A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ UA-cam. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of UA-cam I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on UA-cam won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This UA-cam channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different

This song made a huge impact on the music industry. Its a timeless masterpiece in my opinion.
The song that is being sampled is "I Keep Forgettin'" by Michael McDonald. He is also in the group Dobbie Brothers, who I don't think you have heard yet. But I know think you will eventually, because I've seen some people recommending it.
Born in 1987, this is the music I grew up on. I LOOOOVE that you are going back to the good stuff and learning about it. Honestly, the 90’s had the absolute best music as far as hip hop & r&b goes ❤️

The movie is "Above the Rim". Came out in 1994 I think. Pac is in it. This song is on the soundtrack. I was 9 when this song came out and it was my favorite back then..still a favorite today!

You absolutely need to check out "I Keep Forgettin" By Michael McDonald, which was the main sample in Regulate. McDonald was also in the Doobie Brothers, who you should for sure check out as well. "What A Fool Believes" is the best place to start with the Doobies.
