I bought a Forte in August. I was told about your videos.. Yeah! Learning so much. Your videos are the best I've watch regarding longarms. I feel more confident with my Forte "named Lucy". Thank you for being so entertaining, the useful tips while teaching my about "Lucy. Terry
Wow. Woke up to this video and my morning is already very blessed. I liked the way you explained every part and aspect of the design. I love it when pros like you play with my designs. I am excited to make more :)
Hi Adam! Another great video, I love to see how you work with pro-stitcher, Just now to find the time, have so many customer quilts! Not complaining! Thank you again!
I have a different system, but this is a great video on how this process works! I am also a “secure and cut” quilter! :P No thread burying for me! Enjoyed watching this very much!!
Using the drag and drop buttons, once you have a design selected, tap drag (it turns green and says drop) then move the head of your machine to move the design. Once you have it placed where you want it, select drop (it turns back to drag). Just have to be careful that you make sure and hit drop or you will move your design around with you.
@@adamsewfun. thank you for responding I never got to an email yesterday was to busy making countless apple pies 🙄. I am pretty new and I understand the basic use of drag and drop but am just not wrapping my head around this use of it. I have a big flower panel that may just end of being a practice piece just so I can try this method out. Thank you very much for taking the time to respond. I know you are super busy! ❤️
@@traceybrungard7735 mmmmm apple pie. I’m glad I found your comment again LOL. If it’s a Dream Big Panel, I have some videos stitching those too. One series is free motion, the other is with Pro-Stitcher (with a purchased design). There is one how to baste the panel before you start stitching too. Videos for everything. I use drag/drop all the time when I’m using PS because I can get more accurate movements than trying to use my finger to move things.
@@adamsewfun. Yes i did... great job... Love watching your videos. You are a very good teacher... keep it up. My Tablet for ProStitcher and all of it's cables are in the shop we are on week 4 I'm going crazy so great time to clean the quilt room, the batting shed and watching quilting videos. I have the Dream Big and can't wait to do that plus the Holiday panel too!!! Because of you!! And, i've been computerized quilting for 15 years + Keep the videos going you make it so easy for new comers. I pass your videos on..
Will this design, as well as the one for the regular Dream Big flower work on a PSL on a smaller machine, such as the Simply 16? If so... it's worth the investment for me!
Adam, have you decided to stitch between each of the petals? and gee i wish you would number all of your videos... had a hard time finding the last one...
I decided to leave this one with no stitching around the petals and let the designs speak for themselves. Also, the videos are number with the second video being Part 2 and the third being Part 3.
I wanted to try them out and taught at a shop that used them snd everyone there loved them. Just like all loading systems, each has its pros/cons. I like how flat zippers lay and that I can take things on and off easily without having to have another set of leaders. Currently I have a few quilts rolled in leaders that I was going to quilt but ran out of time before a different project went on the frame.
Doris, I would love to see it. Can you email me a photo to Adamsewfun@gmail.com I have wanted to do something with glow in the dark thread. I didn’t think about doing it on a dream big.
@@adamsewfun. oh ok - I switched to Clear View and don't know how to switch back. Also - can you baste the quilt to the zipper instead of pinning it before attaching to your leader? I am loving these video's :) - I have to do the Dream Big first so I don't mess up the Poinsetta!
I have basted right to my leaders before and found I was spending more time trying to keep it straight than if I just pinned it on. I also am still unboxing and don’t really have an area clean enough to stitch something that big. I had issues just trying to piece a strip of fabric for the backing.
@@adamsewfun. Good reply, i almost always use the selvage edge to sew on. I fold the backing in half lengthwise, put a pin in each end (top, bottom) then hold the backing up and match the pins. if one is off i adjust until the backing falls even without any ripples. Using a long basting stitch i sew from the pin out on each side. I can't pin because i always stick myself and i bleed a lot. Love you video and makes me want to buy the new panel. Can't wait for the 2nd half.
Thanks for bringing us along in your process! Very impressive set of files and you make using them look easy!
Just wait until video 3! I learned something new yesterday.
A very cool and interesting chat to watch and listen to while I hand quilt! Thank you for posting this video!

Waiting on backing fabric but everything else will be here next week - and three Dream Big panels to stitch, yummy stuff, thanks!
You are going to have so much fun.

Hi Adam, You explained it so well. Loved every bit of it. Thank you so much!
Using the thread you recommended but have problems with tension. Never had problem before, have been able to figure it out.
What's happening? Breaking or shredding? It's thin, so you need a nice light tension.
Absolute stunner! Thanks for the video.
Just wait until it done!
Sooo helpful to see all this detail. Thank you for showing us the whole process!
Thank you for such an informative video! I learned so much. That panel is going to be beautiful.

When I teach I'm always telling people I love my life too much to bury threads...not that there is anything wrong with it.
So lost on how you are doing the drag and drop deal with the designs.

What size needle with Micro Quilter? Is Micro Quilter a Superior Thread? Love love this. Thanks for sharing and showing us!
I believe I was using a 14 but I looked at my Superior Guide to see what I should be using. You are correct, it is a Superior Thread.

What type of frame ? I have a qunique 15 r and I was wondering ? So fun to watch ❤️
I have the Handi Quilter Gallery2 frame. All of the HQ machines come on their frames. I'm sorry, but I really don't know the other brands.
Love my zipper leaders
What made you switch from red snappers to zippers? I am new to longarm quilting and I use red snappers. Just wondering why. Thanks

Why the new studio? Did you move? Love the big window, lots of natural light!
Yeah, we moved from The Cleveland area to the Palm Springs CA area in June. We just had all our belongings delivered Mid September.
Where can you purchase the Super leader that you mentioned?
Contact your retailer, they should be able to get you one.
I did the black dream big thee center is black light and I used glow in the dark thread. Not sure how to send you the picture.

Are you in clearview mode?
I'm not. I basted down the whole quilt before I started so I can roll back and forth, I rarely use clear view.
