Agreed, but I think this song is rather critcizing the people that just blindly idolize the rich and famous and care more about celebreties than about themselves.
This album will forever remain incredible. Made me fall head over heels for IPS. I even did some marketing work for them at warped tour Atlanta! I cannot remember the year sorry lol. I think I got a picture with the band even though it's lost in all my moves but they were INCREDIBLE live and very nice in person. I wish I wouldn't had been so nervous. Will always comeback to this song and album. Heart of Fire was my shit.
I saw them live in '11 with Pendulum but they were mostly playing their "newer stuff" like American Trash, which is okay, but this entire album is elite to me. Still after so long. Great shit.
Both videos show the degradation of the media and consumer pretty well. The first is a little more disturbing and confrontational, the second is more of a mocking hyperbole.

This video is depressing on many levels, but to be quick: 1) That it had to even be made(the original video was deemed "inappropriate" by some outlets and, thus, not played), 2) The message of the song is totally lost with the dull on-screen "action", and finally, 3) The band and the censorship of the song just come off as so cliche'(which is a crime in an of itself). Again, depressing...(just stick with the original)
The fact that the second video is so censored in comparison is like a meta representation of the media they criticise in the song. Especially how they criticised it in the original video.

Not saying the artists necessarily _like_ Trump, but the song is clearly demonstrating the lies media will tell you so they can control you. My perfect type of song. Tell me, how much of the media was poking at Hillary, hoping she would lose? Comparatively, almost none. Hillary was a proven liar, so this song fits her persona perfectly. I'm not specifically for Trump, but the way the media portrays him is insane. Dude can't even eat breakfast without someone finding a way to mock him for it.
