Lucky to be born in Bhutan. One of the most happiest country in the world.

I have often thought to have an extended stay in Tibet and Bhutan.
Fuck Bhutan it’s a hell
American extended stay is two weeks instead of one. They can't afford to have real extended stays.
@@birmagar3135 what makes you say so?
Bhutan is best in the world. This country isn't just carbon neutral, it's carbon negative.
Love from India.
From the Ted talk, right?

@@MrRedthorn he didn't say he lives in the USA, he is in the USA now. What's his comment has to do with anything else than his love for his country anyway?
Ram Niroula why in the world would you leave your beautiful country to come to the USA? I envy the people who live there.
I respect the Bhutanes people for their contentment in reality geniune happiness is more important than money or economy
Fell in love with Bhutan even since. I'd love to visit this someday. -Love from the Philippines
same here ang sarap tumira sa country nila walang toxic
@@ReignarGuevarra cheers to no toxicity hahahha
We are proud of You (Bhutan)as a South Asian. love you from #Bangladesh
OMG !!!! This reminds me of my 3 cutest Bhutanese sisters.... There is Kindness in their soul.. That what makes this country look majestic.. Love from India.. I miss you guys haha
Bhutan is the happiest country. The way they are developing based on the needs of the locals and not based on investors greed, Bhutan is an example to the rest of the world. They don't need unsolicitated big brother attitude from any outsiders.
They better stay away from China then. China's government loathes religion and persecutes religious groups there. They started with Buddhist monks and would happily destroy that tradition. China may (or may have) made offers to assist with development and once excepted - a nation is enslaved to the CCP - a bloodthirsty polity.

Bhutan is a beautiful country with beautiful people and so impressed that they can speak the English language. I hope other countries can learn from Bhutan. love from the Philippines.
Actually english is must from our pry. School ...its on d top list just like our national language..
I saw one of Tshering Tobgay TED talks and I was so inspired by their country. Truly amazing!
Beautiful place with beautiful people. Carbon negative way of life needs to be implemented everywhere on the planet, before the Earth becomes unlivable.
I think the dams are a good thing. They will cause some disruption in the tourism based rafting industry, but the good far outweighs the negatives in my opinion. It appears that they are using continuous flow dams instead of traditional reservoir dams, so the environmental impact will be far far less.
While these dams will be more susceptible to outages caused by shrinking river systems, they do not require the displacement of people and animals. They don't require flooding thousands of acres of fertile buildable land, and they do not pose the risk of bursting. Yes, the water-flow is diverted for construction, but it can easily be returned if the dam is designed to only use a portion of the volume. All those benefits and they still provide some protection against seasonal flooding due to the improved overall capacity in those areas of the river.
The only downside I can see is once the water coming from the glaciers starts to dwindle, it will leave the country with little to fall back on. That doesn't mean they shouldn't do it though, because the glaciers are going to keep shrinking regardless and perhaps the power they export will reduce their neighbors' reliance on dirty power generation. Perhaps they can contribute to stemming the tide.
As a United States citizen, it saddens me that so much of the world thinks we are all closed-minded. Our media industry has failed us.
Bhutan is the best and most peaceful country in the world ❤️ love from 🇮🇳
I hope to visit this country someday, the sooner the better. I need to work hard for it. It’s just yesterday when I read about this country and here I am instead of studying for my upcoming exam I’m watching and searching about Bhutan! Hehe☺️💕
Love from 🇵🇭

Damn what a beautiful place i hope to visit bhutan one day :)

you need to spend more than 250$/day as a tourist in bhutan just to see the fucking mountains. better go to Nepal spend 600-1000$/month and enjoy the view of similar and even bigger mountains.
bro's will you like to come your summer tourist in Dubai is very nice place I work in school over there and is good place to be, this is my email address nnadikelarryfggsah@gmail.com
@@nischalkoirala994 Nepal is a shity country
honestly i think *minimizing* imports (which results in trash), and exports (which increases wealth which is only good for increasing imports which you really don't need for real wealth) is the answer both to staying independent and retaining cultural momentum, and to help the environment.
the most important thing in life is gardens.
Bhutan is one of my dream destination🙏🙏🙏
cathy katecat u r welcome
You're most welcome 🙏
Although their country isolated the people are damn smart.
Peace, Love and Unity all around Bhutan 🇧🇹❤🙏God bless them.
Bhutan is my mother land. I was born in Bhutan but unfortunately I fled away from there to Nepal because of that I don’t know anything about place , government system , environment etc . But still I have a huge love to Bhutan .
M from bhutan ....in future i can help u visit bhutan
Its natural for a citizen to say that his country is best. But let me say with honest view, Bhutan is enjoying unprecedented peace and prosperity under our monarch and government. Bhutan offers free education and free health care, we don't have to pay a penny. Bhutan has more than 70 percent forest and its enshrined in our Constitution that we maintain 60 percent for all time to come. Our great 4th King , gave his power to the people by transitioning towards democracy even though all the people objected. His majesty the 4th king even included a clause in the constitution saying that we can even impeach even the King. Currently we are Constitutional democratic monarchy. If any people in Bhutan is facing problems like homeless , His majesty grants land and property to the homeless people and yep there is no begger or homeless people. When pandemic came to Bhutan, Our 5th king was the frontliner who travelled all over the country to check the status. Currently we have zero death rate , all thanks to Govt and His majesty. We recently celebrated 113th National day with pride 🇧🇹
Thumbs up #Bhutan, you are the true leader of Sustainable Development, keep it up! Bravo!
Been to bhutan have close friends in bhutan wish to be in bhutan always. But unfortunately their government can't have me. I wish to work for their government and keep that nation glorious and its people forests waters and wildlife intact. All my love for this magical land on earth called Bhutan. If ever there is a place I wish to live and die its Bhutan....
Well where r u from...i believe if ur really dedicated to be here, there are foreigners working here...
This country is the world leader in the truest sense
"we develop at our own pace" .. this got me

