelling was we went to Thailand first in 1992 and returned in 2012 to find it completely changed with development. That was interesting enough, but we then went to Cambodia in 2013 and remarked that Cambodia in 2013 was more like Thailand in 1992. We would like to return to Cambodia now and see how much it has changed.
Hi you guys. I will always follow your adventures. I just came back from 2 weeks in Antalya getting dental implants and I owe so much to you for helping me navigate this city and thank you for all your information and tips. I am back in Canada now and will return to Antalya in April. Good luck and safe travels.
I look forward to living in Turkey for next 2 years! I’ll be in Ankara…I like hiking in mountains and hills with my sons, hope there’s some nice hikes around. Also I’m learning to speak a little Turkish…hope I can get around with English tho.
Turkyie is an amazing country. I love it. I have been there a lot, just recently in September. I also have studied turkish a bit. :) However the world is big so I very much understand your decision. South east asia is on my next stravel plan. I think you two are in Vietnam. :)
Wow! thanks for your detailed video,so informative and helpful...all the best in your discovering of other countries until you find a place to live permanently.Welcome to Malawi (Africa), you will never be disappointed to live here.😊
The agents and especially the landlords have started to ask full year rent that's because the landlords had many issues related to the foreigners about even though they agreed to rent an apartment for like 3 months, the foreigners just began to disappear and neither they paid nor they stayed in the apartments as they agreed in their contracts. That's why the local people had to bring protection measures for themselves and they started to ask the rent as an up front and for a long term. We also have de facto but unnamed housing crisis for a few years. The demand is really high and the supply can't catch up to it due to the currency crisis. Because the construction costs also became unreasonable prices.
Thank you for explaining, since this is unfamiliar Inthe USA to pay 1 year in advance. I was asked for $7000 up front and he said if I don’t get the permit, the money is non refundable. I own my own home in America, what they landlords are asking is MORE than my mortgage and bills. It would be INSANE to stay in Turkey and pay $2000 USD a month in rent. I will stay my 3 months and depart
Hey Olga & Rene! Love your videos, made with so much passion, hardwork & transparency. The authenticity makes them special. ☺️ I think you guys are in Vietnam and probably in Da nang. 12:46 it’s legal to take rent for a year in this way renters pay less price but it’s no longer valid for last 2 years because of the Ukrainians and Russians moving in. They paid 4 times more rental than normal (minimum 1000 dollars )so all the rents increased ..im a pharmacist living in kemer for 24 years and my rent cost increased 8 times higher than normal in 13 month after Ukrainians and Russians decided to live here for a year. So sorry to say the fact about expenses at my country, we survived lots of economical crises but never seen or lived this extreme type of crisis .enjoy your trips and hopefully come back soon
I highly appreciate your honesty and transparency. I suffered exactly the same conditions even though I own an apartment in Istanbul for my retirement plans . But the astronomical inflation rate made me back up with my retirement plan to retire in Turkey. Most probably I will sell the apartment. Turkey is a beautiful country but unfortunately it has lost its privileges and the positive sides . Too sad .😢 . Anyway I started following you now and will watch your videos , wishing you good luck wherever you go. Last question: what country do you recommend for me and my family to retire at ? Kindest regards 🌹
Thank you! We feel the same about Turkiye. Beautiful country, and we wish we could stay there longer. Sorry to hear you have to sell your apartment in Istanbul. Right now we are in Da Nang, Vietnam. You can check out here what kind of lifestyle you can have there 👉 ua-cam.com/video/tdwogTx6uEc/v-deo.html At the moment there are only 3 month visas (that you can re-apply for endlessly), but I hear the government is planning to introduce a retirement visa in the coming years. And with a bit of money you can get a business/language course residency permit.
Come to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia sub urban areas particularly Sungei Long area. The rent is very affordable. You can get a whole 1800sqft condo with 3 bedrooms unit for under $800 a month.
Thanks for the advice! This video is back from October last year. Since then we stayed in KL in Jan-Feb ua-cam.com/play/PLbukJP9uQAFKWQggnd83LR6LzQ1vLFgPI.html
When so many extra people comes and resides in the country the prices gone crazy because of high demand. Fot example 10 locals were eating eggs when 4 new arrivals in the city they also wanted to eat eggs. So the farmer has only 10 eggs in his inventory he needed to raise the egg price to give who can pay it the most. Now the locals can not pay rents, can not shop even their basic needs because so many people came in to country willing to pay more and skyrocketed the demand after covid&war. İt needed to be stopped after some time. At least for the big cities. Some neighborhoods are under invasion of aliens, locals needed to leave their neighbourhoods, their neighbours, their lifestyle, their memories because they can not afford their lives anymore.
Yes, that was the main reasoning for inflation a couple years ago. But now it's impossible to get the residency and most of the foreigners left. We recently visited Antalya for a holiday and the prices did not get lower, they skyrocketed even more, in euro they are almost double. Can't imagine how hard it must be for the locals. But it's obvious now that the high demand from foreigners wasn't the reason for inflation. We loved living in Türkiye and still hope things will get better.
You both are amazing!!! Sure I'll continue following your videos cause they are very useful and you show us the real life in this world. Kisses from Brazil and good luck wherever you go guys!😘🌹
If things settle down in the next 3 or 4 years, would you consider going back to Turkey? Would it have been better/easier if you had bought an apartment instead of renting? If I'm moving to Turkey (2026 maybe) would buying be a better option?
Prices for housing going up at a fast rate also. A friend of mine sold a house in Kusadasi 3yrs ago New owners did renovations. It sold for three & a half times more than she sold it for. I know there is a world priblem but I was there in Apr. The prices then had gone up from before Pandemic. I was there again in September & was shocked at the difference again in prices. I spent a month there & they were rising continually. The restaurants to my mind are exploiting the situation. The basics in shops & the markets have not gone up to the same extent. For instance I paid 200 lira for fish & chips which is not much cheaper than I would pay in my own country which is the 3rd most expensive in Europe. I love Turkey & its people who have a great sense of humour but I fear for them that what is happening there will adversely affect their tourist industry. People were complaining & some services & shops charge in euros which benefits them immensely at present. The workers there are suffering enough without their tourist industry collapsing.
