The year it's 2023 and I still comeback here every year, and I still moved by her voice.
Only the good things and persons are remembered, everything else has an end.
You are not alone my friend
that voice give u goosebump right lol
Same!
So moving 👍🏾 this band gives us an outstanding performances every time.
2024 and still coming back for this gem
2024 Timeless Music !!
Her voice is ridiculously good. It enters your body
AdvancedEliteGaming It enters your body sounds so ridiculous but I completely know what you mean! It is special
Bob smiff i did not expect that here, so that's why it was funny, well done ;)
+TheDutchOne NL en deze muziek zal niet helpen. au contraire. grts
LDN EDD calm down
AdvancedEliteGaming how can a voice be ridiculous?
2024 and listening to this masterpiece
Me too.. stunning
When I first came across this video. My mind was blown. I listened to this song every morning on my way to school. Now 8 years later I follow KEXP every day excited to hear more great music! You've introduced me so many wonderful artists!
It's now 2024....still can't forget this tune. ❤
I always love Cheryl Waters reactions to the songs that truely hit deep, it's so lovely to see her responses!
I've watched many many many KEXP vids, and you KNOW when a song truly connects.
LOVE YOU CHERYL!!!!
Hey now,
Letters burning by my bed for you
Hey now,
I can feel my instincts here for you
Hey now
By my bed for you, hey now,
Hey now
Ooh ooh, you know it is frightening
Ooh ooh, you know it’s like lightning
Hey now, now
Hey now,
Letters burning by my bed for you
Hey now,
Leave it to the wayside like you do,
For you
Imagination calling mirrors for you
Hey now,
Hey now
Ooh ooh, you know it is frightening
Ooh ooh, you know it’s like lightning
No no no no
Hey now, now
Hey now, now
Hey now, now
Hey now, now
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
If you didn't watch the video and only heard the audio you would struggle to know that this is a live performance. Absolutely flawless musicianship.
This is my favorite version of the songs they played.
Imagine having this voice? What a precious gift.
a curse
Ikrm can't even clean bathroom
❤❤❤❤❤
Saying it's a gift is close to insulting. The years upon months upon days upon hours a singer spends training and refining their tool and someone calls it a "gift" or a "talent".
Yes we train and refine, but the general gift is given by GOD. He's the one who keeps this girl's heart beating, lungs working, vocal cords, etc. Yours too. @@ikmor
The host reaction is literally my reaction :D
Same.
+Maddie Willia Same
+Maddie Willia fuck! i cried !
+Vani Ylove it happens
This song is so powerful
Presenters reaction at 3:47 is priceless. Genuinely, completely blown away.
This track is literally on some next level shit.
well said, man.
It's such a simple song. Not really much to it at all but I end up cranking it like it's Slayer or something.
Kenneth Hammann its fucking ace.
Exactly!!!!!
Haha, well said. ;D
It's 2020, and this song is still one of my all-time favorites ❤️
It is my "Song of the decade"
Karnivool cover of it blows it out the water
@@samblack5313 I'll check it out!
@@samblack5313 that was really beautiful. Thank you for the recommendation.
@@mshaftenberg ❤️
shes beyond amazing but the band is also soooo on point. amazing chemistry considering its just the two guys. that subtle palm muting with the keys is AWESOME.
It's 2023 and there are only 3.1 Million views... underrated af
Such a pity
One of the best voices I've ever heard. This girl is just charismatic!
Warm, silky and sultry voice, omg nice.
The guitarist's face! He is a million miles away just opening his soul to all the sounds.
I'm obsessed with this song.
I wasn't even in the studio and I feel the exact way that women did. all I can say is, wow....
it was funny because she literally took the words right out of my mouth at the end.
there is something sad, beautiful, electric, inexplicably emotional about this song. great song!
+ibexy Can't add to this..
i am so amazed that i watched this several times without hitting the like button. i wish the whole world could feel like i do now
That the sweetest "thank you" I've ever heard
My daughter introduced me to London Grammer; I'm 59! WEhen listening to these tracks everyone equally amazing I look over the years and recall Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Diana Ross, Dusty Springfield, super stars, this band tops them all and I realise the power of music
Hg,.ok.
