About the neck pickup, there's a bit of a story behind that :) I'm using AmpiTube to shape my tone and initially I was planning to record this song with my Jackson JS, so all the tone modeling was done with this gear in mind. Then I've got my hands on Solar and playing it felt so great that I was struggling to get back to Jackson. While AmpliTube is great, it can also turn into a MASSIVE time sink to squeeze the right tone out of it, not to mention that usually when you model the tone using one guitar it will sound like crap when you use different guitar on the same preset (especially when your aim is to model the tone as close to original sound as possible)... I was actually surprised that plugging in Solar sounded even better than what I've been able to prepare for Jackson, the signal was just sometimes peaking too much, so instead of wrestling with AmpliTube to find the right place to soften it a bit, I've just switched from bridge to neck pickup and got rid of peaking signal in seconds. Not the most canonical thing to do but it got the job done :)
