I know the first KFC restaurant in Hangzhou was opened in 1993 and it was near Wulin Square. It closed several years ago. I'm glad to hear that our university has a KFC now. The subway restaurant there was not so good as the ones outside the campus... and it is a little bit more expensive than the ones outside(my opinion). I suppose Chinese loved KFC for years. When I was young I was always excited for going to Hangzhou because I could have KFC near West Lake. Students would be so happy if they have a KFC in the campus as well... I remember I was a little bit jealous when one of my friends told me that there's one KFC in his campus and I still need to walk a long way to get KFC. So sad I graduated earlier...
Don’t be sad. The campus KFC often runs out of food quickly. Especially on Thursday. 🙄

Glad they can get their KFC on on the campus. It was a big deal when we got Subway on our compound for a while in Saudi. My sister loves KFC. I go there every now and then for some biscuits and corn, but they upset me when they stopped selling green beans. Can't remember the last time I had chicken; it's been a few years. When I was eating it it was great as we had some Indian cooks on the compound and man could they cook some delicious spicy chicken curry.. If that was in front of me right now, I think I'd have a taste.
Subway was a big deal when it opened on campus at first… but the interest slowly died down. I’m not sure why. Maybe too expensive for the students. 🤷🏾♂️
@@Jamaicafunk It eventually left our compound. Not sure why either though being in Saudi I know people could afford it but why? The company offered 3 square meals a day for free.
Everything looks beautiful there. I'm in kOrea now, so cold. I would like to go back to China in the future. Are lockdowns still happening?
No lockdowns. Zero covid policy is lifted… Now they’re all getting covid.
