Johnny Rotten as Jimmy wow, would have been brilliant off the scale good, but Phil is more believable , more real, Johnny is iconic and comes over ,well back then, as too bigger personality , Phil is Jimmy he plays it perfect , you could have anybody else play him now, he was so good he has retired the part really...but Johnny would love to see it though.
True , just like Joe Strummer , but many of them were most definitely from working class backgrounds , like John Lydon , for example . In fact , John Lydon said he didn't want to have any part of a film that featured Pete Townshend's dreams .
As far as I can tell by googling, this documentary was directed by Robert Sandall and released on DVD in 2006. Perhaps the gent who uploaded it, ravenhearst09, could confirm?
I met Toyah in Regents Street one day in 2012 - I mentioned Quadrophenia was being aired again on TV that night - and she told me she’d never watched the film in her life-was she telling the truth or was she just blowing me off? I wonder
The best best film ever they cast it right I went down to Brighton from Teesside the other year to visit the filming locations and then I found out that Brighton is the gay capital of the UK nothing against gays but that is certainly not me and when I tell people I've been to Brighton they look at me and then after i explain no filming location East Street things like that to do with the film Quadrophenia lol

I thought Phil was more believable. More realistic. Credit the director for keeping it real.
Wow I never has a clue John Lydon was involved.
2:34 John has never spat on a photo of the queen, cut anyone up or puked in public. Load of nonsense.
Toyah is like all the other famous Punks, a middle class actor
@a w Yup
100% A panto act.

Mr Nobody Sham 69 were from Hersham, barely London. I thought Joe Strummer and Mick Jones were from Shepherds Bush.

Of course Sting had the last laugh. Highly successful recording career, accomplished activist and holder of a CBE.
George Phillips It was very funny. Wasn't it.

Is Franc Roddam Smashie or Nicey?
Toyah aged well
Toyah sounds like Chris Eubank

She’s missed something good.
12:04 Sorry sir, that ain't happenin' in 2020.
Toyah got prettier as she got older. She's a babe.
She was also a purveyor of filth. She helped make sexual perversion acceptable. For money.
@@samsmoot1 I admire her for it.
chrisbacos she used to get fingered by the front row at her early gigs I should know I was there at Newcastle Mayfair 1980Dirty little cow.
I laugh at Phil taking the piss out of Sting, calls him Sing and then says he can’t ride a scooter and finally singing “ Gordon is a moron “ lol!
Did Jimmy in the movie have a sister I wonder why Pete didn't put her in the album in some way
