He hasn't mentioned any actual problems. Screen is good, battery life is better than Ultra, build quality survives without case. What exactly are the "5 Problems" ?
This review is very accurate. I had both devices before I caved in and kept the S22 ultra. The ultra loses like 5 to 7 percent overnight so the stand by time is horrid. The S22 Plus battery lasted longer easily for me.

I have the S22+ have absolutely no issues with heating
Although my Plus is starting to get a bit buggy with Google apps like UA-cam, I still love my phone and glad I traded my Note 9 in for it. Hated the curved screen so although I still have camera envy, the size of the Ultra and the corners digging into my small hand was a deal breaker . And I have dropped the phone so many times, the first time i dropped my Note 5 and Note 9, the screen shattered even with screen protectors and cases. Now I just need to find out why UA-cam keeps on saying I'm offline and I have to restart it half a dozen times a day.
I was wondering about upgrading to the s22 plus and there comme a notification of your channel, and it was what I need. Great content alway simple and direct to the subject, from your first video till now am enjoying how good you are in providing the right and good stuff needed nowadays in a day to day usage. Now it's clear for me on upgrading to the s22 plus.

I hope they would massively improve the battery life on the s23+, so that I can trade in my 13 pro max for it. The only reason I chose the 13PM over the s22+ is the insane battery life, as the 13PM is really heavy and cumbersome. Great video!

I hear so much about battery life about this device of which is my daily driver all day battery life every day and I'm going on ten months now I take my s22+ off the charger and off to my job battery life depending on how much I use Google maps GPS texting all day and calls talking UA-cam and home after about 12 hours on my job at night time I have about 20 percent sometimes a bit more eighteen hours sometimes more off of one change so yes the s22+ is average battery life and overall a very good device one of the best that I've ever owned! Thanks for the good review!
I just love how the S22+ looks. The blocky feel like an iPhone. I don't like iPhone but I love the blockier feel of it
I didn't know that holding a phone is boring 🤣 i mean, I have this phone for 4 months now, I don't feel the phone is "boring" its just a brick with a screen, like others, even if the flip or fold are different, i dont get the point at all. I think what phones overall makes fun experience is what you can do with the apps.
Got a light blue 256Go S22+ for a month and i'm telling you than I can see a difference between a FHD and a QHD (of my S10+) It trigerred me because the screen is huge and I can see every single pixels when i'm close, but I'm telling to my self that its for a better battery life, so yes, very happy with this screen and my almost 6h SoT.
Yeah, it's actually less noticeable on the regular s22. The s22 plus has the exact same resolution as the s22, which means it has less pixel density because the screen is bigger.
i'm glad someone mentioned the real life usage when it comes to battery life. my S10+ used to drain fast when i first bought it, but now i can easily use it for a whole day or even more. all phones tend to do that until they learn your usage pattern. next year i want to switch my S10+ to S22, but my friends told me not to switch it up yet and wait until S23 comes out. what do you think?
I agree, either the s22 price drop or the s23 will be a sighnificant apgrade and in both cases you win
Switching to the s23 or s22 you'll get a better camera but lose headphone jack and SD card slot. The s23 and s22 only have 128GB and 256GB options
@@emir6110 nah, i don't mind losing the jack. i stopped using wired headphones and earphones for 4 years now. as for the space, my S10+ has 128 GB and i still have 54 GB free. i use my laptop to store my photos and videos because i have plenty of space on it
I've been without a phone for about 2 months and just got the S22 plus, because I didn't want to wait any longer for the S23 to be available. I was worried about the battery life because I'd heard so many reviews of bad battery life. I don't do gaming and I'm not glued to my phone all day. However, the first 2 days I was on my phone a lot running updates, calling, texting, customizing the phone, etc. The 3rd day was texting, looking at news, and still playing around with my phone and the 4th day usage was minimal. The 4th night was the first time I had to charge my phone since I charged it out of the box. It was crazy it lasted that long. I keep my phone on dark mode, and brightness is about 3 or 4 out of 10. I used the Samsung charger kit, which I'm not sure if it charges the phone better, but after 4 days it still had 29% charge left. So far, I love the phone. I use my phone less than most people, but getting 4 days after doing all I did on my phone shocked me. I haven't experienced my phone getting hot either like a lot of other reviews stated. I don't regret getting it. I thought you might like to hear what this phone will do on one charge from someone who doesn't have their phone in their face all day. A review like this would have helped me while I was trying to decide what to get. Maybe it will help you or some others.

