It was refined to art and really the person who brought it to the NBA was Manu Ginobili. The other person who brought the TEAR DROP move to the NBA was Tony Parker. Can you imagine watching those 2 perform alongside Tim Duncan for 2 decades. And a lot of people said the Spurs were boring. They re-invented the game. Now, every player in the NBA using both moves. Amazing.
Repeat this and mean it from the bottom of your heart: Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your son on the cross to die for me and take the punishment that should’ve been on me. Thank You for loving me and creating me. I repent of my sins and I confess to You that I am a sinner. Please forgive me and wash me clean in the blood of Jesus. I accept Your Son, Jesus Christ, as my Lord and my Savior. Thank you for saving me Lord! In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen!!
Oh you got jokes huh coach? 😂😂 You definitely deserve more subs cause your breakdowns have been super nice! One of the nastiest euros Ive ever seen was Manu's against Shaq
there’s a big difference between sidestep and eurostep most especially on Manu’s euro.. he revolutionized it that is why its being called eurostep, the long latteral and the short step combo being unorthodox and unique and also unpredicrable and unreadable tempo and timing that only Manu does!
This channel gives you everything…gives you explanations in game time situations. Also explains key signs when to do the moves. I enjoy this channel a lot
this explanation is awesome, i finally realize what Euro's functionality and meaning. and if it doesn't get into all the way, what other variable combination can be applied.
coach, thats great great work, i cant believe your channel only has a few followers, keep the great work! i believe some day there will be so many followers and people will understand how great u are!!
La supuesta eurostep de la que hablan, es un movimiento muy común, en todos los chicos que juegan en Argentina, es darse maña, abrirse camino, sin que en te quiten la pelota !!! Manu no aprendió eso en Europa ...
Coach I commented on your other video yesterday, I hope you finish the finishing work out soon, some reverse, Underhand, Overhand, floaters and etc, especially through multiple defenders and through contact
Love to hear it! Inspiring the next generation, that's exactly why I'm doing what I'm doing. Wish I had a recourse like this when I was a young hooper.
The euro with the pass fake is what I first learned to do and the first few possessions of the game it’s a killer then defenders catch on and at that point yoo can just actually kick it out to the three or whatever
I love defending against people who love euro stepping. The key is to not over commit to their strong side but yet making it as though you are all while staying on the balls of your feet and keeping a low center of gravity. Anticipating their second step is the next key, cuz they will change direction, and since you’ve anticipated this, there’s no where from them to go other than the direction they’ve euro stepped towards and that’s when you’ve baited them into euro stepping into your trap.
All I know is that this would have been called travelling back in the day. You are taking two full steps after gathering the dribble. That's what the rules say now, but there was a time where, if you lifted that last foot, you travelled. That second step established your pivot and you can't jump from it.
Its not always a travel. Pay attention to the "not always." Taking two steps after dribbling is totally legal in all levels of basketball. You can drive in, stop dribbling and go straight into your two steps when you euro, in which case you will never get called for a travel. However, some people try to cover more ground by using a "gather step." While dribbling, they step forward as they gather the ball to sell the direction their going in, and by this point, the logic is they have only now gathered the ball, and they are allowed to take two additional steps. The gather step can be the difference between a heavily contested layup or a wide open layup, as it can literally give you an extra 3-4 feet of seperation. That being said, its a two edged sword, while it could be very beneficial for you, you're much more likely to be called for a travel. The commenter states that the euro step is an illegal move, but this is not necessarily the case. The euro step, is fundamentally the same as a normal two step layup, but on your second step you change direction, thats literally it. I think the commenter was more confused with the gather step that has become more utilized in modern times, which I definitely agree should be a travel as it makes the game borderline unfair in a time where handchecking is banned and the offense is given a ton of leverage.
Euro step - taking off on the opposite foot other than as usual! That's it. very simple ! Usually right handers take off of the left foot before a layup ,left handers will usually take off on there right foot .it a protect the ball with your body type of mentality
This should be called, "The Baylor step" since Elgin used it, along with every other finish, in the 60's. He invented so many things and reinvented himself as a player when he lost his jump due to knee injuries.
@@enochjohnson3437 The difference should lay in two changes of direction vs one. Baylor would do a side step, which is a side step, what is called a Euro step is a fake going on one side and then a step on the other.
Its a move you do naturally after years of playing... But, Euro Step? I seen Sprewell do it first. I had it taped we watched it over and over til we got it down. I'm fairly sure Stockton would utilize it as well. Manu did it better than anybody else but I doubt it was a step specifically from Europe.
Popular, but not nearly as popular as taking 5 steps without being called for traveling. Everybody does that, now, though no new rules have been passed allowing more than 2 steps without dribbling.
What player has the deadliest Euro?
Me lol 😂

Manu was crazy with it 💪🏾

Thank you - I'm glad that people are enjoying these breakdowns.
don't compare, we add value to each other differently, respect that
true
After Ginobilli this move made popular. In Ginóbili this move was natural and his signature move, and today a lot of prime players used.
Manu Ginóbili hizo famoso el eurostep y lo perfeccionó en los años 2000 .
i love the sense of humor about the bench bro :))) amazing, coach

We’ve been doing this move since the 70’s in the Philippines.
broo you are so underated
you coach got the comedy in tooo, haha love it
i was taught a Euro Step in 1974 or so back in the ussr in the physical education class... I am sure it is almost as old as the basketball itself.

MANU GINOBILI THE BEST
Bodiroga and then Doncic, yes!
Harden and Manu had 1 more thing in common both are LEFT HANDED. Don't forget Lefty Marciolionos

I love how the commentators are calling it a side-step😂
Ginobili is the Euro step God.
I would call it a “handball step”😊
"Back in the day", the referees would always call it a travel. That's the truth. They were ignorant
I did it before i knew it is called eurostep.😀
En el futbol también se hace ,el mejor con ese movimiento era Ronaldo Nazario, dejaba torados en el piso a los porteros
Eurostep = Traveling
Euro 3 step
In 90s we didnt call that Euro step. We call it just a Normal side step
"you can also dunk it" - of course I can!
Can we get a low pick up video possibly ??
Gonna do a video on all the pickups. Low will be in there!

Lol on the trivia question I said they were both left handed
It’s called traveling.
6:20 and they are both left handed
i was born in the mid 70s in thw 90s we called that side step lmao
Why do they crown ginobili's Euro-step when he's obviously from Argentina!! it should be called....Latin-American Step!!
If Elgin Baylor was doing the Euro step in the 60s and 70s how did someone invent it in 1989
