  • This video gives you a quick look at the tools which I carry on-board my Lambretta scooter. With just the tools I have on board, I'd say probably 95% or roadside repairs can be carried out, which often means the difference between getting yourself home/to your destination, and ringing someone for recovery.
    Save yourself time and a LOT of money by carrying these kinds of tools with you, and by having the knowledge and experience to use them correctly!
    Ride safe guys!

      Thanks mate, much appreciated. I'm planning on starting uploading again as soon as I can, still a bit of crappy weather to get through yet though. Hopefully it'll pick up later in the year! Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for that, I am going to help a pall of mine clean up his Serveta Jet 200 so he can sell it, until 5 minutes ago I knew nothing about scooters but I do now thanks to your films, John from sunny Devon UK

      John Patrick No worries bud. I hope your mate's selling the Jet 200 as a 'Jet 200'! I know a lot of folk dress em up as an SX200 to sell but I always wonder "What's wrong with a Jet?" plus I really love the 'Performer' sidepanels (which I think were for the US market but im not 100%). Plus the louvered tool box door. Cool scooter!

    Ayup skeligandrew, I'll be buying a helmet can very soon and will start doing a few motovlogs when the scoot's back on the road. I'm off to look at a Vespa PK on Monday which I'll probably end up buying so there'll be some Vespa restoration vids coming up soon too. Thanks for watching the vids!

    hello, im considering another lambretta, had a few since the 70's and last one i owned was in 1980 and was a li150. currently on a modern yamaha xenter, great sccot but bland. thing is im a bit of a crock these days and not up to much maintainance as im disabled with heart disease and spinal stenosis and i cant remember how unreliable my last one was its been too long ago. if im say doing about a 1000 miles a year max on a lam, what do you reckon?

    • @digger9million
      @digger9million  9 років тому +1

      malfisher You should be able to do that easily with next to no maintenance. Providing there's no unforeseeable events or anything. I did roughly 10,000 miles last year on mine and the only things I really had to change was probably 2 new throttle cables and changed the gear cables and clutch cables a couple of times too, in fact the last time I changed them there wasn't even anything wrong, I just did it as a matter of course. I've had 1 flat tyre in that time too. This all depends on the state the scoot is in when you get it. I'm constantly checking around my scoot and modifying stuff anyway so things tend to be well maintained in my case. As long as you're taking it easy then a thousand miles is nothing, people ride 500+ miles just to get to a rally after all! It probably won't work wonders on the spinal stenosis though to be honest so that's your call, but I'd go for it if I were you!

      ***** thanks for that! i did sort of think a low mileage slow rider like me would be ok . and, it'll be a good one, either i'll spend on a fully restored one, or get my mate whos shit hot to restore one for me. it'll be wierd paying 1000's as my last one cost 12 quid lol!

      @@malfisher £12 😆 remember when it was 70p for a pint of bitter in the pub and can never understand how people today afford a session down the boozer at around £5 a pint 🤪