S22 Ultra has a higher resolution screen which is why both have similar battery life. Simple as that
Hey Chilled, what Flip 4 color you getting? I'm on the same boat you are bro. Went from Flip 3 > S22+ > Flip 4. If they fixed the battery life (which looks like they did) it will be the perfect phone for me.
About the boreness of the 22+: in my opinion we arrived at a saturation of technology. It's not evolving as fast at 15y ago where every year the new techs on phone were incredible.
Before my s22+ , I had the s8. My thoughts:
- awesome new design, awsome screen.
But.
Bigger bezels on the sides.
Lower screen resolution
NO IMPROVEMENT OF RESOLUTION of the main camera (just improvement of the processing of the pictures)
A bit faster phone
And it's 5 YEARS LATER!!!
Tbh I wish they would wait 2 years between devices and use the incremental time to innovate and really put some extra thought into the new models

I was thinking of upgrading to the s22 but it is a downgrade from my s8 in so many ways, i dont understand how after 5 years the newest flagship is somehow worse in many ways.
This would have been unfathomable some time ago going from the s3 to the s8 for example, it felt like stepping into the future.
@@leansnscenes7806 I have a note 8 but it's braking I am thinking of getting either the s22 ultra or the fold 4 if I find it on a good deal. I did find a good deal on the fold 4 their was a offer which offered $200 on top of $500 boost, free s-pen case, free samsung care + , $100 loyalty voucher, $50 newsletter voucher and 10% off voucher but I never got this special deal as when I tried using the trade up app it declined my prepaid debit card for some reason
s22 series has horrible battery life! I switched to iphone 13 pro and don't have battery anxiety anymore ... S series used to be the real deal now only the Ultra model and exynos is still worse than snapdragon. Samsung needs to bring snapdragon only for s23 and improve battery life big time!

Watching you from my s22 plus green exynos version rn. Got it 2 weeks ago thanks to your reviews and so far I love it, my only complaint that I think only applies to the exynos version is that the videos get laggy for a few secs after resuming from a pause or going back 10 secs in yt, hope an update fixes it.
I also got a clear case but with black bezels, and although it won't become yellow, the green color doesn't appear as bright as it would without the case...
Nevertheless so glad I got this one
Love it!! Yeh it's tough to preserve that beautiful green and even the clear case barely was able to do so! I'm surprised by the difference between the exynos and the SD versions however.
how is the battery life on it?

@@aaron-lyk 5g when I'm outside and WiFi at home. As for the usage I don't play games but I do spend hours watching content here on yt or twitter but now that I'm working not that much all day, now I do make phone calls and use teams very frequently. The phone lasts very well, last time I had a packed schedule with work and then classes i arrived home around 11:30pm with 20% battery. The phone overall is a solid phone, the only thing I found weird is the laggy behavior that I mentioned before. 2 updates later and this issue hasn't been fixed.
I'm a person who doesn't have 20/20 vision so yeah mobile display quality is big deal to me coz I can easily know if the screen is not great. Well I'm still using theSNote10 plus.
I just got the S22 +, but I have a doubt about the "Ghost Screen". Is it still a problem?

I have an S22 plus and for some reason when I talk to text. The sentences always want to begin with the word "is"? Anyone have any thoughts on what's wrong or how to fix it ?t mobile doesn't have a clue.
Using S22+ for last 6-7 month's phone is absolutely fine but just battery life is little bad otherwise in terms of camera and performance it's still standing fine in 2024

I've always wanted a Samsung Note since gen 1 and I finally got one with the S22ULTRA and couldn't be happier none of the issues people complain about have affected me
great to hear it!
Reviews are just people who had rich parents. When you haven't always had the nicest things. A phone like the s22 series is like getting a really nice car when you've just had a car that got you from point a to point b.
Same, I can't even recall a single time a app or game crashed on me sinceive had this phone. The only time this phones feels hot is when I'm gaming. Alos full charge gets me through the day (granted I'm not clued to my phone in public).

