This set was my first purchase for BA. Such great value and scope to play actoss multiple theatres. Love the customisation options warlord provide in their kits.
Nice! It's great fun deciding which weapons to kit them out with.
@@tabletopskirmishgames definitely nice to have a selection of tools to adjust to different opponents. I'm currently building a Finland force, much like British Commandos they have very few options but should be a punchy force based on their special rules.

This is a great box kit! Only drawback is the metal bits tossed in. Would prefer the variety and kitbashing potential of all plastic.
Great review. It is a shame there is no option to have an early-war tank to do 1941 games. I must admit I buy 3D printed vehicles - no assembley needed and much cheaper.
Really enjoying these Bolt Action reviews and it’s definitely something I can see myself getting into. So many great sets to choose from too.

Good ol' Vas, packing away like a trooper. I've been pondering Bolt Action or Flames of War for a while, now. The pricing is pretty good: I've seen the British army starter set down to £76, and tanks can be picked up for under £20. That feels far fairer than a certain other premier miniatures company, landing it in the range of pocket money rather than it being Birthday/Christmas present range.
P.S Out of curiosity, will you be attempting to pin the MG team together? I've not touched metal minis since the 90s because of their ability to fall apart back into their component parts (No internet access back then, and no tutorials on how to treat metal minis).
I didn't think to pin it. I've built a similar team for the British Commandos and just used super glue. That seemed strong enough to hold it. I like to use 'Loctite Super Glue Power Gel'.

Thanks for the great video. I'm still building Gentlemen's War and am thinking about expanding one of the armies with a starter box. Do you happen to know if one of the army books is needed? Say I go 8th Army, do I need to get the Armies of Great Britain book? Once again, thanks for the great videos.
You can get by with the core rule book and that’s all I’m using for these to get them built. I am looking to get the army books, though as they have a lot more info and after seeing the campaign books I think it would be nice to add to the collection. If you are thinking of focusing on one army then I think the army book would be worth it.

How do they handle anti-tank weapons like Panzerfausts? Are the squads just assumed to have an anti-armour value or do you specifically equip certain models?
For the infantry squad you can give up to 4 men a Panzerfaust for 5 points each. These are in addition to other weapons. I like to build the models WYSIWYG but if you don't you would still have to assign specific models the Panzerfaust.