@@mauraorourke9849 You are100% right at your comment about the restaurants exploiting the prices. Turks like living 24 hours and like to eat outside that is a part of Mediterrenian type of living. But especially the food sector abuse us too much therefore, we do not often go out dining anymore we meet friends and dine at home.
About the motorized vehicles tax in Turkey: It's based on the displacement of the engine. But even the tiniest engines, like 1 litre, are heavily taxed. However, foreigners exampt of most of those taxes. They don't pay even nearly at same bracket as Turks. For example; A 2008 Alfa Romeo 159 2.4 JTDM Distinctive package is sold foreigner to foreigner for 60.000 TRY at Sahibinden. Same car, same engine, same package, same milage, yet 2007 made is 700.000 TRY for Turks. 60.000 TRY isn't even 2000$ but the latter is more than 20.000$.
Housing prices skyrocketed in the last 3-4 years. Both the sale and rent prices have gone through the roof. That's about both the inflation, but also about the February 6th, 2023 earthquakes. So many people lost their homes, over 850.000 apartments and houses destroyed. Most of the effected moved to western parts of the country (since the effected area was East-Southeast of Turkey) demand to rental houses/apartments boomed. There is also an other cause of housing price boom: People who have some money tend to buy houses in Turkey. They bought houses with mortgage credits. Kept the houses until they profit, then they sold. So this buy-sell circulation kept going for over a decade. However the credit interest skyrocketed because of the inflation, and the government forces banks (not just publicly owned, but also private banks) not to give mortgage credits. Which caused sell prices of the houses to stagnate and there are almost no buyers in the market. So home owners had to raise the rents to avoid losing money. The government put a rent increase limit in turn, 25% which ended just a few days ago. So home owners were actually forced to force renters to sign an eviction notice, so they can avoid 25% increase limit.
That was the same reason why I moved from Antalya but hope all situation with inflation will be stabilise in this year and I am very wishing to come back in this spring-summer because nevertheless of high raising up prices for rent and permanent living difficulties to live in such a beautiful city with warm weather , nice people and sea 🌊 around it’s amazing ❤
Question to you: why have you not bought a place last year? But you are right, the salmon price "skyrocketing" and gluten are deal breakers. As a gluten intolerant person, it is so hard to find food in Turkey. After cheating on gluten multiple times, I completely cut restaurant food now.
We believe buying an apartment outside your own country is only worth it if a person has a lot of spare money as a way to diversify the investments ;) Otheswise there are quite some risks involved - economical, political etc. For gluten intolerant people, a good tip - buy buckwheat, it's very tasty and affordable in grocery shops in Turkiye. That is if you're staying long term and cooking at home, of course.
@@OlgaProGoingPlaces Thanks for reminding me the buckwheat. It is delicious. A Russian neighbour in Canada suggested me roasted buckwheat and I used to eat but forgot about it. I can find it in Russian stores.
Not a single comment on local lifestyle, the language, religion, day-to-day life, Turkish culture, tradition, music... It's like you lived in a bubble.
Have you tried living outside your home country? It's hard to find an apartment, get a residency, learn how to pay bills and do the day to day chores without speaking the language. All while traveling and continuing to work on your personal projects. Within a year without speaking the language and having local friends it's just impossible to dive deep into local culture. Also as a foreigner I personally don't feel I will ever have any authority to speak about the life of locals. Turkish people should be the ones talking about it.
@@OlgaProGoingPlaces My dear, I went to Turkey penniless without speaking a word. Within one year I learned Turkish, found a job and worked with Turks, studied and adapted to their culture and traditions, made loads of Turkish friends and dived deep into the Turkish music - so much so that I still listen to it every day. Regarding your second claim, as a foreigner you don't need any authority to speak about local culture and lifestyle. In fact, as a foreigner you can speak about that with more clarity than the locals because you see it with fresh eyes and from the outside, being able to compare it with other places and cultures which you have already studied.
@@OlgaProGoingPlaces Moreover, to answer your question: yes, I have tried. I lived in 3 different countries, speak 7 languages, paid the bills, found the homes and all tye rest. I know what you have to go through... My critique was with a positive outlook. Keep going 💪
well here you go, you worked with Turks, which allowed you to get to know the culture and make friends. my work was to make videos that you are watching, which most of the time is being on my laptop and not really communicating with anyone :)
And I disagree, a foreigner will always judge a culture from their own perspective without fully understating why things are how they are. I can share my opinions with my friends in private, but I will not judge a foreign (to me) culture or people publicly with thousands of people who don’t know where I’m coming from.
So If the inflation is very high and If prices are increasing so frequently, how comes the low cost of living is a positive thing ???? Isnt there a big paradox???
I’m a Turkish citizen but living in the State, my childhood freind from Turkey decided to move Portugal he’s waiting for his residency permit he applied while ago. Things are changed in Turkey not that cheap or simple anymore.
Never try to convert prices in place you are living. You change your currency amount to the currency of that place and units are always units. If you have 100 units of whatever currency, the prices you pay are units of that amount. You will drive yourself insane doing it by trying to convert what no longer applies.
For those who want to reside in Turkey permanently or a long period of time I suggest you to consider more rural inland cities. Still same turkish culture, richer cuisine and comparably fair prices and fresher climate in summertime for foreigners can be found in the north-east coast of the country. Main problem here is that everyone hear about Antalya and wants to come to Antalya. It is like you go to Miami Malibu beach and complain about housing prices. About residency permit, immigration office simply take measures against settlers who cram into city. Otherwise there won't be any room left for us locals since we earn turkish lira not US $.

