Hi Nathan😊, thanks for all the info.and you're sure have your Blazer looking shiny and clean in and out. Glad she's a good rig and runner for you. Glad the fuel tank pressure sensor was only problem, and not pin hole leaks in pipe from gas cap to tank. Have a great day !👍✌
Jacob Moon well Jacob I'm nice for all good reasons, for one I like being treated the way I treat people 😊, I'm a Christian number two, and I've met people who out there take niceness, meekness for a weakness, not so. Hope you and wife are well😊👍
Fuel tank vapor vent sensor. All have three pins. On most Chrysler products it is found in the fuel filler neck. It usually gives you a code P0441 if it doesn't go open circuit .This is the only video I have seen about them on UA-cam!
@@FixingWithPassion mine was changed out and I was wondering where it was - funny thing is I was looking at it last year and I thought it was rusted out! haha. I had no idea it had been replaced already.
Never had a problem with mine until the metal cover on the fuel pump rusted and the check engine light came on. Changed the pump out and it came with a new pressure sensor. Light still coming back on. Gotta feeling that cheap sensor was no good. Gotta drop my tank again.
Hope you fixed it. I have a 2004 TrailBlazer EXT LT 6 cyl 4.2L and Ive been chasing a P0455 Large Evap Leak for over a year! Smoke tested, changed Filler neck...etc...NO LUCK!
when it comeback very fast it means bad sensor , but check the ohms for that sensor if the ohms is bad that means bad sensor change it Hi Tech Technology & Diagnostic Auto
Hi, I have been facing issues while filling the tank ,it just stops and sometimes it works fine but mostly it stops filling...I have changed almost everything like fuel pump ,charcoal canister, vent valve , regulator...but still it is not fixed
I have the PO452. I put 3 different sensors in 3rd was new Oem GM. I tested the plug seemed fine was getting the 5v. I cant smell a leak. I had thrown a code for the purge solenoid so I replaced that. that has not come back...I do not get codes for large or small leak. I drove the car once after clearing the code for 135 miles then it came back..I drove it again for 95 miles and then it came back. I notice it only comes back after I drive and come to an idle...Today was the first day it came back with out driving nearly 90 plus miles..The car runs fine..I dont want to throw parts at it but Canister Vent Valve Solenoid was next on the list be never get a code for it...Its driving me crazy..
I'm getting the code P0452. I've tested my fuel tank pressure sensor and it's fine. Here's the part where I'm scratching my head... I turned my ignition on, and got the multimeter. I put the black probe on the negative wire (ground in the three-prong plug/pigtail,) and the red prong on the 5v (hot) wire on the pigtail. It was 5v. When I held the black prong on the body of the vehicle to ground it, it read 4.3 (which is more what it should be.) I've tried the same with the signal (middle) wire on the pigtail, and it read nothing when the black prong was on the negative side, but when putting the black prong on the body of the truck (good ground,) it read .1. I have a couple questions regarding this... Does this mean there's a break in the ground? Where exactly is this specific ground connected? (This is a 2002 Chevy Blazer 4.3L 4x4.)
i have a 2011 altima, i get p0452 evaporative emission system pressure sensor/switch low. i checked for leaks none found. replaced the fps, replaced fueltank cap and still getting that code. i noticed when ichanged the sensor i erased the troublecode and the light didnt come on unless i turn the car off and open and close the fuel tank cap. please help somebody!! i need to pass DEQ! any ideas??
I'm getting jerking driving my 1998 Chevy blazer. Intermittent issue. No mechanic I've gone too has been able to fix or figure it out. There was a p1115 engine code reading something about high voltage?? Any ideas? My paperwork is put away at this time. I can smell gas when I put new gas in and the smell goes away. Car ran fine half of the day then jerked 20 miles home. Was too hot to restart. Then in the morning it restarted. Can you tell I'm a woman?? Lol. Any thoughts would be great. I've had the car to a few mechanics. Uuuhh
Thank you for the prompt reply. I've had the pump replaced a few times in its life but it's been awhile since I've had the fuel filter replaced. Why with all the work they did wouldn't they have included a fuel filer?? Too simple I guess. Not making them money. Sad. Thank you so much for the clues.
Hello.... !! BillinL.A. , Calif. Here, I bought a 2000 GMC Yukon XL , 5.3L , ( 244,000 Miles) with a P0452 code, and " Service Engine Soon " Light On....Which is Literally a " Check Engine Light " On. The Point Overlooked is : even Though I was Able to Transfer the Vehicle in My Name ,and Paid for the Future Year of Registration...( about $220.00), I will Not Receive " Stickers and New License Plates until I get a " Star Smog Check " --- and The Smog Inspection won't Pass with the P0452 Code Malfunction/ " Service Engine " light On the Dash... So , I will have to Buy a Fuel Tank Sensor , Then Lower The Tank, ( Near Empty )... Just Enough to Swap it Out. Hopefully That Will Turn The Light Off, or Keep it Off, after ( OBD II - Clearing It.). Still....I Don't Know if The SUV will pass The Star Smog Test....A Backyard Mechanic wanted $150.00 Cash to Swap it Out Plus the Cost of the Sensor. I will fix it Myself..... Hopefully..!! 4-27-21. To be Continued....
When I took off the Fuel tank Pressure Sensor, the little nub broke off and fell in the hole. The new sensor snapped right on. Will this cause me any problems??

Try putting Vaseline around the gas cap seal. Seems to work!

It's also called the "Fuel Vapor Pressure Sensor"

Would dielectric grease helped the new sensor and wire plug from corroding...
Yep
Thanks man

dont understand why theres hardly any videos of it an the location of the sensor
Did it cause reduced engine power?
No.
@@FixingWithPassion I've got same code but its activated the engine power reduced engine light with arrow down
What problems did yours have with the code?
I have same code and my truck wont start
@@elchicotony7637 ever figure it out?
With this code did vehicle start with code?
yea
Thanks, I forgot to plug the fuel pump back in. This will cause same code and not start, so might be useful to know later for someone
I change my sensor and light still coming back...
☝
This is on the charcoal canister on a 2005 cts. check your connection before you change it. I took the part back and got my $55 back.
That looks like a sensor not a regulator, the regulator's under-the-hood
yea...I hat that.
