The first I ever learned of Varnea was in "What If...Wolverine was Lord of the Vampires". It included The Punisher and Doctor Strange, 1990. One of the best comics I ever read. I wish I still had it but I lost it on a road trip down south. But I re-read it so many times. Cover that Rob!❤

2 days ago i read Doctor Strange issue #18; my 3rd comic book read ever. This to say thank you sir for the content on your channel as it has me invested in reading comic books.
Fun fact: Varnae actually served directly under Thulsa Doom of Kull the Conqueror /Conan the Barbarian fame. He also is based on the 1845 penny dreadful character Varney the Vampire, the first appearance of a vampire in our pop culture hence him being the first vampire in canon. It's really cool that pulled him up for this story
I would have liked to see the vampires still being weak to sunlight and Miles Morales still being a vampire, and so now he can only operate at night, and he could be doing nighttime escapades and it would be Batman like where he goes out at night, strikes from that shadows, and has dark and amazing stories like that. That would have been awesome, but I will take what we got.

Speaking of Chthon, in the Scarlet Witch comic it showed her drinking tea with Chthon, and Chthon said that Scarlet Witch's bonds on him and his imprisonment. I hope that Chthon gets free and we get a Chthon vs Dormammu, I just want to see that. I know that some people will say that it is not really a fair matchup, or they will say something about it, but I still want to see that. I hope that they upgrade Dormammu, like it said that his power grows with beings in other dimensions that worship him as a god, so they can make him gain more power that way, or make it where Dormammu goes back to the realm of his birthplace with the other Faltines, and he conquers that and takes the power of all of his people and it makes him even more powerful. But anyway, just gaining more power and characters like Chthon and Dormammu fight.
It... I did like this, although I wished for more. I would have either done two things: 1. Blade possessed by Varne becoming this ultra powerful dark God that can consume entire plants and stars goes out into the universe and does that and takes out a lot of races and people and he takes his forces with him and with his powers he encases them in darkness to protect them from sunlight like a extra layer or skin or a suit, and him and his forces go around doing that, feasting on people, then the Avengers and the Guardians of The Galaxy and others that have survived his onslaught unit to face him and it is unliving darkness God Varne and his forces vs all of those people like on some Avengers Endgame type of stuff where he is a universal level threat where others have to be involved, and they win that way. 2. They make it to where when Blade drank Dracula's blood that it drove him insane and Varne used that opportunity to possess Blade because his mind was already fractured, and when they do force Varne out of Blade, that instead of Blade being ok Blade would still be crazy and he would still lead the assault with the vampires and attack the heroes because he is just instinctual, insane, bloodthirsty, and monsterous who just wants to kill and feed. So, they do that, and they end up defeating Blade, and that would then lead into Blade going down the road to having to do things to make up for that and redeem himself. Something like either of those. Tell me what you all think.

However, every time they get resurrected they lose a little bit of themselves until eventually they become essentially mindless zombies, at which point khonshu picks a new fist. Marc hasn't hit that point yet, the reason he couldn't be resurrected is because khonshu was too weak to resurrect anyone while imprisoned. Now that he's free he can resurrect people again. Thor is immune to vampirism, he said as much in issue 1, hes just been restrained by the blood coven. Black panther simply removed the blades he was stuck on, no heart shaped herb transfer involved.

Panther never turned Thor back, because Thor wasn’t turned into a vampire to begin with, he can’t be. If you remember issue no 1, Damascene- that super vampire with the spikes that can pierce anything, shot his spike through Thor’s head. And that just switched Thor’s brain off. He was hanging their unconscious and bleeding for Varnae to get god’s blood. T’challa just removed that spike! That’s what Varnae thought T’challa is attacking him with. But that just gave Thor the opportunity to heal his brain and come to senses. Also, is it just me, or did Dracula say explaining the vampires’ new immunity to sun: when you save the world , the world owes you a debt. Seems to me he meant that vampires somehow helped Doom to set up this whole event and he gave them this immunity now that he is the Sorcerer Supreme as a payback.
Okay Rob, I think you got confused. Thor said in issue 1 that he could not be turned into a Vampire and do the Vampires stuck stakes in him to incapacitate him. Black Panther just removed those stakes in order to get Thor back into the battle.
Here's a question, how come Knull didn't try absorb or become part of the Dark Force dimension back during the King in Black storyline? I mean we know it's because the writers didn't write him that way but aside from that, if he could do something like that what would be able to stop him? Also, is it just me, or did Dracula say explaining the vampires’ new immunity to sun: when you save the world , the world owes you a debt. Seems to me he meant that vampires somehow helped Doom to set up this whole event and he gave them this immunity now that he is the Sorcerer Supreme as a payback.
Okay Rob, I think you got confused. Thor said in issue 1 that he could not be turned into a Vampire and do the Vampires stuck stakes in him to incapacitate him.
Black Panther just removed those stakes in order to get Thor back into the battle.
Calling anything that happened in this event "Ahhmaayyyzziiiingzzz!" is hilarious.
Here's a question, how come Knull didn't try absorb or become part of the Dark Force dimension back during the King in Black storyline? I mean we know it's because the writers didn't write him that way but aside from that, if he could do something like that what would be able to stop him?