1080p plus 120hz is GREAT I dono how anybody could complain about the display the fold 3 has it but a WAY bigger display so a lower PPI and it was still plenty sharp for me the display isn't an issue in my opinion
So these problems exist only if you compare it to the overkill ultra.. got it..

my only problems is mostly software, android 12 has felt alot more sluggish and slightly buggy compared to 11 and even 10, hopefully whenever android 13 is out it will return the experience i had with older versions otherwise overall its been good. havent had any issues with battery like alot of people do
I had that same problem with the lg v60, when I would play games on it, it was sluggish at times and the responses were slow or not responding at all. My lg phone had the 5000 mah with 8gb, I had switched to the iPhone 14 pro max with 6gb and the performance and smoothness is so much better. I was losing battery quicker than on my iPhone.
i don't know how it is on newer phones, but i have Android 12 on my S10+ and it works fine. i play games on it too and i use it a lot during the day. maybe you should check for updates or check the storage cause that can slow down your phone too

I agree. Android 11 was REALLY good on Samsung's flagship phones. 12 just wasn't great, by comparison. 13 is better, but still not as clean as 11 was.

Long time Samsung user here. And I agree with you! Samsung consistently is super terrible w/ there phones handling heat and yes they have terrible battery management. I do not get why can't seem to fix this. Even if you put in every possible battery saving technique you can find your battery will drain just about the same. As for heat that's another thing problem, merely connecting to the wifi network would cause the any Samsung device to heat up.
That’s always been why I switch between. I love the UI and all the customizable options but it’s always the battery management that kills it for me and I end up switching back. Say what you will about Apple but they have their battery optimization down. I could leave it in my pocket all day and use it sparingly and it’ll maybe drain like 5-10%. I could have my Samsung in my pocket and not use it and it’ll be at 75% by the end of the day. Even a brand new one. They gotta fix that
yeah, the heating is the worst. my S10+ heats sometimes too, especially when i use it for more than 2 hours or when i try to charge it on my wireless charger. as for battery, i guess it depends on the usage. mine still works fine and i can use my phone for an entire day with only one charge.

Can somebody explain what's the difference between these 2 models of s22+: SM-S906E/DS and SM-S906B/DS? And which one to choose?
Chipset difference brother one has Exynos other has Snapdragon
one thing i really dont like about the s22 is the biometric sensors... ive been using a huawei p30 pro for 2 years now and started using a s22 and it pisses me off every single time
None of these are "problems", they're just comparisons... of course the Ultra is a little better, that's why it's a little more expensive option!
Where is everyone getting this great battery life? Mine is absolutely horrendous and I'm nowhere near a power user and only have like a dozen apps installed. The ownership experience has been so frustrating.
despite the cons of the phone, I still think that the S22 is the best phone Samsung has made yet. (in my opinion)

It reminds me of a S10E pro or something . I try alot of phones out, and this is my favourite by far. Perfect size. Flat display looks incredible etc.
@@nickk6372 everyone has their own interest though. I got a s10+ before. I really liked it but the optimization is just not good.
I think memory card option should have been there and the cameras pro mode does not work properly. When I try to take light trails no matter what setting I use, the image gets over over over exposed, almost white.

We love our galaxy s22 plus but the only thing we all agree on the pictures that we take are all overly saturated terrible no matter how we do it or what we fixed to edit it never looks as good as our other phones we've had through Samsung anybody help?

I got the Anqrp Hidden Series Galaxy S22 Plus Case which comes in a gorgeous green that really complements my green Plus. I occasionally suffer a pang of "Ultra Angst" but I really like my Plus. It's the size I prefer and is easy to carry. The display like you said is flat and beautiful. And it's just a solid, full featured (excepting phono jack and SD card), all around great phone.

I don't understand why people are fixated on the 1080P display. Didn't they read the specks prior to purchasing it? The Ultra has a larger screen thus have higher density screen. You stated you didn't notice the 1080P after so many months then in your mind it wasn't sharp after someone brought it up? Seriously?
I have been samsung user all my life. Not sure why but i feel like switching to ip14 pro max soon. I dont use my phone for customization or gaming. Just need the phone for the basic stuff like whatsapp,call ,camera and watching netflix. What i have realize is that we are paying 1000 plus dollars for samsung yet the battery is just shitty. When a person like me just need a phone to work n last long,i feel iphone works well in everything especially battery. But again my only worry is that ios may be too restricted. So not sure if it be a good move

Yeah I've had the s8, s9, and am currently using s20+ and I have to charge my phone multiple times within a day, was considering getting an s22 earlier this year but now I've decided getting a 13 pro
My S22 plus gets me through to bedtime. Depends on your use case
Idk i cant use 120hz on my s22 + otherwise the battery is empty after like 2 hours of SOT. So I'm sitting on power saving mode all the time to get through the day. And even then i dont get past 4 hours SOT.
I went from a note 10 to the s22+ and couldn't be happier. I absolutely hated the curved display of the note 10.
I agree with you totally on this phone except on the boring part only cause I'm not a reviewer or anything. I still love my phone. But that's just me.
Boredom isnt really a problem and you’re right!! Its reliable and an overall great device but for a reviewer i wanted to point out that the trade in was the only reason i was moving on!