In my opinion, settling in Turkey should be made a little bit more difficult. I respect tourists or expats, but you know that as the demand for real estate increases, housing prices increase, rents increase and agricultural lands become more expensive and open for constructions, which makes arable lands more expensive.
I respect input from locals. I know rental price hike is hurting them.

Having spent a good bit of time in Asia I look forward to your your upcoming adventures and insights!
Same reasons why I left the US over a year ago, and the inflation and crime has gotten worse
@@jamesbrown9721 no foreigner wants to earn turkish wage, I did my summer job there but to own a business is great.
"PANAMA RELOCATION TOURS! W ITH JACKIE!🙋😊👍❤👈"
This deal has far reaching implications, should enrich turkey and completely turn around it's economy, not to mention reducing energy cost and thus inflation.
and the US will not dare start a war with Turkey. or wil they? hard to tell the crazy don't stop.

What you will say about inflation , is it also because of foreigners
In this comment you sound like you are from our country and I don't know if you are Turkish or not, but I will add a few things here.
You said many things such as uncontrolled immigrants etc... Those are the problems which we need to deal with. (I mean our leaders & ministers need to deal.)
These are not foreigners' problems(at least in general for now it is not their problems, but when they become citizens, do business, and start getting affected deeply and feel the way locals feel, then they will jump on the same boat or they will just look for a new destination.)
Some of them cannot buy homes in their countries or some find it so expensive and they look for alternative methods, basically everyone's reasons are different (some buy to live, some buy to invest and so on...) That is why they take advantage of our country's current situation (sad to say even this in here, but that is the unfortunate reality.)
They did the same thing in Asian countries or in Latin America and examples can vary as well.
Yes, they come here and spend their money on things and existing problems grow. (Especially rent and housing prices are at crazy levels in the biggest cities.)
But the main idea, we cannot blame them for coming here and buying places in our country.
(One major example, Canada banned foreigners from buying residential property for 2 years.)
On the other hand, I hope all the visiting people, and who are living for short or long term (new possible locals) here can enjoy their time as much as possible and have a wonderful experience in our country.