Bhutan Thanks for fighting against the Global warming 🖤🖤
Respect ❤
I hope u loved it there cuz I'm bhutanese and I love my country
A beautiful country dealing with things their own way. They learned a lot from visiting other countries who had run away tourism and industrialization and decided they can do a better job. Good Luck Be Happy.
Beautiful white liquid gold. Please don"t let other people intervene with how to preserve your natural resources. You have proven to the world how you do it.
That is the best country in the world.
I love this country so much and hope to go there one day.
Most welcome 🙏
Proud and lucky to be Bhutanese , pelden drukpa
bhutan should create damns to control water or the white gold
Everything about Bhutan has to do with historical Tibet.. generation of Bhutanese kings stretch only hundred to two hundred years..Real founder of Bhutan was lamas from Tibet.. these information should b known to all the Bhutanese youth. Existence of Bhutan as independent nation was not known until Tibet was occupied by communist China. .... And I ve lots of Bhutanese frds from college days n most of them agreed.. free Tibet.. n I'm glad that Bhutan escape the communist China invasive jaw..
Tenzin Gyeltshen Wangyel pure blood Tibetan .. born and raise in indai
hello from Californa :)
for what
This is such a beautiful world I feel almost guilty watching a documentary about it.. Meaning we should just leave these beautiful people alone
The song in the background is a bhutanese traditional song on building a house
Can we find it on UA-cam. I very nice actually..
i love my Mother Land Bhutan 🇧🇹 (The Land of Thunder Dragon 🐉) & I’m always praying that for next generation i want to reborn in this country till the day i get enlightened ( to be frank Bhutan is the only country that we can able to walk away from Darkness soul to Brightens one ♾♾)🇧🇹🇧🇹 །།🐺YJFP🇧🇹།།
Bhutanese speak English! Sweet people. The dams are meant to fill up the nation's coffer so that it can provide better health service and quality education for their children. The dams may look ugly today because its under constructions. Once finished and plants grow along the dams and canals, it will be beautiful again.
I want to thank Bhutan for making friends with Israel. May the Lord bless all the people of Bhutan.
stop saying government is not concerned...... at least they are happier than us.........us means united state
Respect for Bhutan 🇧🇹
our Bhutan 😍😙
I find that most of them are very smart and wise.
10:00 smile so powerful, it makes swoosh noise
Heeehh?! The speaker from TED talks is Bhutan Prime Minister!?
Dang, such a good speaker he is.
Spend my 2 years of teanage ...what a beautiful country and its people...will definitely visit this country again...god bless Bhutan and it's people....Love and Peace
USA is number 2 CO2 polluter. It makes only sense to compare numbers per capita, then USA produces double the amount of Chinese and 8 times the amount of Indians.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_carbon_dioxide_emissions_per_capita
The Bhutanese protect the environment but they have to suffer the effect of global warming contributed by other countries
Yes.. lead by US and European countries..
The difference between all of us and bhutan is that we have made our lives so complicated. We appeard on this earth as part of nature and now we have left the nature. But when we get stress when we need fresh air we try to reach the nature again. But what bhutan is doing is they live inside nature. Some Media s just go to a place and interview few people who are unhappy and creating a stereotyping for the whole place. But truth is Bhutan people are so happy. Every bhutanese person that i met in my life is so happy about wat they have. Yes problems are their because human desire is different. But the truth us bhutan is as good as Scandinavian countries at its own way ❤️
Good luck bhutan good luck world❤️
Such a beautiful country love the mountain , nature around. Montagnard we have our own country too, I love my ancestors land but today controlled by kinh also know as Vietnamese.
ABC, update your camera gears! 720 in 2018?
Beautiful Bhutan 🇧🇹
Fabulous video, I especially loved the outtakes... tyvm
Ohh God! They were worried about dam of bhutan. what about other countries who produce large amount of carbon?? Media Sucks!!
You American really got a nerve to criticise Bhutan government after your contribution to global warming...
Gross National Happiness....a beautiful concept for the world to inspire to
bhutanese must be thankful that u dont need to depend on fuels for electricity... hydro energy can be converted into energy for the cars and to all for manufactures. ypu are in a right direction leaders of Bhutan.
I see your peoples example. Thinking that others following out of love for life makes me happy
really beautiful country,..spend my entire childhood...did my schooling.....really want to visit soon....and ofcourse really beautiful and kind people......
With love from INDIA.
their english are very good, results of free education I guess. bravo...
Amazing place with beautiful people and nature. Thank you very much for sharing. Truly enjoyed it and added to my bucket list for a visit. I truly feel the neighboring countries China and India must stop polluting their own environment and neighboring countries like Bhutan.
