At last! A guitarist who respects PULSE and unrushed rhythm. This piece finally has the INTENDED lilt and relaxed feel. Everyone else rushes it and trips over. Georgous tone, clarity and wonderfully full bass notes.

Most interpreters I hear playing this piece rush through it, without any rythmic or dynamic nuance, trying to showcase their technical prowess rather than showcase the beauty and feeling of the piece. You really manage to capture that latin passion, and have an impressive manner of making the whole timbric range of the guitar shine, from the powerful bass to the crisp and clear brighter sounds. Truly a pleasure to hear.

Sometimes people forget choro is mostly an upbeat genre of music, made from people playing in their backyards to make their barbecues in the 1800's a bit more lively

I could be your fan :-) Even the people who would assert that one 'needs to be Brazilian' to play this music will probably shut up after having heard what you do here.
That is a matter of taste, of course. I don't know what recording you listened to, but here is a Spotify-link to the recording I listened to 35 years ago. From the hiss I reckon that the recording probably dates from the 1960's or so (released on the JB album "Popular Classics for Spanish Guitar"). I know that Villa Lobos is an excellent composer. So I frequentry listen to his "Bachianas Brasileiras". But It's first time to listen to his work called "Choras No.1". When I listened to this tune which was played by Korean lovely guitarist named "Kyuhee Park" plays, my heart was completely captured. I could feel the streams of low tones and high tones are exstremely beautiful and clear. In other words, I could find out marvelous Counterpoint in it. Next Time, I hope that she will play "Bach's Lute Suite".

Same here. I learned this piece in the 70's but it never sounded like this. Yes indeed, it is a wonderful performance of the piece.

聴いている人を、曲の世界で包み込む優しさがある。
このギタリストは音符に対して慈愛に満ちています。例えば”このフレーズはメロディーが大事だから、ほかの音は従属的でいい”という弾き方はしません。どの子（音符）にも等しく愛情を注ぎます。さらに”この音は楽譜に指定がなくとも強くビプラートをかけた方がいい”となれば、それもためらわずに行います。結局それが曲の意図と合致することとなり、聞いている我々にも心地よい感動をもたらします。彼女が持っているこの解釈する心は、天性のものと思われます。
イエペスの演奏は、もっとメリハリがありクリスタルガラスのような感じがします。それはそれで好きですが、彼女は、”音符に対して慈愛”、なるほど、何とも言えない優しさ、安らぎを感じますね。ミレーの絵「はぐくみ」のような印象を受けます。
