Huge Alias fan here....this song played during Daniel's funeral and could never get it out of my head. Please watch that episode if you're also a fan and you'll be amazed at how this song fits the scene.

Same here. Beautiful song... Kept trying to get Alexa to play it and was about ready to throw my echo across the room. Me: "Alexa play Dust by Ben West"... Alexa: "Dust and Bones by Anthony Salis". Me: Alexa, stop. Me: Alexa play Dust by BEN WEST. Alexa: I couldn't find Dust by BILL West but here's other music by Bill West. Me: Alexa stop. Alexa, play Dust by B E N W E S T. Alexa: here's Stardust live by Hall of Fame. Grrrrrr! Why is this not everywhere? And I just binged Alias and heard it there.

So sad, so moving. Heard on “Alias” and searched immediately to listen to the loveliness it encompasses.
I spent an hour just trying to figure out who recorded the song after I heard it in the Netflix version of Alias season 1 episode 1, during the funeral scene. Apparently, it replaced a Peter Gabriel song that was in that scene when it originally aired. This song "Dust" is nowhere online except I-tunes, apparently. My tried-and-true method of typing all the lyrics in the Google search box to figure out who the artist is failed utterly. Just wanted to say thanks for posting it. It really is a terribly depressing song but because it evokes so much emotion it is worthy. I wouldn't want to hear it if I were feeling blue, that's for certain. I wish the song were ANYWHERE to purchase besides at I-tunes.

I tried Soundhound, Google gave the lyrics, nothing. The Google keywords i ended up finding it were: "is this how it goes I suppose alias pilot song list"

As for the song, I lost a close friend to covid just before Christmas. This song embodies how I felt the day I got the news...
