Thanks so much for the video it was very good
Excellent video. If I were younger I would not hesitate to enter a school like this. 💗
Awesome video!! Makes me want to go to school there lol.
Welcome Kari
Nice job Kari
It would be cool to have a tour of the facilities, especially the heads in the showcase. I think they were post mortem facial positions, not sure.
The conversations and interviews were really good and beneficial for someone wanting college information.
Yes you should go!
My daughter plans on attending after she gets her pre mortuary science associates at UC Blue Ash.
Dean you enjoy
Did you enjoy your visit?
Very much!
The Dean seems to be such a good and compassionate person
Ive taken the tour. Would have been there the same year! I had to move due to the military though. 😔
And I need to add how do you look younger now than you did then.
I didn't know you went there. I grew up near that school.
Awesome!!
Can u visit udc cc mortuary science program?
If they ask me to come
@@KaritheMortician I saw the one on pims it doesn't look to bad. I'm considering one of the two
Do you have a Bachelors Degree Program?
Yes they do
I'm starying school soon to get my credits to go here! It's my dream to become a mortician
Kari, is there a difference between a coffin and a casket?
This may not be the right place to ask, but I’ve been wondering.
Last, would you consider teaching at some point in your career?
Thank you.
Yes check out my two minute on coffin vs. casket
Yes I would love to teach
Good golly Miss Molly; Kari's better looking now then twenty years ago. I wonder what her secret is?
Thank you for those VERY kind words. I appreciate it.
Perhaps you could find a family that would be ok with you filming the process in exchange for a discount there are many people that feel your work is honoring the deceased im well aware of privacy and "trade secrets" but those could be blurred and edits could remove techniques used you might consider donating a funeral to a family who is unable to pay or even do something very honorable for a person who has no family left/unclaimed remains..
states typically handle these in very unique basic ways
I think that people would find honor in educating people even if its not donating to "science"
but it would be very educational to see the work involved from start to finish
If your not good at video editing to blur, edit you could ask your subscribers
there is a documentary on cremation/unclaimed remains
I visited funeral homes with my mother a lot as a child (florist) I remember when this kind of info was very taboo I cant imagine the tragic aftermaths of non typical death..
but the amazing abilities funeral directors can do is pure art
from what ive been told fire/burn victims are the hardest
ive always wondered how different tragic/violent ends/decomp/executed are handled from my knowledge for uncommon circumstances that a person isn't viewable due to serve trauma/decomp/burn victims they are placed in a bag and placed in the casket for burial due to smell or severe leaky trauma
i have also heard an empty casket is used while the actual remains are sent to cremation
personally I'm impressed by the people who can handle remains under these unique conditions
I have been to shy to ask to see remains or ask questions about "how bad is/was the remains"
call it morbid curiosity I have seen crime scene photos and other horrific after math I was taught asking those questions was hurtful to the family or considered weird
so i never asked the reason
I ask is because I often do find a grave memorials for people who passed from "uncommon/unnatural circumstances" I often talk to family years after the tragedy
but while getting the obituary or pictures or requesting a headstone photo for the memorial (i like getting the family out to visit their loved one) they often will take great photos or a whole butch but the curiosity nags to ask "how bad was the remains" or asking about method of suicide feeling that its going to stir bad memories or distress for the family
I find all these videos absolutely fascinating and informative. I wish - just once - I would hear the name “Jesus” because if the body that goes into the coffin or the crematory didn’t accept Jesus as their Personal Lord and Savior before they died - it won’t matter what kind of funeral they had. Please People - tell everyone about Jesus before they leave this Earth. Read the 3rd. Chapter of the Book of John - especially verse 3. Jesus Himself tells Nicodemus that a man MUST BE BORN AGAIN or he won’t enter the Kingdom of God when he dies. His sins MUST be Forgiven. People - this is MORE IMPORTANT than your next breath.. Don’t take my word for it - Read it for yourself. I hope to see all of you in Heaven.
We are all equal.
Hard Stop.
