True, but think about it: when this movie was made, he was already 43 years old. I think when Segal slash's Penns leather coat was the first time he has every been touched and within a minute he realizes he ain't gonna win this one!
He never thought he wouldn’t win, long as he had a weapon. He felt if he’s armed, he always has a chance. He should’ve challenged Ryback to a shootout, as Penn might’ve actually been the better shot
Holy shit!! Remeber when I was a teen and went with a bunch if friends and my bro to watch this flick at theaters!! Was awesome, I mostly remember two particular moments from this whole final boss fight: 1. At 3:00, Steven Seagal goes in full kick ass mode. 2. At 3:13, here comes the beatdown, starting with counterblock, then followed by a 17 hit combo!!
One thing I like about Steven seagal is that he fights effortlessly without any aggression. But he make sure he beats his opponents well without a scratch.
Big laughter and clapping in the theater when Segal delivered that kitchen line at the end. In spite if a couple of the dumb, over-the-top scenes (and not as good as the first Under Siege) this was still a fun and creative (for martial arts genre) film. And it did fairly well at the box office. Wish he had fine one more, say a fight the terrorists film at the Pentagon or something.
If airforce 1 was never made, then under siege 3 would have taken place on Air Force 1. The main bad guy is a top ranking secret service agent who is the best at what he does and is also an aikido master. The fight would involve two people, one knife, and an akido power struggle. Ryback would actually take two quick hard punches to the face making him bleed a little before he gets the upper hand and stabs the guy in the chest with the knife they were struggling for.
@4:46. All he had to do was slash horizontally across Seagal's forearms and he wouldn't be able to block or grab. How the hell can an armed full trained soldier be scared by to attack an unarmed man at such close range. I appreciated Seagals movies back then but they made him appear too invincible.
What cracks me up is how Penn is drooling and itching so much for a fight with Ryback. I thought it was also hilarious how he threatened his own boss with a knife because he was so hellbent on a showdown.
What’s cool about this sequel is the villain roles changed. First movie tommy lee Jones was not only the master mind but the main villain. Gary busey was the secondary. Here Dain is the boss and mastermind. For the fight though, his main henchman, penn, who is in the Gary busey role here, has to do the actually end fight. Pretty cool switch up.

I wish there would’ve been a part 3 of this movie. It probably would’ve been good on an airplane or in a building similar to the one Bruce Willis jumped off in the 1st Die Hard.
They set Penn up as this super bad ass who could inhale mace without flinching, only to have Ryback tear him apart. What is this? This crap is borderline comical.
It seems you don't understand one simple thing.Mace affects most people. Not all of them.Besides,I've inhaled tear gas from the riot police. It brings tears in my eyes,it doesn'stop me.
That's Seagal's ego at play. He protested to many directors that he is not to be hurt in his fight scenes because, as he stated, it would 1) diminish the art of akido and 2) wouldn't be fair to his "fans"
It seems every time Seagal fights, no matter who he's fighting, he always wins with ease. Is he really that arrogant? I mean in most movies the protagonist gets beat up by the antagonist in the beginning and then comes back and kicks the crap out of the bad guy. But in Seagal's case it's never like that.
Penn would've done better had he confronted Ryback in a shootout. While Ryback is untouchable in hand to hand or a knifefight, Penn is extremely accurate with a firearm in a close quarters shootout. He should've used Rybacks niece to bait him into the line of fire, and end the threat then and there. Penn had been so insistent that he could beat Ryback at his own best tactics, that he fought Rybacks style, instead of using his own best ability which was obviously firearms and explosives
@@castortroy7704 True. Screwface was like his only opponent that gave him a run for his money. Penn had him on the floor. don't know why he didn't stab him.

I wish there would’ve been a part 3 of this movie. It probably would’ve been good on an airplane or in a building similar to the one Bruce Willis jumped off in the 1st Die Hard.
Executive decision
Seagal said he was making a 3 but he’s fat now
Yeah this is the rare situation where the second one is better than the first. They should made part 3.
The scene was set up and shot like final show down in cowboy film... with knifes.
good morning!
In the version I watched, there wasn't a rope attached to the girl
Keep the faith, Penn!
4:10.. Me and my brother call that move "THE EFFECT"... get it
The Under Siege movies are Seagal's best. I like them both.
Nobody beats me in the kitchen. WOW back then he could see into the future.
