Awesome! To have grown the gourds yourself, cleaned and sanded, painted and stained them all yourself..wow! I really like how the stain gives them a very classy soft muted tone...should look stunning with some mini-petunias or other pretty flowering plant! 🤩
this is so cool! I grew up in Bulgaria and i remember that at my great grandmother's house in the rural she used these as a water ladle in the outside summer kitchen. it's so awesome that you are making them into pots! they are so lovely!!
thank you for the very useful tip on preserving seeds in the freezer.such a neat DIY, you made it look very easy, very unique and they turned out to be a very beautiful decor/planters.
wow! youve got the art in you Miss Lady. did i understand you to say it takes a year to dry them after harvesting? I have my very first bunch of 9 nearing the end of thier "vined life" thanks, and awesome video. love your artsy fartsiness.
Hello I would like to know if you can dry the skin after removing the flesh? Does this work for melons? I would like to capture the beautiful patterns of the melons and make a few bowls
Melon shells would rot because of their water content. These gourds are a "hard shell" variety, this means that their shells will dry and almost have a wood-like density and texture. I hope this helps!
Amazing... Lovely craft work. May I know how long does it takes to dry? Is it roughly an year or so? Are these supposed to be kept in a dry and cold place or warm n dry area? TIA.

Thank you! They don't take a year to dry, but it probably took me that long as I tend to start a lot of projects at the same time 😎

What would you take in trade for some gourd seeds?
I’ll send you some. I just need your address. I’ve got loads!
Do these hold hold up good with just the acrylic sealer? when watering your gourds? Love the idea.

Thanks MFN Productions! I look forward to seeing more of your videos!
Life span of pot plz....
It depends how much sealant you use. And I would recommend using them as cache pots.
