My 15 year old son has the same speech impediment and I love how confident you are speaking in front of people. I continue to encourage him and remind him that he’s unique and there’s nothing wrong with how he speaks. It’s so refreshing to see how well you’re able to remain confident and in control of your words. He thinks he’s the only person in the world that has a unique speech and seeing this video hugged my whole heart! I’m going to send it to him and I pray that it makes his day to see a beautiful, brown sister owning her uniqueness and he sees that he’s perfect just the way that he is too. Thank you and God bless you sis! 💙

Awwwww that made me so happy to hear . Trust me I’ve come a long way and still haven’t fully accept it . But I think I am on the right track , I have better days than others .
I felt just like that before I started my channel . Thought I was the only one that stuttered , but I found a whole group of girls that stutters and it’s been very helpful. It’s nice to know that I’m not alone going through it . He can find stutter groups that can encourage him to know that he is fine and there is nothing wrong with him .
Thank you for sharing and God bless you and your son!🤎🤎🤎🫶🏾

I interlocked for the first time this month and I like the freedom of it. I can wet my hair as often as I like without thinking about it unraveling. I believe that techniques aren't the issue but how we execute them.

Yes. I've been interlocking for 4 years. I love not having to use product and not have all the residue in my locks. I have done a few wrong and had breakage or took too long to redo it.

You guys have me sold on interlocking. Just did a set of starter locs on my hair and retwisted them and felt icky because of product build up. Took them down and washed my hair and felt so much relief. I think I’ll do interlocking simply because I sweat from the root and like washing my hair weekly.

From what the other videos I’ve seen it does look like you can do both. I love palm rolling because it’s faster than interlocking but I love interlocking because you can go longer periods before retwisting I like the unique texture that interlocking gives I have no issues with the look. I’m only 2 months into my journey so I haven’t formed a solid opinion on the subject matter but I have a feeling that I may do both

@SimbaShawty I have very coarse and thick 4c. I have microlocs but they still look like thick loc. I can't wrap the base, even with gel and I don't wanna use heavier products because of build up. For some of us retwists are just not an option

One problem that I have is an itchy scalp and its affecting my locs, well they are starting to thin out on the roots and I always make sure to keep them clean and moisturized but it doesn't help at times. I would hate to cut them off and start from scratch, any Suggestions please I would appreciate it. Thanks

Head and shoulders SAVED MY LIFE after locs. *my scalp is oily, and looks like product buildup but SUPER itchy. If you have a dry scalp with dry itchy flakes I still suggest head and shoulders. *I also have very fine hair.

My scalp was itchy. Doing ACV rinses, especially applying it to my scalp is what helped me. I may try hair grease to the scalp because it used to help my scalp when I was a loose natural.
I dont like putting oil or anything else on my scalp except Aloe Vera Juice.

I started off with coil locs and ended up doing interlock due to a stylist telling me my hair would not lock I want to go back to palm rolling but I am scared my hair will not look right….I am not comfortable with the way the interlock has made my hair look it makes me want to comb them out and start over again I am in need of some advise. If I start back with palm roll after interlock multiple times what will my hair look like or should I comb them out and start over again

I did both interlocking and palm rolling in between and my hair looks fine . I naturally have textured lumpy locs so there wasn’t big a difference when I did both. It’s totally up to you and what you want . But of course everyone’s hair and preference is different. Your not gonna know you don’t like it until you try it .

Of course too much or something is not good . Especially in the starter phase . I wore wigs for the first 6 months because my Locs were so short. But for braids and stuff I don’t think there’s a problem with doing it , unless your doing it too much. Our hair needs a breather sometimes . It’s nice to change it up sometimes but not all
The time . I think wigs are fine but braids I would do it as mimimal as possible .

Lol right, and palm rolling doesn't last and needs so much product to hold which causes build-up, plus who wants to sit under a dryer with all those clips getting hot burning the scalp bringing back memories of the hot comb LOL. At the end of the day, it just a preference. Blessings.