They set Penn up as this super bad ass who could inhale mace without flinching, only to have Ryback tear him apart. What is this? This crap is borderline comical.
Basically any steven segal film
It seems you don't understand one simple thing.Mace affects most people. Not all of them.Besides,I've inhaled tear gas from the riot police. It brings tears in my eyes,it doesn'stop me.
That's Seagal's ego at play. He protested to many directors that he is not to be hurt in his fight scenes because, as he stated, it would 1) diminish the art of akido and 2) wouldn't be fair to his "fans"
Corey Toomey Ikr. The only even fight he's ever had was the end of exit wounds
this pretty much sums up ALL of Seagal's fights. I seriously wonder why he is the only martial arts actor who is liked NEVER touched at all...
they say if you face what you fear, you grow as a person. that's what Penn did here. wait....
Did anyone notice that mistake at 2:24?
If a man walks towards while u have a weapon just kno he ain’t scared of shit 😂
Seagal is so confident, he showed up with a plastic knife.
This is the scene that I can't forget at @1:24 where the guy intentionally put his hand on the girl's chest, taking the opportunity....
+20fadhil He manhandled Screwface in Marked for death
Penn would've done better had he confronted Ryback in a shootout. While Ryback is untouchable in hand to hand or a knifefight, Penn is extremely accurate with a firearm in a close quarters shootout. He should've used Rybacks niece to bait him into the line of fire, and end the threat then and there. Penn had been so insistent that he could beat Ryback at his own best tactics, that he fought Rybacks style, instead of using his own best ability which was obviously firearms and explosives
@@whoami7533 actually Screwface handled him a good bit as well.
@@castortroy7704 True. Screwface was like his only opponent that gave him a run for his money. Penn had him on the floor. don't know why he didn't stab him.
@@whoami7533 whereas Richie from Out for Justice just got destroyed. Richie was more of a brawler.
Anyone can say anything but this is an awesome B action movie!
The pacing is good the actions are good, music is fenomenal, the story is nice and the characters are, though 2 dimension characters all it's still enjoyable to watch.
And yes, although Saegal was kinda godlike in these movies but in reality very few standard man would have stand a chance agains him in fighting when he was 30-40 years old as a 193 cm tall muscular aikido master and instructor.
So i was fine with the skills he had in these movies.
EVERETT owned this movie. Everybody with a heart knew that ...
I like this movie just for Everett McGill. it's well made too.i find it too much of a seagal ego trip.. Everett McGill
has had the starring role before in movies before this.in such movies such as "field of honor"and "iguana"(with Michael Madsen in an earlier roll)
@@raysierra4194 thanks for pointing of FIELDS OF HONOR. wasnt aware of it at all.
@@B51608 yeah it's low budget. you can find it on VHS. last I checked it wasn't available on DVD....but if u like Everett McGill.you'll probably enjoy it.its also a true story, takes place in the Korean war
3:11 controller disconnected
The knife bit at the beginning is hilarious. Bad guy pulls knife out of belt sheath. Seagal pulls knife...out of thin air?
Don’t you know seagal poops knives?
@@Filthy_Larry that's not what it says according to your chat transcript.
Eric C. I never said anything in that nature.
@@Filthy_Larry that's got to be painful
Can you imagine how much better and unforgettable this would have been if the charismatic bad guys won. I am talking both US 1 and 2
I heard that Gary Busey was meant to be in US2, but Seagal insisted that he wouldn't
He's just looking for Richie.
then as steven looks up he is scared for dare life to see chef boyardee standing in the door way holding a can opener well standing in a fighting stance and twisting his mustache then he mutters "lets uh seeya about uh dat"
The king of Aikido...
I'd love to see Seagal lose some weight in order to pull off a bad ass villain for the next Expendables movie, have him and Dwayne Johnson team up for one last Expendables movie!
Delusional
I'm sorry but part 2 was too good for them to not make a part 3 idk what the fuck happened. I liked part 2 even better than 1
part 2 made a profit, but not much of one. maybe seagal didn't want to do a 3rd. idk.
yea maybe who knows. It's been almost 20 years now since this came out. Crazy
Over 20 now got damn son! Where did time go
Yes, this is the rare situation when the second part is better.
2 was a lot better than 1
Mike Pence vs Steve Seagal 😂
the best movie ever made... thanks Steven