In future Bhutan will be like biological and zoological garden of Avatars movie..all people around the world will vist country to enjoy that wonder that is greater than manmade wonder..which more beautiful and more than 7 even more than1000 wonderer....
This looks a bit like someone walked around Bhutan and, while still discovering it, tried to make a seemingly serious documentation about his first view.
It´s a very subjective, one-sided view about a country that none of us know enough about, to judge it.
western media at it's best
I agree, it's like he just showed up and started judging what he knew nothing about. #BiasedLiberalMedia
He literally just went around asking locals what their opinions were. He critiqued those opinions, but those opinions still stand.
If you have some examples of better reporting, then go and ahead and share them with us. I bet you don't,
The problem with media today is that uneducated people like you Tams80, can't tell the difference between COMMENTARY (opinions) and reporting FACTS. For your future reference, this was commentary in the masquerade of facts.
I am born in Bhutan and I am soooo happy
land of Spiritual...No Doubt...what u guys thinks...but once u visit Bhutan u will know the truth!!
Love & respect to Bhutan
As a small land locked country dont we even have a right to harness our own environment in friendly manner. I wanna know the true intension behind this video? Is it trying to blame the entire world for the global warming or trying to blame the few dams of bhutan for the cause of it. Need some clarification.
Namgay Tshering western left liberals wants to India and China to stop development. That’s the agenda:)
calm down man
It's pretty clear what's their intention is.
They have a hidden agenda.
I noticed it from the very beginning of this video when he said that China and India are one of the biggest producer of carbon footprint in the world.
But what he didn't show is that US and many western nations tops the same list when it comes to Carbon emission per Capita.
Love from India.❤❤❤
before watching this video i was watching "Farmed Norwegian Salmon World Most Toxic Food" we will see do ABC news will cover that toxic food, and Monsanto adding toxin in fish feed :)
watch that video :)
@Namga Tshering..... not every corner of the world as peaceful as ur country :) especially when western leader interfere...... keep up as the carbon negative country , hopefully more country doing that soon :)
Namgay Tshering so true, this doku tries to traduce the most sustainable Country in the world, just because of some dams, while many other Countrys are doing nothing for the enviroment compared to Bhutan!
good work..love from INDIA
Love this country
Excellent video ABC and Commentary this is education in it self I would love to Visit Bhutan people who care about the environment and the rest of the world can learn from them i hope that they will never lose there Traditions and way of life the future look good for them with the New Dams and Exporting the Electricity hopefully only to Another Great Countrie India Bhutan can only improve their Liveing Standard for all its People and the Government will make sure that this will be the Outcome Big Thank you ABC Finbarr in Ireland
I am for those damms. I think this docu is too negative on this. The damms are a sustainable way to produce energy and income for the small land and in comparision to others its still very natural.
I would like to visit Bhutan one day.
Bhutan is pride of the world
saying we're the happiest doesn't make you one.
But its a start in the right direction dont u think. Our positivity is lost on people.
Google - happiest countries - Norway, Sweden blah blah blah
Bhutan- hold my beer
Excellent job!
i was in Bhutan loved it did it trully is we should all follow bhutan by example most amazing experience had a bath with hot rock from the Himalayan River and we did some camping actually it was clamping it was beautiful we had herbs from the mountains in our water the hotel that we stayed at set us up with clamping along the river an amazing experience traveled though this happiness and beautiful country loved it I came across this footage on UA-cam and just loved it just brought back so many good memories
The most beautiful place, and the most risky place if not taken care. Home of peaceful people, and home of glacier and water as well.
How happy will they be driving BMW's and watching giant plasma televisions.
Stay the way you are now and you will stay Happy Forever.
Bhutan is paying the price of being hardworking, Innocent, intelligent in a rough neighborhood
They are living in heaven
limit internet access, motor, concert and tv cable?
then no paradise...
but if my future kids are problematic, i'll send them there to find their inner peace.
Well please do ur research properly....we have everything....just because we let limited number of tourist come to our country doenst mean we are living in 80s
What a beautiful country! ABC News why shed a light on the opposition of Green renewable energy? i think its better if you use that time to showcase real problem like US government do in contrast to Bhutan green policy and Paris agreement issue...
Benjamin Cui this is a global issue that needs to be covered. global warming affects everyone. US won't be isolated
Benjamin Cui hear hear
Bhutan is a garbage dump. If you like it so much why aren’t you planning to move there?
Chad Hurley I am.
And I love that sweet ending....High Five!!!
