Balance does not only come form weapons and armor of the players. It also comes from the map and enemy design. The recoilles would be less effective in missions where the map and enemys dont allow its effective use. In a mission with mass light and medium units the recoilles would not be very usefull. We have a lack of mission types that favor different weapons.
And it’s definitely still challenging to fight enormous swarms of the little guys. I bet you can replicate super helldive’s intensity without hulks or tanks or FS’s, just laser and rocket hell from like a hundred little guys in each cardinal direction and then random strider or maybe also gun-ship bumrushes, random berserker bumrush.
Just played a few games with gas mines as a fifth strategem. One match particularly we ran out of strategems against bots in extraction. Turned out to be easy by shooting down the dropships with the quasar, and the gas mines controlling the direction they were coming from + turret naturally but still the gas mines felt great at the very least for such a situation. The gas sticks around for a good amount of time and they don't pop all at once as a chain reaction.
yes they should buff commando cooldown down to 70s or 80s lol the non packback AT like EAT & commando are still useful. what RR really overshadow is SPEAR. back then only SPEAR can 1 shot everything and that was its selling pt.
I tried different variations vs automatons, and recoiless slaps the hardest. With this weapon, you dont have to compromise, it evaporates anything from Hulk to Rocket Launchers with one shot, can use it in close combat as well as shooting from longer range. I run it with crossbow, senator, stun grenade (if u need to reload). Then usually 500kg, 120mm and with one spot free to whatever you want (rocket seentry, gas). You can deal with anything.
Both are solid picks with strengths and weaknesses. Quasar has more ammo obviously, but the cooldown is longer. Recoilless seriously fucks up botdrops if you do it right. (Instakills factory striders in botdrop) Against bugs you may wanna consider EAT/quasar depending on preference.
@pvzfan4208 always loved the quazar since I've had so many hours of use using it and it has unlimited ammo and I can run a backpack of choice, just very versatile
Quasar does less damage per shot, often needing multiple shots for targets that only require 1 for the RR. That plus the 15 second cooldown and the charge up time, give me Recoiless all day every day
It is currently the KING of AT weapons, instant kill (if you hit your target well) - also you have to take consideration of the gravity when aiming for long distance shots
I don't play the game so I know my observations carry no weight, but I'm going to comment anyway because nobody can stop me. I've been watching a lot of level 10 gameplay lately (figuring out if I want to buy into the game or not) and I've noticed that because one shot from a Rec. Rifle, EAT, Quasar or Railgun will kill almost anything, I don't see pub players dropping in with the Spear and I don't see anybody using team reloading - the Spear's extra power isn't needed and rapid follow-up shots aren't needed. I don't see much focus-firing either, OHKs mean there's no need to poke a few more rounds into a tough target to help out and it really looks to me like everyone is playing their own game besides occasionally passing some ammo. I see Bile Titans and Chargers getting their heads blown off within moments of spawning, I see various bot tanks getting blasted to bits moments after touching the ground, I see most enemy types below these elite threats dying to 3-5 rounds from just about any automatic weapon hitting the right place. Even in your videos BG I see that whenever you get shot by bots and complain, it's because the bots register so little as a threat to you that you're forgetting they even can shoot you, then you're acting surprised when you get hit while standing out in the open asking for it. Honestly, you 'Tubers make HD2's highest mode look so easy that I'm a little put off, I don't want to have buyer's remorse because the game was too easy to master and I got bored of it. P.S. 'Fart mines' isn't a good enough nickname for the gas mines, the internet can do better than that. How about 'whoopee cushions'?
*"The autocanon has more use % of all Helldivers 2. Brace yourselfs, idiots, we gonna nerf it."* *Later on creating more powerfull stratagem in face of Recoiless. Now this is most used stratagem in the Helldivers 2? So what do you change, AH, huh? According to their logic, all things should be fixed. And, from me, if you kill 1 of my beloved child in face of autocanon, and born this - this should be nerfed too. AH logic required it to nerf also, because "nothing can be used my most of the people"* *Instead, autocanon was required skill and accuracy, to do things. This thing totaly unbalanced, and enemies have nerfed even more. This thing give NO CHANCE to drops, any armored units, and can destory everything across the map without even aiming. **_GOOD JOB, AH_*
The recoiless is perfect. I love it. please do NOT nerf this thing.

Well, in Order to get content, The devs would Need to be NOT massively incompetent.

Agreed, RR is great and should be left alone lol
I think it overshadows other anti tanks way too hard. Hope they'll buff the other antitanks instead of nerfing it tho

I agree, raise up the other weaker stratagems not weaken the stong ones.
I recognise the mark of Chaos when I see it, especialy slaaneshi cult...
Assault cannon deployed and ready to unleash hell !
broo I wish you got that guy's Plannetary Annihilation reference, that game is so fun

There should be a toggle to go to thermal sights. Would make smoke a lot more interesting.
But it wouldnt (or at least shouldnt) work on Bots.
@@janbruns1671 I was thinking the thermals wouldn't work on bugs...
@@bigbarrettbob lmao that's hilarious

Quasar better and free backpack slot
Exactly people are forgetting this

@@garydorsey4243im ok with the cd btw shots...but the charge up really turns me off.
Precision missile strike would be cool, like a hellbomb, but on a missile, let’s u completely wipe out strategic targets from range
It is currently the KING of AT weapons, instant kill (if you hit your target well) - also you have to take consideration of the gravity when aiming for long distance shots
For anyone who struggles to remember which firing mode is which for the rr:
HE - High Explosive
HEAT - High Explosive Anti-Tank
In Russian localization, they're fougasse and cummulative. Same things really, but way easier to distinguish.
Why don’t y’all like the quasar cannon as much, I just started using light armour+Jetpack+quasar and the mobility is great and I have infinite ammo
I don't play the game so I know my observations carry no weight, but I'm going to comment anyway because nobody can stop me.
