@@FATmods what's up brother thanks for your response, there's actually a 2nd drain plug that holds the oil in the dry-sump but you have to take off the metal cover in order to access it but nonetheless come down to the technician working on your car not everyone's going to do that but the proper ways to open up both drain plugs. What are your thoughts with this new formula? I just bought a f13 m6, not sure what oil i should use... give me some feedbacks please ! Love your videos 👍👌
Fonab Hemfa i love the new formula and you should get 5w40. Call Devan at ecs tuning and tell him Frank from Canada recommended him and he will give you a great price. I just bought 2 cases of moly green.
Hello from europe. I was going to criticise this video but the Crush washer change for the Sump plug both wet and dry sumps. Small finger oil around replacement of oil filter housing. Has already been mentioned. I am surprised at not knowing your own cars mileage before changing oil. iF IT IS AT OR OVER 30,000 MILES then if you have no service record this should be a big service. Plugs, Oil, Oil filter, Air filter, Pollen filters, Cabin Filters. Fuel filter. This is a very big service but if your vehicle has missed or has little service history do this service soon as possible. If over 60-70,000 then have your Rod bearings changed also. BMW insist on using Mobil oil for their petrol turbo engines. Unless your dealing with -20 Celsius conditions on start up then Mobil 3-40 is perfect. Make sure your Mobil oil meets the ACEA A3/B4 or API SK/CF specification.
Bmw insists on a lit of things. Liqui moly is much better than the bmw oil. I always change my crush washer, and I'm not going to show every little bit I do. The car got a full service, but the first thing I always change is the oil. Thanks for your comment.
Why 5W-40 Liquimoly MolyGen they do have a 5W-50 MolyGen. Difference at operating temperature between a 5W-40 a 5W-50 and a 10w-60 oil is a difference in thinkness of around 14 versus 18 versus 25. BMW does not allow for any other viscosity then 10W-60. So changing from 60 to 40 means nearly half the oilfilter thickiness...... I am very interested how far you Will go. As the pushrod barrings fail usually at 50.000mls on the early ones, and just 80.000mls on the facelift models. At least with my customers here in the Rotterdam region in the Netherlands. Good luck and drive savely!

Dude, you always let your oil drain from the drain plug BEFORE you unscrew the filter. you were in a hurry and unscrewed both at the same time and that's why you got oil everywhere. next time do not remove your filter until your drain plug is done dripping oil.
Ralph Burrows i did another oil change today and i let the oil drain for 15 minutes and when i take of the filter it made the same mess as before. And for your info i wasn't rushing it.
I dont get why,as if your filter is removed it should take most of the oil that dumps back on your hand. Boy you really went through the miles fast. I have a 2017 WOP Honda with HFP kit with just over 4k on it. I had the 1st oil change on it this week. The reason i started watching you was because we had the same car.
@@FATmods Oil will always be in the oil filter housing no matter if you let it drip out from oil pan. Same as a regular oil filter. Only way for oil to not be in there is if the oil filter was on top of the motor to drain down.
@@FATmods I'm not even kidding, just open your ears and u will hear it for the first 5 minutes in a cold start. BMW says 0w30 or 5w30 ... No 40 or 50 or else !!! That's how you screw your engines ! Ohh and I forgot ... You need to buy lots of that guuu or whatever you call it as you'll need 1 liter to top up every now and then ...
Are you telling me that if I use 5w40 its going to mess up my engine. The 40 is better for the summer months. Get you facts straight. Liqui molly is better than the crap bmw sells. Tried and tested in cars by me and many other people.
Dont think you know what you talk about, 30 or 40 does not make any diffrens. If you check in your handbook it even sayes you can go with 5-30 or 5-40. I think he knows what he is doing F.A.T mods. Bmw does not know shit, there oil intervall is like 30k kilometers on a high performance engine and they know there stuff? Dont think so. 🤣👎Keep up the good work
Thanks man I do my oil change at 10,000. Have you seen an engine that does oil change at 26,000. Its much cheaper to change oil than change an engine. Even when I call bmw they tell you that you can use 5w40.
0 is the weight ... The lighter the oil the less resistance to flow ... How would you know that ? You just chuck in there whatever you think and hope it will be fine. The thinner the oil from cold engine the better ... No matter if summer or winter , every time your engine is cold the oil will be thick more viscous than at normal temps more resistant to flow and it won't get where it needs to get to for some revolutions until it's getting warm .. When you start the engine several times per day 2-3 revolutions it's enough to damage the engine ... But you can do obviously whatever you like with your car you can put water
Yes I know that but I did switch to 0. In the winter is when 0 or 5 is critical. The 0 is a little to thin for the bmw that's why they recommend 5. Bmw also tells you change your oil at 26000km which is stupid but you can go and do that. I know 3 real bmw Specialist not those moron at the deal who only know what the manual says. They told me I needed 4 new shocks for the x5 and that I can't lower it. Well they were wrong. So no you don't know what you talking about. You are the kind of person who believe everything the dealer tells you.
I like Liqui-Moly but look into Ravenol VST 5w-40; it's a German made full synthetic with a lower NOACK and superior pour and flash points.
