They have disappointed me so often, these shelters. I guess they really are "Temporary." LOL I usually get one good year and a few really bad years out of them. They're great if you really don't want to keep anything dry (and if you like something flapping in the wind out in the yard!) Hi Mike, good repair job done, you're lucky to still have the shelter. The one I had got taken out in a storm last year bent the pipes a ripped the cover
How's she goin'? Before Fiona blew though and took out all our trees, the shelter was well protected in this spot. But now, with no trees left, it's wide open to the elements and you know how well these shelters stand up to the elements eh!! I hope I can get the winter out of this one. Take 'er easy!!
Hi Mike .Happy New year to you and Nannie. On the temporary shelter side ,i went through 3 and spent around $1500 , before i had enough. Mike, I’ve had a few of those ShelterLogic Sheds over the years….3 years, maybe 5 is the most I ever got from the original covering. I’m actually looking for a few gently used framings to build a Greenhouse!
How's she goin'? Before Hurricane Fiona took down all our trees I had one of these shelters in this spot for over 5 years. The trees protected it from the wind and sun. But that's not the case now and they only last about 2 to 3 years at most! Thanks for commenting. I hope you and Mrs Betty had a nice Christmas and New Years! Take 'er easy!!
Happy New Year Mike and Nan! Looks like a beautiful day for sure! Nice fix on the shelter door in case the blowing snow comes one day. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Mike.
How's she goin'? Thanks Mike. Yes when the snow starts to blow at least this door will keep some of it out. The rest of the shelter however may not work out so well! LOL I hope it lasts till the spring. Take 'er easy and Happy New Year to you folks too!!
It didnt' take much to pull the front door off once you got the ropes loose, eh? I have a 10'x20' carport that too was covered by a tarp and the elements eventually made the sides rip easily. Your replacement door did pretty nicely. Well, I think you licked that project, Mike. Nicely done. It's getting a bit cold down here now. Ha, we'll see how badly it makes my body react. Be well my friend. Don 👍🏽🤠 01/07/25

Good job buddy the sun does a number on those shelters for sure I have a couple as well a small one 10x8 and a larger one 10x20 that I keep one of the tractors in i am sheltered from the wind pretty good but the canvas doesn’t last I guess you get what you pay for anyway I works for now take care bud nice looking day there have a great week
How's she goin'? Thanks for watching Tom!! These shelters sure don't like the sun eh. They are almost not worth buying anymore. I hope I can get the winter out of this shelter!! Have a great week and take 'er easy!!
Those shelter tarps don't last as long as we hoped they would. We are buying large thick tarps and going over top like you had to. Still works good. Take care Mike. Stevo
How's she goin'? I think the heavy duty tarp over the top is the only way to make these shelters last. They sure aren't like they used to be. Thanks for the visit. Take 'er easy!
You've done well here Mike,... lucky that your Son didn't throw away that door hey? I wonder, have you thought of sometime, building a 'lean to' storage space on your workshop building? I was thinking that that 'tarp shelter' won't last through many more storms, and the lean to type might be more or less permanent.
How's she goin'? Yes sir I was lucky that Derek had this 'spare' door. I hope it and the shelter last the winter. I already have 2 lean tos built onto the shop Reg. There is no more room for expansion!! LOL I'd like to build another building altogether for the tractor and the attachments, but I doubt that will happen. Thanks for the idea though. Take 'er easy!!

Be well my friend. Don 👍🏽🤠 01/07/25
How's she goin'? Don I hope the cold doesn't affect you too much. The last few years for me I have noticed I mind the cold more too!! This door should last a couple of years more, but I'm thinking the shelter itself will be lucky to get through the winter! It's in rough shape buddy!! Thanks for watching. Take 'er easy!
@@GrampiesWorkshop I wish I could come to The Camp there and help build one for and with you. I'd almost bet that Dave ( RCAF Polar Express) would give a hand too,...now that's be a good time,.. how much actual work would get done, now that's a different story hey? 😅
@@regsparkes6507 I'll tell ya Reg, if that would happen I would happily supply the beer! LOL
@@GrampiesWorkshop I don't know what Dave could or would 'handle' in that, but it'd be a good time I'm pretty sure.
@@regsparkes6507 I bet there would be yellow and black paint involved somewhere!!!
Mike! Mike! I got a Trail Camera for Christmas and guess what? A company is sending me another one for FREE! Look out Wildlife….I hope I’ll get sum footage of the allusive Wild Bologna.
How's she goin'? That's great Garry! I hope you get a good pic of the Wild Baloney!! Remember, they are hard to find and very elusive so good luck!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
That will sort it Sir
How's she goin'? Thanks Steve. It was a battle to get the door in place . The rest of the shelter is in pretty bad shape but I hope it lasts till the spring. Thanks for commenting. Take 'er easy!!
Sorry Mike,
I got pulled away but I’m back now!
Hey there Gary!! Thanks for coming back buddy! Take care!!
I hate temporary-yet everything seems to have temporary woven in to it.
How's she goin'? You ain't lying. And these shelters sure have a lot of 'temporary' woven into them!! I hope I can get the rest of the winter out of this one. Take 'er easy!!
those little fabric shelters are sure nothing to write home about..
How's she goin'? Before Hurricane Fiona went through I had a shelter in this spot. It was protected from the wind, rain and sun by the trees. But now it's wide open to the weather and these shelters don't handle that very well. It almost makes getting one a waste of time and money. Thanks for commenting. Take 'er easy!!
