Was researching what kind of dog to get and came across your videos. Taking your advice into consideration I got myself a black lab puppy from a working line and he has been an absolute dream to train. Thanks brother and god bless the USA.

Hi Stonnie, I just found your channel a few days ago but I have already seen a good amount of your videos. Thank you for doing a great job. You are super fun to listen to and the tips and tricks you share are helpful. I am dog sitting a Golden Retreiver puppy every weekday from 12pm to 2pm. It is amazing to experience the joy she feels every time we go on a new adventure together. She follows me around and tries new stuff everyday. It is amazing what you can see and do if you just keep your eyes open and look for the adventure. I give her treats every time she is attentive and calm and I praise her every time she is brave. It is working really well. Thanks!

Another good video. Looks as tho Stonnie has a career that is fun and rewarding. No job is all peaches and cream tho. I'm sure he has come across several dog owners that may not be so fun to deal with.

Stonnie! Thanks for another great video. I love going on adventures with my dog. For the most part, my dog doesn't wander too far off leash, but a couple times she has run after a deer and goes pretty far. She always comes back, but it's not safe for her to do this. For now I am keeping her on a long line which is a bit of a buzz kill. What can I do to keep my dog from going after deer?

E collar! Put your dog through collar conditioning and reinforce the "here" command.

You should make a video on how to teach the dog to turn ON and OFF the
protection watch command(watch on the decoy). There are many videos on
how to turn it on but not many on how to turn it off, I mean, the
decoy being able to pet again the dog and not be at risk after being
seen as a threat. We don't want have a hindrance instead of an asset

Hi Stonnie. First of all I like to say I love your videos and your way of dog training. We are getting a new pup in the beginning of the new year and it's a Hovawart . Have you ever trained one of those?

Nice to see the dogs "checking in" with you on occasion without being prompted. These dogs must be further in their training because I noticed you didn't reward them when they did that.

Some dogs fade off the treats quickly. Labs and English Springers have a natural tendency to stay close!

@@StonnieDennis can you Trim a English sprinters coat hair or any spanials for that matter? Or does it hurt their coat to trim them?
I'm just tired of picking out cocklburrs and weeds haha.

Do you often find you have to "train" labs into swimming? I ask because my 4mo old pup sprinted into the first lake I ever took him to, and I'm curious which reaction you see more often?