Jkkjrt
and Stevie Nicks
London Grammar are for me "the best band in the world in 2014" The debut album is not just one of the greatest début albums it is one of the great albums of any era. They are better than the Beatles' were at the same stage. Having said all that My favourite track of the decade is "the curse" by the divine Agnes Obel
Keith Bate well said keith cant really compare to the beatles [different times and all ] but i get your reasoning
s oz Thanks and just for the record I am 59yo and my fav band of all time is ...the Beatles !! from 64 onwards the Beatles became awesome eg "and I love her"
This kills the album version. God thanks so much KEXP.
We're in 2022 and I'm still here listening to this masterpiece. She's an angel, they're awesome, London Grammar ❤️
I love this more than the record release...this lady just pours her soul into it and I found it more tender or heart-felt
First time I ever heard London Grammar I was driving. This came on the radio and I had to pull over to listen. Her voice has a bizaar "emotional" quality, the likes of which I have never heard before. Just wish people would stop making comparisons with other vocalists... there's noone close.
its real soulful
+Michael Monk was was their song you?
Bit annie lennox from eurythmics
i know you are driving on forza horizon 2 haha
Her voice is so beautiful
Tru Beautyful voice and Women :) First time i hear that band coz i hear this song and start find help on YT and here i am.
This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. When she started singing, suddenly I couldn't breathe, I felt my heart beating out of my chest and I got goosebumps. I strongly recommend using good headphones or a decent audio system with bass while listening to this track.
N0rt3x sounds amazing on my naim separates
Or the vinyl record, and some good speakers. Jesus, freaking out of body experience
You offered good advice. I took it.
@@matspalmqvist You naim dropper ;-) .
just listend to it high for the first time. I am crying for 30 minutes already. Its insane. The moment i contentrate on it my eyes instantly get flooeded with water
8 years later and this song still gets me through tough times 💙🤍❤️
The beauty of this woman makes this blackened room shine. Her voice is in my opinion is perfect and her pitch is always on point.
Been listening to this song since...this version since 2015. I explain it as "one of the best collaborations of sound waves this earth has ever heard". Its gold everytime Ive ever heard it. Thank you creating this!
Love Listening to London Grammar and awesome sound Engineers at KEXP
Her voice is making me cry.... why ? fuck... STOOOOPPPPPPP
Can't believe I have lived this long a never heard of KEXP before. The amount of great positive music I have found today is unreal
That vibrato passes right through my soul.
Did they realize how special this was going to turn out? Taken aback?! That's an understatement! Leaves me speechless!!
One of the best female singers on the planet
That guitarist has an amazing feel.
Yes, his playing is like he is thinking and feeling through his guitar. The guitar has this smooth and silky tone, and he has an excellent command over his instrument.
you so obviously play the guitar!
😂 no
Absolutely no
Awesome strat tone too 🤟
I told myself ''only one more video''....ended up watching like 20 London Grammar videos.absolutely love it!!!
I keep coming back to this one. It's a more distilled and pure sound than the album version. No added effects - just smooth, haunting beauty. The voice of the guitar is almost as pretty as Hannah's and they're mixed in perfectly with that rich and buttery synth. Unreal. If anyone knows how I could find or buy an uncompressed version of this recording I'd be very grateful.
How wonderful they are. What a voice Hannah.. And they look like they just got the tube to go and play. No Rockstar attitude or eccentric clothes. Amazing
I'm still not over this. Band is tight. Awesome voice🤘🏻
one of the most beautiful woman i've ever seen in my life
She's all that indeed.
can't add more to this statement!
Women + Voice this is all you get in this pack... OMG rly awesome!
@@Bekon241 man, it's a hell of a combo
What one?
Can't believe this video has 90 thumbs down.
Some people are either sick or deaf.
Love this song so much and the woman's reaction in the end is basically what I feel every time I listen to it.
Congrats! :D
I could listen to that keyboard all day. So catchy
Thank you for my feelings again. You tear my soul apart in the most beautiful ways!
I feel like this is the most relaxed I've seen Hannah while performing live, and it shows in the performance. Such a powerful and beautiful voice. (Also, Cheryl probably has a lot to do with this. She's a fantastic, comforting host.)
❤❤❤ Loved the hosts reaction at the end. She expressed my exact feelings and she had to catch her breath.
Their humility is also just so pleasant :)
Amazing performance by very talented performers. The radio host said it all for us at the end.
Simple, yet so hauntingly beautiful.
Love this song, but I must say......everything sounds better in the KEXP studio!