I'm considering the s22+ and the oneplus10 pro. Which would you choose between those two? The s22+ is presently $999 and the oneplus 10 pro is now $799 in our local t mobile stores. Is the s22+ worth the extra $200?
Yes ... Given that OnePlus is just rip off of oppo it makes for sense now to own Samsung if you don't IOS.
If u r not into much video recording then no need to buy s22+
One plus po doesn't support front camera 4k recoding.
And s22+ doesn't have fast charging as compared to one plus 10

Battery is a big deal. But, this time it wasn’t going to be my deal breaker. I use an iPhone 13 Pro as a day driver but I also use my phone for work everyday. I’m using apps that constantly track location for work and it drains my iPhone fast. I don’t wanna ruin my battery before my two years of paying it off. I got an s22 for free for adding a line so I’m going to use it as a work phone. I don’t have any experience with Samsung since the s8. I’m concerned about the battery life being bad but also, it’s going to serve one purpose so if I have to charge it during the day it’s really not doing anything that’s gonna hurt me since it won’t be my daily driver. So normally I’d consider battery life as a top 3. I’m an apple user so displays don’t take up a whole lot of my reasons for not or for getting a phone. Lol, but idk we will see. I think for what I’m using it for, I’ll be ok.

I got an A21 :')
i have 2 samsung flagships with both facing same issues down the line. brand new theyre fine. so the issues started about 1 and half years later. the major issues are green flickering, lag after update, over heating, battery drain, reduced camera performance. the severe lag and green flickering are making the device unusable. how does 2 devices have same set of issues...... am gonna go ios am done with samsung

Where is the camera lag. You press the button, and it takes another second to shoot. You end up with a whole bunch of missed shots.
So if you're a practical consumer, get the plus over the ultra? Boring? Arnt the folds made with plastic screens

Yh I noticed the display difference cos I had the s20 and it blew the s22+ out of the park. So much so I was tempted to stick to the s20 or go for an s21 plus instead.

While I don’t have the s22 plus I do have the s21 plus and I think it is the best Samsung galaxy I have ever had. And one of the reason for that is a FREAKING FLAT DISPLAY…. I cannot stand for the life of me a curved display I just can’t stand it I hat having to find screen protectors for them I have broken the corner more than I like to admit and as soon as the s series got flat displays I went for the s21 plus and it was the best decision I ever made and I think of the best reason to get the s22 plus if you are looking for a new phone
Idk why it feels like these are not major issues you're just trying to point out some illogical differences by comparing this phone to one the best phone of Samsung's s22 series. It's like you're comparing mule with horse and telling why are you facing problem with mule. Why mule don't run fast as horse? Why mule is bad looking than horse?
So the moral of the story is compare s22plus with Phones that comes under same price range or the previous model s21 plus.

I still have S10 working great now have to recharge after 11 hours of use.
But changing to S22 because of amazing deal a free S22 by switching to new carrier and keep my beloved S10.

Between a 1000 s22 ultra and a 800 s22+ is it worth the extra 200? I have a note 9 and was waiting for snapdragon to get to Brazil to upgrade. Like the pen but almost never use it. Focus is camera and battery. Don't like iPhone

No Charger Samsung heating issue
I've had the S22+ for 3 months and I have noticed the difference in sharpness between S22+ and the S9+ I had before. Not an absolute deal-breaker, just a bit annoying if you've got an eye for small details like that (I do lol).
In terms of battery, I can get around 7 hrs of SOT although I generally use battery between 85% to 25% which gives 4 hrs of SOT.
I have experienced a couple of bugs with some apps, like UA-cam where the sound will randomly stop. I also had a problem with Android Auto where I couldn't access Google Maps unless I opened the app on my phone first before connecting. Thankfully this has been fixed with updates though.
Overall, I'd give the phone 8.5/10!