What a change from February 2021! I was seriously thinking of sojourning in Turkey for six months per year but now I am cautious.
Yes, a lot has changed, even since we recorded this video. We spent a holiday in Antalya recently and I will have a video out soon
God bless you from BALI INDONESIA..🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
You can check out here what kind of lifestyle you can have there 👉 ua-cam.com/video/tdwogTx6uEc/v-deo.html
At the moment there are only 3 month visas (that you can re-apply for endlessly), but I hear the government is planning to introduce a retirement visa in the coming years. And with a bit of money you can get a business/language course residency permit.
güzel yorumlarınız için teşekkürler...
Come to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia sub urban areas particularly Sungei Long area. The rent is very affordable. You can get a whole 1800sqft condo with 3 bedrooms unit for under $800 a month.
Thanks for the advice! This video is back from October last year. Since then we stayed in KL in Jan-Feb

Good luck in your new adventure. Making dreams
Thanks! We made this video back in October, travelled through Asia and now staying in Vietnam
You guys are fun
Nice video❤ thank you ,,,Puerto Rico 🇵🇷

Welcome to Africa ( KENYA 🇰🇪)
Good luck in your new adventure!
The workers there are suffering enough without their tourist industry collapsing.
it will all depend on our personal circumstances :)
Turkish people are friendly keep in contact incase go back, they will help some
Good luck on your new venture.I enjoyed your Turkey vlogs. Are you in Bulgaria ??I will watch to find out !
They are the best sources on living in turkey❤❤❤
Hey Olga how are you?
Please can you tell me the name of the restaurant where you sit ( 0:43 ). Amazing view
I don’t remember the name unfortunately, it’s at the beginning of Konyaalti beach
@@OlgaProGoingPlaces thanks a lot
12 years ago I visited Vietnam for and holiday . I am still here and love the lifestyle
I’m from turkey 🇹🇷 I live in uk 🇬🇧 I have apartment in Dalaman city you are very welcome to stay there if you return turkey 🇹🇷
yeah, the Netherlands here!!!
👋
That was the same reason why I moved from Antalya but hope all situation with inflation will be stabilise in this year and I am very wishing to come back in this spring-summer because nevertheless of high raising up prices for rent and permanent living difficulties to live in such a beautiful city with warm weather , nice people and sea 🌊 around it’s amazing ❤
日本はようやく国境をオープンしました。
お二人のvisitをお待ちしてます!
Hi. Lot of Turkey made clothing in Saudi Arabia shops. Good quality. Nice styling. And affordable too.
@@OlgaProGoingPlaces Agree with the risk especially now with the war not far away away.
@@OlgaProGoingPlaces Thanks for reminding me the buckwheat. It is delicious. A Russian neighbour in Canada suggested me roasted buckwheat and I used to eat but forgot about it. I can find it in Russian stores.
Thanks for the Information
Let's try to visit Thailand. Delicious food, many places to visit, beautiful sea.🇹🇭🇹🇭
Thanks for the work you did in Turkiye
I would like to request you guys to comes to Malaysia and try to live here , its more developed than thailand and other near countries.
Please check Malaysian requirement of deposit and offshore income requirement for residency.
Heard maylasia is great

So If the inflation is very high and If prices are increasing so frequently, how comes the low cost of living is a positive thing ???? Isnt there a big paradox???
Aslında kanun diyor ki,tarıma elverişli araziler imara açılamaz.
I’m a Turkish citizen but living in the State, my childhood freind from Turkey decided to move Portugal he’s waiting for his residency permit he applied while ago. Things are changed in Turkey not that cheap or simple anymore.
Spain.
Good luck!🍀
Waiting for your videos.
Thanks!
Never try to convert prices in place you are living. You change your currency amount to the currency of that place and units are always units. If you have 100 units of whatever currency, the prices you pay are units of that amount. You will drive yourself insane doing it by trying to convert what no longer applies.
Very good video. Wish you all the best where you going. Very useful information.🎉