John Papadakis she sounds good in other venues too
Have you noticed the host expression, stunning!
This was an AWESOME performance. I lost track of the group but this will echo for a century
Hannah's voice and this song 💛 nostalgia
this is them at their best. You can tell they're just in it.
The radios hosts reaction is pretty much what we were all thinking after that lol.
Such an amaizing artist. love love love...makes me chilly
im in Heaven nowwwww .... :) thanks London Grammar fot this moment :)
her voice is amazing... it takes me to other level of consciousness ... or that's what I think I feel.. love this band!!! :)
Incredible voice.. what a gift and she's beautiful how to not fall in love with her
love how the guy on the guitar is just vibiing
Man, her voice is unreal.
This song literally sent chills down my spine, her vocals are amazing. It's just so... haunting.
My favorite performance of this song. It's amazing.
Voice that echos through time
Probably best song on the album!
When I hear London Grammar, I'm taken back to when I first discovered Zero 7. This young lady would have fit right in that group, a group I hold in the highest regard.
That's it! Now I know why it haunted me. It's got that In the Waiting Line keyboard feel, and the vocals are on par with Sia and the other singers. Heavenly.
my deepest respects to this performance.. 🙇
I keep returning to this version like an addict. :)
This performance makes me want to cry...so outstandingly awesome.
"Letters burning by my bed for you" is such a well written line. Great performance nonetheless!
It's actually lettuce.
@@DaveTaste damn you autocarrot
Her voice. Its just so amazing. Nothing like ive ever heard!!!
I don't know how I missed them, but the 1st time I heard London Grammar was on the Disclosure compilation, it was Help Me Lose My Mind. I was hooked & curious about the group. I was totally gobsmacked when I saw the body of work on UA-cam & then I started listening. I am 60 yrs. young & I have been playing the Deep Journey (Remix Megamix) in my car for 2 weeks straight now. I feel blessed & lifted listening to them! If they ever play in the states at something that isn't Coachella-like, I will be there! Hannah Reid has the best voice I've ever heard & she has taken the top spot of all of my favorite singers, male & female.
I'm 66, took me too long to discover them. was a jazz dj in Baltimore for a year in late 70's.
Voice and music in this song is HAUNTINGLY beautiful; it feeds my soul!
Haha, I love that woman's reaction at the end - jaw dropped!
This is sublime. Hannah is channelling God here!
Hypnotizing.
That VOICE! 🔥
what a beast of a vocalist! amazing
No Bullshit here people....this is for real.
Listened to this 4 times in the last 24 hours and it will be more before the day is through! I am their new number one fan and will do all I can to let others know of this talented group.
I love the distinctiveness of her voice.
She has such a beautiful voice.Thank you so much.
That's the best performance of this song.
Bingo.
+ BBC1 Live
It's so nice to see the reaction of the woman of the radio even when she's used to receive good bands. This is not a fake emotion and the reaction of the band for the compliment : a sincere and humble smile . Rare and precious moment
Probably the most powerfull Tune ive heard in ages now watched all the mixs...this girls going places!
I just put a list of other powerful tunes as a comment that can PROBABLY compete with this one. All from different context but each with a powerful drive. read the list and let me know what you think.
Why does this song affect me so much? crazyyy. I just get like an emotional feeling from it. So awesome
+Josefine Vesterlund move on please
Me too, makes me cry, I don't know why?
So nice to see and hear a real talented singer and group that sound just as good live! ...finally!.....its been awhile, even took the interviewer aback.
Too me she's like the perfect blend of Birdy, Florence Welch, and the lead singer from Heart, but also completely unique. Absolutely beautiful live performance.
If I would've been the radio host I would've probably cried after hearing such performance right in front of me. This was amazing
your voice, his guitar, your band....amazing and thank you
Beautiful song and beautiful voice, This song and band is one of my favorites. Haunting.....
This isn't even remotely the type of thing I usually listen to, I first heard her voice in the arty remix of hey now. It drew me to actually look up the original. I've now listened to pretty much everything I can find by this group. The pure and raw emotion. This song has helped me tap into a feeling I didn't know I could feel. The whole group is amazing and I feel exceptionally lucky to have stumbled upon them. The 239 people who disliked this obviously don't have any heart.
Her voice is so fucking beautiful. Can't believe I haven't heard of them until now.
