    Finally starting to cut the rear of the car up for the high radius. Made some good progress in today's video, although it was terrifying cutting up the rear end lmao!

    You make me want to attempt flares I love the wide look

    Small technical point, but I think this is just considered radius. High radius would involve the body drop or you'd be laying frame, especially when you consider the Celsiors, Qs, etc in J-land have the wells removed to lay frame.... I still give you credit for cutting up the car especially when it's so clean to begin with. Mine hurt when I did it too but I love that I did and would never go back now. I went with Ulterior as well and they are top-notch for service and reliability. Can't wait to see more progress on this thing. Would also recommend laying some weld-through primer or rattle can down over the bare flare until it's time for finish welding. Mine looked like half of what yours did in the matter of 2-3 weeks and it is summer here in WA (as you know haha). Nice job!

      Yeah fair point, I guess I'm just calling it "high radius" because it's like 3" higher than stock. But comparatively it's not even close to how high I've seen some cars in Japan! Mine is very toned down haha! But thank you dude!

      @@LEPAutomotive I am watching your other most recent vid now. Agree and I see what you are saying. I assume you'll be cutting/bending the door. I had to cut mine. I also went through 3 pairs fo tires to finally arrive at the right size...this was after rebuilding my rims as well. I'm glad you're posting vids, I wish I had the patience to do the same.

    Man if my TL wasn’t back to stock I’d so attempt a high radius flare like that. I hate when cars tuck a lot in the back like that and the arches don’t line up. I mean on some it looks good but either way really looking forward to seeing more progress on the rear!

    just run a smaller tire in the rear bro. that camber looks good on the rear, i wouldnt go more. just get a smaller tire and make it clear

    • @LEPAutomotive
      @LEPAutomotive  4 роки тому +1

      For sure, but 30 side walls with camber is just asking for cracked barrels! I'll do some testing without a tire and make it work, then address the tire issue when I get to it!

      @@LEPAutomotive Not sidewall. i meant like go from that 275 to a 265, or 255 like you said.. i run 245/35 on 11.5 all day never had any issues. Definitely do not touch 30 sidewalls tho !

    I had a 235s on my 11.5’s but I didn’t like it cause it was too much of a stretch but I bumped it up to 255/35s and the stretch is perfect, I’m sure you can run a 255 or 265 and it would be perfect !

    • @LEPAutomotive
      @LEPAutomotive  4 роки тому +1

      Yeah 255/35 is exactly what I ran on the 11.5, so that's why I figured a 265 on the 12!

  • @Azral1
    @Azral1 4 роки тому

    265/35's would prpbably get you just the right fitment.

      I'm gonna dismount the tires and work on it for the time being I think!

    Why not shorten or extend your control arms? Cheaper and just as safe if done properly (never looked at ls400 control arms so don’t bash me plz lol)

    • @LEPAutomotive
      @LEPAutomotive  4 роки тому

      The lower control arms I run are completely adjustable. I could shorten the uppers sure, but I want adjustability. Cutting and welding means it's fixed in place.

    • @michaelschopshop8738

      LEP Automotive that makes sense. Just figured I’d Throw that out there instead of having to spend a shit ton of money on control arms

  • @mrsir9805
    @mrsir9805 4 роки тому

    dont go 255. I had em on my vienas 12". To much stretch for driving. 265 will be money tho

    • @LEPAutomotive
      @LEPAutomotive  4 роки тому

      I'm actually planning 265/30, supposedly it's the exact same profile height as 225/35 (which is the plan for the front.

    • @mrsir9805
      @mrsir9805 4 роки тому

      @@LEPAutomotive sounds correct. had 225 35 on the 10s up front.
