I stayed in Copthorne Airport Hotel during my recent transit at DXB for over 9 hours. This free transit hotel was provided by Emirates through Dubai Connect Services, which including a free airport transfer, hotel room and meals. Emirates provide free hotel to Economy Class passengers with certain fare types who have a minimum transit of 8 hours. Economy Class Passengers are given rooms in Copthorne Airport Hotel or equivalent. This hotel is very close to DXB and is a good place to refresh and rest in between flights. Hey once you land in dubai how long does it take from clearance to checks and actually arriving at the hotel? I also have canadian passport so i can grt visa on arrival ko need to apply online. I am planning on visiting some placs. My flight lands at 6:30am and want to be near downtown dubai at 11am is this reasonable time?
I think it depends on the time you arrive at DXB. I think it took me around one hour from arriving at the gate to the hotel room.

Thanks for watching. Dubai Connect Services depend on the length of your transit time (8 to 26 hours if the earlier connection is not available). The eligibility depends on the fares you paid, which means cheaper or heavily discounted fares may not be entitled to this free service. The bus drop off and pick up are extremely frequent and you don't need to pre-book the service. Once you have made your flight booking, if you are entitled to this services, you can apply when you login to your booking on EK manage my booking page.

@@bdeshiguy Not sure, you may need to check with EK, as long as your meet their minimum fare requirement. Cheaper and heavy discount fares are not eligible though
i have a question, while your stay at hotel for a transit, your checked in baggages remain with the airline or you have to carry them with you for a hotel stay?
@@ntzsurgicalco3595 you don't need to get the checked luggage, just bring carry on hand luggage with you to the hotel

Hi. Did you apply for a transit visa online? Or when you arrived at immigration in Dubai? What are the requirements for Filipino passport holders?
@@achillesisidoreisrael6066 I did not apply for transit visa as Malaysian do not need visa to UAE. Not sure about Filipino, best to check with official website
I have 14hr layover but I want to have wander around Dubai for few hrs. Could I do that then catch bus to hotel and rest for a few hours. Or is there only one bus u catch to hotel as soon as u arrive at Dubai airport
The bus is arranged by Emirates and you need to go to their Emirates counter to register for the transit hotel if eligible. You can go to Dubai from the hotel once you have checked in at the hotel anyway. There are plenty of taxi around
What hours do meals serve?

I have a question, even if we can get 3 hrs layover but intebtionally we got 18 hrs layover in dubai just to take the service of Dubai Connect & Explore Dubai. Are we eligible ?

Did you luggage come with you or only your carry on?
My luggage was checked through to the final destination and I just had hand luggage with me

I don't think that is allowed, but no one actually check the room. They need you to show the boarding pass however when you go to restaurant
