No. It's an astounding song. It will still be astounding song in 100 years' time. But it has limited popular appeal...because it's a protest song. Hold it to your heart.

How so is it ahead of it's time? As if the media landscape hasn't always been a corporate sellout nightmare? Do you think the stars of the past were any more "real" than the ones of today? The entertainment industry has always been using and abusing people, manipulating audiences, creating and controlling an ideal image which is unattainable. There's a reason Marilyn Monroe killed herself. Hollywood leaves people feeling like hollow shells of themselves. It is and has always been a dark, depraved and cutthroat world. They're selling lies and delusions because there will always be an audience for that as long as they keep the masses sufficiently miserable. They want us to think the stars have it all, but really they're just meat puppets who're being packaged and sold as something they're not, inside they're just as empty and lost as the rest of us.
Uh not really, plenty of industrial bands were creating music exactly like this (if not better) for years before this: Orgy, Flesh Field, Battery Cage, Mindless Self Indulgence, etc.
'What's that song?' No other track on my personal playlist gets the same visceral reaction, regardless of the listener's age or sex. In 2023, 'Don't Stop' is still THAT SONG, the one that's more goddamn prophetic now than when it first came out. Nothing can match its pristine rage. It belongs to its creators; it belongs to all of us.
Something I find interesting is how it drops all subtlety and goes the opposite direction. It plays up the main themes so bluntly as to almost overdo it. Instead of insinuating the corruption below the surface it goes all the way to show the grotesquery on the face value. Essentially going so far to demonise it, the thing being that while it is a demented caricature, it’s a scathingly accurate one.
Saw them at the Barfly in Glasgow back in 2008. They played with bright lights behind them so they were just silhouettes for most of the gig. Guitarist crowd surfed when they finished this song to end their set, incredible night.
The guy in the red suit in the video is Troy Hinson. The band's drummer, Jared Piccone (who appears from 0:33 and makes an appearance in the video again from 3:09 onwards), teamed up with Hinson in 2015 to form the DJ duo known as Black Caviar. If the name rings a bell, it's because these guys produced and composed much of the soundtrack to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, with their best-known track on the film's soundtrack being What's Up Danger, alongside rapper Blackway.
Funny how a underground music group with only a few thousand dollars can make a music video 10x better and more intelligent then the mainstream people who get millions.
I like this a lot better than the other video, because while that other video has some interesting visuals, this video is much more an extension of the song itself.

Their disturbing messaging in their videos was spot on and it’s more relevant today then ever with all the shit that 2020 has brought both political and demonstration wise.
First heard this on Steve's Untitled Rock Show. It was my favorite thing to watch and introduced me to quite a few rock bands. I remember listening to this for the first time on that show when the song was just released, and I immediately went out and bought the album. I spent lots of mornings and afternoons as a thirteen year old listening to this album on the bus. It was definitely one of my favorites.

This is one of the weirdest music videos I've ever seen but it's one of my favorite songs. I don't quite know what it is but something has just hooked me on this song
I've literally just spent 3 hours trying to think of what this song was called and by who and I'm so damn happy I remember. Its going straight to the top of my Spotify and is now my hyperfixation song
I found this song on youtube when it first went on and I forgot about it till now. I actually couldn't remember ANY of the words and I was freaking out for the last 2-3 hours. GREAT SONG!
Don't get me wrong, i still love this song. but the only memories i have of listening to it are rather embarrassing ones of my past, that's all. I personally love the lyrics and the music video production and direction is awesome too.
I managed to see them like 8 years ago when they came to my country and it was one of the best gigs I’ve ever been too. Gutted they’re not making music anymore 😭
I'm forever thankful to 3oh!3 for featuring this band as their opening gig for the tour they did through Europe. Immediately checked them out after the concert and I was an instant fan. This was around the time they've released the Never Be Content EP. I remember American Trash being a total banger rocking the whole crowd. Sadly they indefinitely paused the band right afterward. But the funny thing is: While I've definitely grown out of the music 3oh!3 made, I still listen to Innerpartysystem from time to time. Their music just doesn't seem to get old. Neither in genre nor in meaning.
i love this music video (and the song). music videos these days are just the bands prancing around and singing. this tells a story and is more intelligent than most others.
Man I’m so hyped up. Found my cds a bit ago. All scratched up, naturally, so excited their on UA-cam... I’ve seen this band twice in New Orleans. Bummed y’all broke up.

Reminding people in 2020 that this was years ahead of its time.
In my case, I finally caught up with it.

It’s time for Innerpartysystem to come back. Just an objective fact.
The world as it is.
Do not deserve this kind of talent.
So underrated it hurts.

The trash typically buries the gold.
Digging for the gold is typically rewarding.

I get more of a reaction to Transmission and Die Tonight Live Forever. None of my friends listen to the lyrical content of most things I play them 🤣🤣
This has to be the one time I liked that vevo blocks explicit language. It worked so well for this video.
It really did
I think it might have actually just been censored to begin with, to go along with the subject of the video.
***** Nope
OriginalPai yes it is. The album version is uncensored but the video wasn't released in an explicit form because of the content of the video.

The way the lead singer and back up vocals collaborate at the "dear future, I bought you.." lyrics gives me chills. Its amazing.
I think it's just the lead vocalist and a chorus effect added during production. Pro Tools has an app in box that can do that.

Omg me too and I listened to it nonstop when it came out.
Thank you DJ Cummerbund for introducing me to this banger that I missed when I was younger
I had forgotten about this song for years until I saw Cummerbunds video and did the whole Leo Dicaprio pointing at the screen thing.
Whoever edited this video... damn good job.
And I don't mean edited as in censored, I mean cuts and effects and shit.
Hating4AM my thoughts exactly
I like the part at 3:12 where his head turns in sync with the news anchor and the drum beat
I like 3:42 where bass guitar and a dollar bill sync
I feel like this song just gets more and more relevant as time goes by.
Six years later and still one of the best music videos I have ever seen.
Even at 12 years is still dope
Oh straight facts bro
still convinced this would have been one of the world's biggest bands.
Black Tractor. if only they made more than two good songs
This song speaks to me. We worship false idols.
@Zardonic Sheep
Worshiping anything is not good cos you can't be objective and critical about it. Be supportive but think with you heads, people!
@Zardonic Muhammad is an idol too. Jesus Christ died for you and for us all to free us from sin; or to put it another way, these earthly entrapments
Coming back for more in 2023. What a banger.
