Jedi fallen order didn’t make a yellow lightsaber cannon the clone wars did. They were used by the Jedi temple guards.

@@austinwilwayco I believe yellow lightsabers first appeared in Jedi Knight Jedi Academy, made in 2003, which to this day has objectively the best lightsaber combat mechanics in Star Wars gaming.

This could be a sequel like 10 years later. Cal goes hiding in tatooine and hides his identity by changing the hair and making a staff to disguise the lightsaber.

Some of these concepts like tatooine could hint towards the second game, as a lot of the story ideas for fallen order were cut for the next game

I would’ve loved if Jedi Fallen Order was more of a darker game where Cal is older and as you go on you find out more and more of his origins with a dark past that he shares with nobody but the crew once he gets to know them and trust them. I think it also would’ve been cool if he was more of a nomad, like he doesn’t appreciate that Cere helped him and he goes on his own but then after they track him down again and again he realizes how desperate they are and remembers his Jedi past and how he should help those in need. He could’ve been more battle scarred from order 66, maybe he could’ve been a master that tried to save his young padawan but failed, leaving him with nobody and becoming a lone scrapper.
You can sorta see elements of that in the game but I think it’s better that it’s not as dark. It’s a starwars game and I really think it should be more centered for kids getting a chance to enjoy a new game. Make it too dark and you alienate a whole new generation of starwars game fans

BTW Yellow was a canon lightsaber colour from at least 2012, when we saw the Jedi Temple guards use the in the Clone Wars.

As he literally can stab a stormtrooper or different enemy in the chest with his lightsaber on multiple occasions in the game It really wouldn't be out of place if were talking gameplay wise.
I'm sure he did a video on how brutal the gameplay is.
The animation of him swiping someone's legs under them and stabbing them in the chest/stomach is brutal.
Not even mentioning the kill animation on the Jotaz, cutting their hand off and stabbing them.

I think the knife is a nice idea. As you said, because of the part of the timeline cal is in, it would make sense, he is on the run. While it is kind of a dirty weapon, Cale fighting style and over all personality is not peaceful, attack at the chance, but also calm the fight at the chance as well. I think it would be cool as just something that he would maybe carry around and not use in a fight but cut ropes or, I don’t know, help him scale a mountain. Anyways, it would make a lot of sense for h8m to have it, even if he did use it in fights, as an ability to block with his saber then slash with his “spare blade”. It would be really cool and make the game just seem more real I guess.

I honestly wish they lead with these concepts for the game. They’re really cool and gritty and are honestly so bad ass. The original concept for the second sister being so deadly is really just a sexy design and it was very well thought out.

Fallen Order did NOT make the yellow light Saber canon. It was introduced in The Clone Wars with the Temple Guards. The temple guards were also in season 2 of Rebels .

Actually, yellow sabers were canon before TRoS and FO, they were made canon by Temple guards in TCW
About the all "fighting without a lightsaber" trilla thing, it actually would have been helpful considering how cal took her lightsaber at bogano, she could have not taken another lightsaber but instead fight him like this. That would have been a really cool concept and that would have shown the training that the inquisitors are going thru

Like someone else said, this would be really cool as a sequel. I’d love to see Cal in a more urban area hiding from the Empire, and I think it would be really cool for it to be in a city, and it could make for some cool movement/combat. The longer poncho and bandana thing covering his face makes a lot of sense if he was hiding, as he’d want to conceal his identity. I just feel like this would be a really cool game.

I would love a game with that character design
I personally love playing Fallen Order, but if they would have went with this darker path I think I would have preferred that. It could have been more of a cross between No Man's Sky, Breath of the Wild, Dark Souls, and Tomb Rader. Even if the story wouldn't have been as fleshed out and they just let the players have massive maps to explore with super hard boss fights in super cool areas. Also the darker theme would have been even better. They could have completely changed the story to something more along the lines of, he is a jedi master who survived order 66, had him doing things as a bounty hunter which would explain the poncho and face coverings such as at 5:08. That would allow him to have went to all of those worlds in search for bounties which could get him into trouble with the empire. To escape from them he has to use his lightsaber to flee which then causes the 2nd sister to go after him. Then he is contacted by obi-wan when he is on Tatooine. This would make it so he is going to all of these other worlds as he is trying to learn the path to immortality. Also starkiller could have been in this darker version. These are just my opinions though so what ever.

The lightsaber Hilt remembers me of the padawan of shaak tii in Force unleashed
Love the idea of the lightsaber being hidden inside the staff. Could have made interesting gameplay for Cal to be able to fight with it ala quarterstaff style if you want to maintain a less overt profile. But then if you need extra damage, you pull out the lightsaber. I don't think it would have worked for this game, but for one that would have done a notoriety system like some earlier assassin's creed games
3:40 I think that, from a purely practical standpoint, Cal should have still been given a knife, and then in gameplay, it can only be used like a survival knife, like to cut foliage or wood, or use it to start a fire. I know that it's not a survival game, but because it's set during a time where the struggle to survive is very real, a tactical knife just makes so much sense for him to have.

I absolutely love the early Cal concept. The long flowing robe/poncho would have felt way more “Jedi-y.” I know there’s lots of mods out there for Cal’s outfit but none as good as this concept art!
I would love to see a much more serious and darker side of Star Wars video games, the nitty gritty stuff behind all the glory the films depict. Rogue one did a pretty good job at showing that.

Maybe they can use this concepts arts to the next game. They can use a older Cal, Exploring more and different planets, to find something or someone.

Cal's original concept reminds me of Sugaan Essena, which I think is interesting.

i enjoyed the metoid-vania style gameplay but wished the game was longer maybe with the use of side quests, a samurai jack of the star wars universe type of thing. cal would visit some planets like tatoowine and help out some sand people problems or kickout some storm trooper strongholds, or traveling to mandolore and learning of the anti-jedi techniques of the mandolorians and using them against the sith inquisitors.

So something I find interesting about this is the fact that Star Wars is often known for having a very big idea that has to be cut into several much smaller chunks. With that being said, I'm wondering if these designs for Cal will be more for the end point of the final installment (I'm assuming the third game). Also, does anyone else think/know if this was supposed to be a Force Unleashed reboot? I kinda got that vibe playing through it.
