Mate. I owe you a pint or 2. My Milano just would not start. Just literally came back in from trying this and I now have a scooter that starts. Cheers mate you’re a star
Just tried this. Ran my scooter dry on ethanol free gas. I knew that the carburetor was fine, as I only run ethanol free gas. It worked great and I was spared a trip to the repair shop. Thank you.
Well, actually it's really helpful because you don't have to call a trailer to take it to the mechanic. It's not the solution to the issue for sure however still migth save some money ;)
For a second I just thought it was him switching the kill switch on and off for click bait, as these bikes have a kill switch next to the egnition switch, but maybe your right.
It looks to me like the fuel filler cap vent is blocked. Stopping air from getting into the tank and creating a vacuum that is stopping fuel from flowing into the carburettor or fuel injection. By blowing he is temporarily clearing the blockage and allowing fuel through. Find the vent and unblock it with a needle or similar.
Hi Mike Thanks for the comment and positive feed back. I'm happy this helped you. I have sorted this problem now, with my scooter, I replaced all my small vacuum pipes, reset the tappet valves and now it starts Fairly easy now Happy Scooting

😂😂😂Yo I can't believe that it worked first try haha. Mine wasn't being used for 2 months and I used a roll from paper towel😂😂😂. Im ctfu...thank u so much for sharing this info. I would never imagine
Cleaning your carburetor also works. Any time you allow your scooter to sit for more than a month without use, the additives in the fuel will gum up and clog your carburetor. The tube trick might work some of the time, but not always.
If you have run your scooter out of gas and it won't start, this will help. It pushes the are out of the fuel line. If you have to do this to start you scooter and haven't ran out of gas, chances are your carburetor needs cleaned.
No it is a vacuüm issue the second air system have false air when hi blow in the pipe by the tank hi give pressure in the gaslines and starts.. Best solution is remove the second airsystem of renew the gas lines incl. Air system.
EVERYBODY! STOP GIVING ADVISE IF YOU DON`T KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT. AND BLOWING IN A PAPER TUBE IS USELESS. I ASSURE YOU, THAT DOES`T START A SCOOTER. THE VACUUM FUEL VALVE IS THE ANSWER. WHEN YOU START YOUR ENGINE, IT CREATES A VACUUM IN THE FUEL VALVE. THIS IN TURN, RELEASES FUEL TO THE CARB, THEREBY STARING THE ENGINE. IF THE FUEL VALVE GOES BAD, HARD STARTING WILL RESULT. NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE CARBURETOR. GOOFS.
I was initially skeptical until I read all the positive comments. I just went out and tried it on my 2007 Vespa 250 GTS, and it started right up within three seconds. Thank you very much!

This happend to me after not turning on my bike for 2 months. Just shake your bike a bit. And use full throttle while u try to turn it on. After 10-20 sec everything was ok. Its just the fuel that needs to reach the burning chamber

for anyone that has these issues try starting without giving it gas, as soon as you see it trying to crank and start give it gas. If that doesn't work then remove the key and use the kickstart without having the bike on to push some fuel in the carb, then try to start these two should turn the bike on.

It sounds perfect there is a valve that depends on the motor running to create vacuum to open the fuel flow. If the scooter hasn't run for a while the gas in the carburetor bowl may have evaporated. I can't wait to use this later in the spring instead of half a can of starter fluid. Same thing every spring screwing around with the same problem.
RhodieSparky, besser wäre es, den Benzinhahn (Unterdruck-gesteuert!) zu ersetzen!
