@dougEfresh Funky Headhunter was good but was harder than his previous albums so people thought he was turning "gangsta", his follow up album Inside Out has the same sound but less hard edge lyrics, I liked both albums to be quite honest. That sultry funk, that's the type of funk we want.
Not since Michael did the moonwalk, did everybody try so hard to do the Hammer move. EVERYONE loved this song or at least knew it and his moves. Hammer was high energy, a lot of fun, uplifting and by all accounts a really nice guy!
I don’t like this song as he sampled it from Rick James super freak which is my favourite song and it pisses me of as whenever I play it everyone says can’t touch This
Many moons ago. I set out to do many of MC Hammer moves. I actually enrolled in a dance school and the instructor there actually help move me along in a lot of what he does. One thing I learn through it all is you have to be in superlative shape to make it all come together and at the speed he does it. One glaring fact I came to realize when doing all of this was what MC Hammer was doing was unsustainable in the long run.

I met him once in an elevator in Champaign, IL at the hotel where I worked and he was staying. Genuinely nice, chill dude. Looked me in the eye as we talked, shook my hand and wished me well with my college studies. Only like 5 minutes of my life, but 5 minutes I'll never forget. Cool dude.
This song was required playlist at every party, every dance, every backyard BBQ, blockparty, street party, etc. His message was positive with a "Can Do!" attitude. Fantastic talent indeed. Glad you found this track.
First moment in this white girl's life I realized my natural shape was considered bangin to many men... .. You have no idea the boost to my self confidence it gave a wife and mom that never saw herself as sexy. 💯💛
MC sampled Rick James’ “ Super Freak”. The original video had his band and dancers - guys- I found it more entertaining- the hair and outfits were off the charts!
