    This video is masterpiece and such a underrated one. The fact "only" 770 people have saw this video is not fair. Should be in thousands. Keep working this video has helped me a lot and keeps helping 💪

    I always love that not only doing you do the research and tell us what you've learned, but you always give such concrete and personal examples that make it incredibly tangible.

      Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words. Many late nights to get this one completed. The perfectionist in me wanted to put more time into it, but it was time to let the video fly. Thanks again, and wishing you all the best.

    Thomas Shelby is literally who I imagine myself when I have high pressure situations. A book I read called “the Alter ego effect” gave another tip to leveling yourself up by acting out your alter ego and how they would manage the situation. Kobe Bryant’s was the Black Mamba, Clark Kent was Superman, etc.
    So Glad to see you back in the air my friend!

    Hi Joel, great video. I'd love some tips from you how to manage pressure and stress during an interviews after choking a couple of final round interviews for jobs that I really wanted. Thanks!

    • @joelr5840
      @joelr5840  Рік тому +1

      Hey Nova! Thanks for watching and great question. My overarching feedback on interviews would be to practice a lot. But be very intentional about what you are practicing. I think if you practice these questions and know them very well, you'll give yourself a really good chance of success.
      1. Why company X? And how does joining this company get you closer to your vision for your career?
      2. Be able to speak about what you did at your last company really clearly. How did they measure your success? Did you hit those goals?
      3. 60 second elevator pitch - you need to be able to clearly convey to people who you are in 60 seconds. This is likely the first question they will ask: "tell me about yourself!" - be sure you nail this one to set the tone.
      4. Lastly, have good question lined up. I will give you one of my secrets here :) one of the best, most universal questions you can ask an interviewer. Tell me how you measure success in your role.
      LMK if that helps. Happy to be useful if I can be.
