Sticheras of the Palm Sunday litiya in the 1st tone

Eastern Orthodox Christian hymn for the Vespers of the Palm Sunday. Chanted in English by nuns from the Monastery of the Transfiguration in Ellwood City, PA.
Tone 1:
The Holy Spirit taught the Apostles to speak in many strange languages.
He also inspired the innocent Hebrew children to sing:
“Hosanna in the highest!
Blessed is He that comes, the King of Israel!”
The Word of God Who has no beginning:
the Father’s Coeternal Son,
today comes to the city of Jerusalem,
enthroned on a dumb beast, the foal of an ass.
The Cherubim are afraid to gaze upon Him,
yet the children honor Him with palms and branches.
The Spirit inspires their song of praise:
“Hosanna in the highest!
Hosanna to David’s Son,
Who has come to save mankind from error!”
Najświętszy Duch, który apostołów nauczył mówić obcymi językami,
nakazuje niewinnym dzieciom hebrajskim wołać:
Hosanna na wysokościach!
Błogosławiony, który idzie, Król Izraela!
Współniemający początku
i zawsze współistotny Syn i Słowo Ojca,
siedząc na nierozumnym źrebięciu oślicy,
przyszedł dzisiaj do miasta Jerozolimy.
Tego, na którego z bojaźnią nie mogą patrzeć cherubini,
dzieci wysławiają z palmami i gałązkami,
chwałę tajemniczo wyśpiewując:
Hosanna na wysokościach!
Hosanna Synowi Dawidowemu,
Który przyszedł wybawić z oszustwa cały nasz rodzaj!
