My routine is drink water Monday through Thursday. Drink Bourbon Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night. 🥃
Feels like a reasonable compromise. 🤔😂
Extremelly important topic... I dont know about the USA standards but in my country the daily limits are less than 40g for men and less than 20g for women... Never drink with empty stomach... Eat healthy food... Exercise... Enjoy with responsability... Be safe gentleman... Cheers!
Moderation is everything!
I just posted a video of me out getting my exercise. You are spot on. You have to have balance. I’m like you, no other vices, I eat healthy and excercise 3-6 days a week. I usually have a 2oz pour nightly. Sometimes none, sometime more. I don’t get drunk. That’s not why I drink. Cheers brother and thanks for spreading the word🥃🥃
🥃Thanks for adding your thoughts. 👍
I add a ton of water before my videos and only drink in moderation and enjoy it. I don’t drink much thru the week.
I never drink to get drunk but to pair with my cigars.
My method is to have a dry week every month. The first seven days of the month I drink nothing. Then I skip a day for the rest of the month. This also helps to not burn through the whiskey collection, and saves the checking account balance. Haha
Great tip! 🥃
I was never a drinker.. then I got into whiskey about 3 years ago… I have put guard rails in place to prevent me from drinking too much… it was a process for sure. Just be mindful for the beginners!
You said it perfectly. Diet , exercise, and enough sleep are key to good health. I started my whiskey journey a diabetic. 8 months l8r, my A1c dropped to normal levels, and I lost 50 lbs. I did this by dropping sugar and carbs. Minimal exercise, one meal a day, and improved my sleep habits. Last I checked, my liver and kidney numbers were healthy. I admitted to my Dr I usually have a few modest pours on weekends. He said whatever I'm doing is working. Fun fact: Bourbon is keto/carnivore friendly.
Moderation is key, I only drink on weekends with an occasional exception for special occasions such as a birthday. Also saves money not drinking daily, a 750ml usually lasts me 2 months if Im only drinking that
I drink - at least - 2 days per week no alcohol. On the days I drink I take most of the times one dram, ocasionaly 2 or 3. An important rule is that I do not drink alcohol when I feel down. I drink whisky to celebrate a good day, which gives me an incentive to make something of my day. On a bad day I dont even want alcohol.
I drink 2-4 oz daily, i have a very physically demanding job and drink almost a gallon of water a day. Its how i wind down my day to relax my body
👍🥃
Eat fairly healthy, lift pretty hard, moderate cardio, BJJ for 10yrs. I might have enough pours on Friday to feel effects but once that happens i shut it down. An once for a night cap during the week.
I usually have a 2 1.5 oz pours a night bout 4-5 nights a week. I have a job where I am on feet all day as pest control technician. I get excercise like 7 hours a day. I love whiskey I usually also dont go past 110 proof my range is 90-110 proof. As far as beer I may have two beers a week and a glass of wine with wife once a week.Plus I dont smoke and never done drugs. Great video 👍🏻🥃
Thank you and thanks for adding your thoughts!
I take many precautions to avoid having excess blood in my alcohol system
🤣🤣😂
Good idea to take milk thistle pills every day. I walk up and down flights of stairs at work, and eat a very small breakfast. I get my blood tested once a year to test liver functions, since I take a statin (7 of them, if you have a bad side effect for 1).
I'm 64, and gave up all tobacco in 1989. I do have some underlying health issues; like the majority of Boomers. I enjoy a pour or other adult beverage(1) 3-4 times a week. Whiskey is a hobby.
I don't eat fast food very often, I follow my doctor's orders and take vitamins on a daily basis. My A1C, BP and my stats are good.
👍🥃
As complicated as it seems for some I think the simpler the better. As someone who quit smoking cigarettes I approach ‘vices’ away from compulsory behavior. Meaning I’m not compelled to over indulge on a regular basis. Enjoying something satisfying in ‘healthy’ doses is what being mature and responsible is all about. Cheers y’all!
🥃👍
Y'all who've responded here so far are *really* light drinkers. Surprised to see it considering the hobby we're in. Maybe the people who *aren't* light drinkers are shy to reply.
I do some of the same things. Thank you for sharing!
Great video. I eat very clean, workout, take vitamins, etc… as a part of my daily lifestyle. If I know I’m going to have more than a couple pours I supplement with extra magnesium and NAC.
Good tip! 👍🥃
great video. I live by nearly the exact same advice you give!
Glad to hear it! 👍🥃
Good question!! Thinking about giving up alcohol during the week and a couple of pours on the weekend.
Great channel!!! Where are you located?
Thank you! Sacramento.
The dose makes the poison
🤔👍Well said.
Risky hobby. I bet a lot of people "accidentally" end up addicted to bourbon after hoping on the hype train.
Maybe. Like most things in life, you have to know yourself.
I doubt it. Drunks drink to get drunk, they have no interest in the history and making of bourbon.
