Very surprising. Mechanics, hospital workers etc. have a laundry service. I assumed you've have a few hours of training on how to do laundry & ironing up to Navy standards, then focus on other stuff.

In 1965 thats all we did is laundry by hand we could have been doing something else we frose our arss off they did not care alot of us dided in Nam for nothing we died hope you like your Navy adventure
RCPO, AROC, Yeoman are most likely to be promoted followed by MA, EPO, and Port/Starboard watch. After that the odds get lower and lower and you're pretty lucky to get selected for promotion.

Not really, we just learned how to do it all through trail and error.
