Looking for a great mousetrap? One that holds a lot of mice, is reusable (and can be cleaned)? This is the best trap we've ever used. Check out the video and the results! Cheers!
I work in a dairy and we use these for pest control in the plant and they work great. A real good dispatch method would be to just drop the whole trap in a bucket of water for a few minutes.
I’d think it would develop rust after a few times and the hinges wouldn’t work as well…? I do agree that they’re better off not living and reproducing, though! Lol
We get mice in the garage in the fall. We have corn & soybean fields all around us, so field mice are constantly on the run during havest. I'm going to put one of these in the garage this fall. It won't be catch and release though. I was waiting for you to say that you dropped them in a bucket of water. Their mice! Letting them go just makes them someone else's problem. 💚💚🌞🌞
I may use the water in the future. I figured if I killed them, I'd get heck from people for being inhumane. If I let them go, I get some hassle too! I like when the hens catch them!! Cheers Jennie!
I've used these for years. I don't even bait. I suspect they go in because they smell other mice. I'm not into 'catch and release.' Instead, I slip the trap into a plastic bag and give them a nap in the freezer.
That's a good plan too. I didn't think of the freezer. I like when my hens catch the mice! This is a quality product and we're going to get a couple more. Cheers Bobbi!
These do work great. I tried the little electric shock traps, but you only get one at a time. The one I have is a different brand, but the same thing. It has a clear section on the top lid so you can see. At first I was worried they might be able to chew through the clear plastic section, but the way it overlaps and fastens to the metal makes it impossible for them to get a bite on it at all. When they see another mouse in the trap, they tend to investigate. The little snap traps and shock traps are fine, but if you've got more than just a few to deal with these are the way to go.
Great Review... Our friend uses that trap and they submerge the trap under water for a few minutes then dispose.🫤 We have outside cats that help us with our outside rodents.🐁 Im happy you released them! ❤️
I bet the cats work wonders to keep the mice down. We've got a few feral cats in the area. I didn't want to dunk the mice as I felt that I'd catch heck on this video. I guess I'm getting a hard time for not drowning them! Cheers Barb!
These look great! We occasionally get mice in our basement and they’re definitely out in the wood shed, coop and garage. We might need to pick a handful of these up! Thanks for sharing!!
The link on Amazon takes you to a 2-pack for $20. That's what I ordered. They sure take out the mice fast. I've got two in the barn and one in the garage now. I hope this helps you!
@@TheOldSwedesFarm thanks!! I hope they help, too… looks like they’ll work better than what we have been using. I can’t believe you guys got 21 in 3 days!!
That looks like an AWESOME mouse trap! Thanks for sharing the information and how it works. If I saw it without your review, I would have been skeptical.
We have feral cats around here and I don't want to have issues with them. Maybe in the future, but right now, we'll stick to the hens catching mice (plus me!). Cheers!
Oh no! Sorry about the mice. Eek. I really would have loved footage of you and the chickens when you opened the trap with those 5 mice! Lol We haven’t dealt with any mice just marmots lol. The neighbor has an outdoor cat that handles everything yet leaves the free ranging girls alone. Win win. Victor is a great brand. Awesome review!
We've got wild cats around here, but I don't want to introduce them to the barn! I've got enough to worry about. This is a real winner and we're catching more & more every day! Thanks for stopping by Lisa!
I am loving it! The hens catch a few but I'm getting rid of them faster. I'm ordering two more for the garage. THe mice are strong this (dry) summer. Cheers Chuck!
We've caught over 50 mice so far. If you want a link to the product, it's in the description of the video. We bought the two pack as we're catching them in the garage and coop/run. Good luck!!
Look at the piece that comes down in the little tunnel. Mine was up with dirt under it. I removed the dirt and could see it come down again. Check that out. Hope that helps.

Good idea. I was thinking of popping it in the freezer for awhile.
I’d think it would develop rust after a few times and the hinges wouldn’t work as well…? I do agree that they’re better off not living and reproducing, though! Lol
I thought about water but didn't want to tempt rust. These are working so well. I didn't want to have it degrade! Cheers!

It really is a winner and works so well for the mice. I'll have to check into the clear lid trap. Thanks for mentioning it. Cheers!

@@Gunsmokefarmstead The trap has performed wonderfully over this week. It's really been great. If you order a couple, let me know. Cheers!

I was skeptical too but gave it a shot. I'm sure happy Holly pointed it out! Give it a try and you'll like it. I'm ordering two more! Cheers Dawn!
These work really good I may have to try them! But we have 3 cats also they do a pretty good job! You and holly ever gonna get some barn cats?

Perfect addition to a chicken coop!
It really did a great job! It's amazing how fast you can catch the mice! Cheers Sarah!

Sold me. Probably feels nice to get rid of so many.

What a great trap! We need one of those! Thanks for sharing this.

Looks like that works really well. I need a rat solution.
Maybe there is a larger version for rats? Luckily we don't have rats here.
Well done brother
Thank you MIke! We appreacite you stopping by!
I saw it on Amazon for almost 18.00 before I found this video.
It's nice to find a quality product on sale! We love these. They work so good!
Mine stopped working. They come in, eat the food and then somehow leave the trap. Zero mice. Zero bait. I have 6, but no more mice.
Look at the piece that comes down in the little tunnel. Mine was up with dirt under it. I removed the dirt and could see it come down again. Check that out. Hope that helps.
