One can also register for evisa without necessarily waiting for email from home office. As long as you have a valid stay permit.

Hello, thank you so much for this. My question is my brp expires in December, I would need to apply for another visa by then. Would I be applying for the e-visa by then? Or I would apply for a normal renewal of visa and then switch to an e-visa? Also what’s do I do if I’m planning to travel by December as the e-visa wouldn’t take effect until January?
Good advice on time but for me I couldn't create evisa account. It said "the detail aren't matched what I put and home office has" but I write the correct detail.

I have two questions here. We have BRPs expiring 2026.
1) I’m the main visa holder and received the email for e-visa. Dependents (son and wife) does not have email in home office records because I was adding them into my visa application. May I still apply now for all dependents without getting email individually for them?
2) system ask for the expiration date of BRP. Should we add the real date of Dec 2024?
Great video. However if you wear glasses, Remer to remove them before you take your picture. I had several attempts and they even suggested that I would have to do it another way. Praise God I had the same information on my laptop and my phone. I returned to my phone where I had the notification and started from there after the trials on my laptop. It worked.

This is much more informative than other videos that are full of waffle and buzz-words ; although evisa will be easier for UK Border Control , I believe it will cause problems at , for example , Bangkok airport where passengers will have to be fluent enough and IT savvy enough to show a share code , rather than simply showing a BRP which they keep with their passport.
Hi i've used my card as the identity...but it runs out in December....Do I need to link my passport in order to travel? "You need to keep your passport or identity document details up to date in your UKVI account. You might be delayed at the border when entering the UK if you do not have the correct document linked to your account".
Is this applicable to visitors visa like applying for my visa for my mum from the UK. How do I do the picture thing?

hi, when you create your UKVI account, they will ask for the expiration date of your current visa. Did you put 31/12/2024 or you put the year that your permission end? For example, my one is 2030 but BRP said 2024. What should I do?
One thing you forgot to tell people is that if they use their BRP/BRC to apply for the eVisa they have to keep the number on the card somewhere incase they lose the card because they will need that number anytime they want to prove their status to anyone.
Thanks for making this video. Im having trouble. I scanned the qr code and it says invalid and i need a second qr code. I used no codes to get the app. I downloaded directly to the phone after i checked my email on yhe computer and signed in the UKVI account. I called the help desk for home office the only option was to travel 40 miles to the embassy to do it there. I dont know what to do there is literally one qr code it says to scan then it says invalid even though its on their page.
Please help me with this question. Do you first need to be contacted by the home office about your eVisa before you can apply for it or create your ukvi account and proceed with your evisa? Because I was not able to create my UKVI account. During my application for a visa, I just logged in to the visa application and applied. Don't remember creating any ukvi account. The app works on both ios and android. But must have NFC to be able to scan your brp chip. I have only used iPhone in most cases.
If you struggle to scan your document and get frustrated, there is an option to skip and that allows you to manually enter the details from your BRP on to the form..

Hello, can you guide me on how to create an account for a child under five years old, or is it not needed, while the BRP will no longer work.
In one case it didn’t do until the top was placed on the chip. Top being near the notch in iPhone. Pain in the Butt, Neck, Tooth and Knees
So we need 1 phone or laptop as well.

Probably put the date as state in the letter from your visa . Not from the last day of December of 2024?
