I know there's a lot of crossover parts between the models but there needs to be more of these videos of the older sleds. Thanks for doing this one because it's at least within a couple years of the sled I need to change the track on. I did have to giggle though... that the track you're putting on is the same condition of the track I'm taking off! You have fray lines crossing the entire track, which is a crack, and each of us to decide whether or not it's "okay". I have additional chunks missing so you'll probably buy more time with yours. Great video though! I'm so grateful you took the time to make it and publish it to help the rest of us shade-tree enthusiasts! Ride on brother!
Nice job I wish I had all that help when I do mine it's just me and a ratchet strap. I would recommend replacing those bearings when you had the drive shaft out.
Hey if I’m having cog/ track alignment issues with the cogs shifting off of the lugs on the track is that a sign it needs shaft bearings? It’s like the cogs with shift about a half inch off and not engage the track lugs.
Question if I’m having issues with the cogs becoming out of alignment with the track is it the driveshaft bearings? Is this process the same to do the bearings?
It is very similar to this . If you have reverse there is lots more gears in the chaincase to becarful with and washers . Make sure you use blue locktite on all the bolts and touque them to spec
Thank you for editing out the extra. Perfect just the important stuff.
You explain things very well, thank you

He changed the track because it was the wrong length.

I've watched this video about 5times and I already know how to change the track from the first time watching on here on how thanks for the great vid.
Didn't know there is a grease zert there...have to check mine once snow goes .cheers. !!
Yeah, I agree. Great video. Thanks for sharing some of your knowledge.
Why is it such a can of worms to remove the secondary clutch (Pulley as you call it ) It is one bolt and slides off like butter!
That's funny as I was going to say the same. I just took apart a secondary off a 94 last night and had it back together in 15mins😀
I agree, PLUS you Have to take the pulley off to grease the important jackshaft zerk right behind it.!
Just another shady UA-cam mechanic lol
Yep no big deal to remove, and on my Indy 500 you need to take it off to hit a grease zert
Just wanted to say, the most important grease zerk is behind the variable pulley,,,so you may as well take it off,,no big deal....

omg life saver thank you brian you are the best
Great video very helpful thank you
My speedo hub below the secondary isn't coming off, any suggestions? I'm pulling on it pretty good, chain case side still closed.

do you still have that 133.5 in track? i have a 94 indy classic touring that needs a new belt.
any chance you still have the 133.5 x 15 track? im in need of one
What size is the chain in the chain case if you know by chance
10:11 me too
Someone can tell me if my polaris classic touring 600 2002 is the same procédure?

Кто подскажет Где стоит сальник ведущего вала?
I crushed my fingers trying to get the belt off my old one
