Thank you. I had a shop tour video years ago but deleted it as over half the comments were rude and insulting and I got tired of dealing with the trolls and haters. Over a decade ago, Popular Woodworking had to remove a video of a nice shop for the same reason and one of my friends also experienced this several years ago when another UA-camr (who I shall not name) did a video in his shop with pretty much the same results. That was just a mistake that I will never repeat even though it is likely most people would enjoy one. Steve
Haters gunna hate lol….I have a profile 45 shipping to me next week and have learned a ton from your shaper videos and may have to hit you up for some help when my machine arrives
@@extremewoodworker I can understand that sentiment Steve. Some people can’t stand when others have nice tools, etc. My suggestion would be to post a shop tour and turn the comments off. Ron
Thank you Ron. For Kumiko video suggestions I would look at Wood Art Studio and Mike Farrington for content. I figured out a jig for the sliding table saw but have concluded a standard cabinet saw is much better suited for Kumiko. Wood Art Studio has a video using the Kapex to make Kumiko so I may need to try that as I do not have any room for another machine. Steve
Hi Steve, thanks for sharing this very practical fixture for the Kapex. I am very intrigued by the design of your Kapex mobile station. It looks like there are mounting points for adding extensions to support long pieces. Can you share the design of your mobile station? I wish to incorporate something similar in the mobile station for my Blum minipress.
Hi Carl. The mobile cart was built years ago from a sketch so no plans per se. The width of the mobile station was determined by the width of a double bank of Festool Sys-AZ drawers. In addition to the Sys-AZ drawers, there is a shop made drawer and a shelf for storage of blades, etc. The back also has several narrow shelves that I use for plastic cookie jars to store things like biscuits, hinges, etc. The bed height matches the height of the MFT which I recently sold. There are mounting brackets on the sides to attach Aigner extension tables. The Kapex can be readily removed for use on a separate stand for jobsite use. Hope this helps. Steve
@@extremewoodworker Hi Steve. Thanks for the detail. I have an Aigner extension table that I use for the bandsaw. I'll do some searching to see what I can use as an Aigner alternative now that Aigner is out of business.
@@extremewoodworker They were sold in 2021 after the owner, Mr Aigner passed away. Simantech and Martin USA still sell their products. Several items were discontinued such as the thickness stop and pressure jaws.
Hi Steve, that's a nice looking jig. My Kapex stock blade is nice, but I'd like to get something with some more teeth. Cutting primarily plywood, BB or similar sanded/prefinished. What blades would you recommend? Tenryu seems to get mentioned quite a bit.
Thank you. The blade in use in this video is the Tenryu MP-26080AB and is an 80 tooth blade. It does a nice job. Festool also makes an 80 tooth blade but I haven't done any performance comparisons. Steve
Thank you Steve. Great design, solved another jig problem.
Hi Barry. Glad to be of some help. Steve
Cracking Jig Steve, brilliant idea using the T groove in the crown ext. 👍
Thank you. Steve
This is awesome! Great Job!
Incredibly awesome, dear friend. Wow! I "caint"🧐 wait, to make it! For it's great. Thank you for sharing your talents with us. ❤it.
Thank you Pat. It is always good to hear from you. Take care my friend. Steve

Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you GK. Steve
Very nice jig Steve. Now I will have to see if you or someone else I follow has Kumiko video to watch. 😊
