- We travelled to our 15th country together with mom!!
We had a 15 hours layover in Dubai, UAE while travelling from Kolkata, India to Toronto, Canada.
We booked Emirates for this journey and in this video you would get all the details of how to obtain a FREE UAE transit Visa, a FREE Hotel Stay with food and also FREE Sim cards!! All thanks to the amazing seamless process of Dubai Connect.
Thus, it was no brainer that we opted for this opportunity to get a glimpse of this city of skyscrapers - Dubai! We visited the Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa and watched The Dubai Fountain Show.
We will definitely come back to UAE and explore it properly, but this time in this 41 hours of journey, I am glad that my (Sudeshna) mom was with us.

The terms and conditions for Dubai Connect say the stopover time between the two flights must be the shortest one available to qualify....
(1) Was your flight the one with the shortest stop over time available?
(2) Despite the conditions do you know if it would still work if I selected a longer stopover time?

The condition you have to met is
equal to eight (8) hours and less than or equal to twenty six (26) hours
If you don’t meet this condition, it’s not eligible for Dubai connect

Thanks for informative video!! Before going Dubai, did you do any CAD/INR to AED conversion and take cash with you while visiting Dubai Mall or use Canadian Credit/Debit card itself?
We have USD, which we exchanged in the dubai mall for AED. You can use Canadian credit card without any issues

If you have the eligible layover hours, you will get the option to choose Dubai connect hotel stays
And if you are nor able to choose, simply call their customer support, they will do it for you

If I use my Canada Credit card in Dubai mall or to purchase anything outside the mall, will any extra charge will be credited ong credit card?
You can get the GST return from outside the mall as well, just remember to ask if the product/shop is giving that option to link your passport

I have a question, even if we can get 3 hrs layover but intebtionally we got 18 hrs layover in dubai just to take the pleasure and service of Dubai Connect, Are we Eligible family with children ??? How can we do or ask questions directly with EMIRATES??
You can contact their customer support number to get a flight with Dubai connect service
Do you have to book your tickets from emirates website only or third party website is also eligible?
As far as I know Third-party websites are not eligible for this offer
But you can always check with airline to confirm

I m flying from emirates on 26th April should i send the details for my dubai transit visa by 8th of this month or should i wait till 24th to do that ? one more question even if i don't have us visa but i do have canada student visa m i eligible for visa on arrival ?

For layover, the checked in Bags were with airline, we got our bags directly in Toronto
