Just found you a few days ago and man I gotta say i’m impressed! You’re putting out content that has the same quality if not better then youtubers with 100k+ subscribers. Keep going brother, you’re gonna blow up this year
This is a wonderful video - well-researched, actionable and simple to understand. Joel's UA-cam will grow immensely with time, it has all the potential.
What a fantastic video! I had to rewatch certain parts of it to take notes, so that I don't forget. It seems I need to work on the first two principles to reach my goals.
When I started the video, I thought this guy must have a million subscribers until I got to the end and checked it out. Good work man, I'm sure you'll grow to that level eventually.
Solid advice. Would have been an added bonus if you would have included a list of top 3/5/n books from the 30 books you had read on friendships/relationships.
Bro this is generally one of the best small UA-cam channels I’ve ever seen! You have a lot of potential especially if your consistent and focus on self-improvement. This video was very helpful thanks!
Thank you! That is the sort of meta element of this video. If you want to make friends, add value for people. And hopefully by creating this video that made me us a bit closer to becoming friends. Thanks for tuning in Verwirrt, wishing you all the best!
Thanks May. There are tons of great strategies out there. The key is finding the ones that make sense for you and going out and trying. Wishing you massive success if whatever you pursue. -Joel
OMG I inadvertently watched your channel. You are super intelligent and I look up to you. I am Korean I will usually watched your channel so that improve my English skills. Thank ye 😚😚
That is awesome!! I have always wanted to learn a second language. I have tried using the Duolingo app, but it is hard to stay consistent. I really admire you for learning a second language. Best of luck, and wishing you great success!
Thank you, Emily!! I really appreciate the kind words. It means a lot. I have been working like crazy on a script for my next video. I was losing confidence in it, and this comment gave me the inspiration to keep pushing through. Thank you!
That stress switch ALONE is going to help me A LOT!!! And on the charisma formula, I feel like I mostly need to improve my power... and YOU KNOW ALEX HORMOZI? Joel, you're going to explode on here, so much insight that's not the typical "HUSTLE BRO" advice you see all over. You and I share a lot of interests, self improvement, marketing, entrepreneurship, etc. How can I meet up with you? I'll learn chess if I have to XD
Thanks, Sidd. I really appreciate the kind words. I really enjoy doing all of this research, connecting the dots and then sharing with others. It means a lot that you find them useful. Thanks for tuning in!
By the quality of your video and content, my brain automatically assumed that you are someone with 100k+ subscriber. Hats off to you and thanks for uploading
Thanks for the video, I read how to win and influence people for more information on this topic. Good luck with growing your channel😊 greetings from Germany
Thanks Tamara! I really enjoyed How To Win Friends. Of all the books I read, I think the first few chapters of "Charisma Myth" by Olivia fox was the best. Totally changed how I thought about human relationships. Cheers and thanks for the kind words!
Hey I am your 1k subscriber. I got your video randomly recommended by UA-cam and by the time I found you you're only one step away at 1k. I wish you good luck on your journey of making videos on the future! (Great video btw)
Thank you!!! I really admire people who support others in their journey. 1000 subs has been a goal of mine for a long time. Thanks a ton for helping me get there. Wishing you a great year!
very good content and presentation. i wonder for how long have you rehearsed/shot this. one thing only, i would probably switch the order of the tips - first set my principles, rethink anxiety, go to events and there be charismatic _and_ create value for others. seems more chronological and less chaotic this way :)
Hey JJ, I've been thinking about this comment for a few days now, and really appreciate the thoughtful comment. My preferred format for videos is: 1. intro, 2. the psychological obstacle, 3. tips. But I was worried that the psychological challenge components were too slow, and for that reason I should go right into a concrete tip (i.e. go to recurring events). Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to revert back to the original format because to your point, it chronologically makes more sense and truthfully it is just more interesting of a video for me to research and create. Many thanks! -Joel
@@joelr5840 I'd say there's no need to overthink it as well :) (especially considering only one voice that said that) Your approach also makes sense and I was not thinking about it from aesthetic/flow point of view when I wrote the comment. I'll be looking forward to your next videos very much. Cheers
Hii Joel !!! I aspire to entrepreneur one day, have been watching and applying to you since a week. Your videos are really great. Keep Up the work.. Would love to hear you on entrepreneurship in days to come.
Thanks! Entrepreneurship is a difficult journey. But it is all worth it in the end. I did it because I loved to invent new ideas and I wanted financial freedom. If your goals are strong enough you can do it! I'll definitely think of some entrepreneurial style videos soon. I really appreciate the suggestion.
You are amazing. I am very happy I found you. I want to add value by creating content like you do. Thank you for the inspiration and for this valuable information. Can you please share the list of all the books you read? I want to read them all.
Very good video with great principles to start with although i needed this kind of video a year or so back when i was an introvert ! keep it up with this quality content. and about chess if you play online let me know.
So Insightful ! Joel i sometimes get stuck in uncertainty which leads to inaction so i want to know how ultra successful people always stay inspired & manage time with energy ? What's the best book on spending our time wisely especially in late 20s to achieve success in career with a full time job but still managing our solopreneurs ambitions of being independent..
Hey Mohib, thanks for the question. I know the challenges all too well! It is important to distinguish between motivation and discipline. As many have shared before, "motivation is what gets you started but discipline is what keeps you going." Re: Solopreneur: I would always advise finding a business partner to help you. Most companies that get investor funding and then go on to be successful are started by teams of 2+. Y Combinator has a few good blog posts on this. Cofounders can have complementary skills and you can keep each other motivated when times get hard. With regard to spending time wisely: Atomic Habits is probably the best I have read on using your time well.
Can you recommend the best book of this 30? And can you recommend a book about the mindset and beliefs when it comes to friendships? I know it has to do with childhood and what you learned there....
1. Platonic - Marisa Franco was the most actionable, i.e. go to recurring events. It works. 2. The first few chapters of The Charisma Formula was the most mind expanding to me. You don't need to read the whole book. Just the few chapters covers it all.
Of the books I read, the first few chapters of "The Charisma Myth" were the most life changing. It totally changed how I think about how I communicate and present myself. I also suck as small talk, so "How to Talk to Anyone 92 Little Tricks for Big Success in Relationships" was also a really good one.
