How to backup your control settings for the wipe | Star Citizen | Beginner Help

Hey! I have been informed that I misspoke on a part of the video. Using the "send to desktop" option does not create a copy of the file, only creates a shortcut to the file. You want to make sure there is a standalone copy of the keybinds file saved somewhere otherwise you will lose all your binds.

This is a big one! 👆 [For everyone else] If you import your keybinds and they're not working or seem mirrored between your setup, use that command (minus the *'s) to tell SC to swap your keybindings between control inputs.

When you right click the file and choose send to desktop it just create a shortcut, it doesn’t transfer the actual file to your desktop, am I wrong? 🤔
