Seems kind of unfair to compare these 2 bands. They are doing different kinds of music. Don't get me wrong, I'm very big fan of apocalyptica since I was 13-14... But it's just not the same.

I know nothing about video games and game music but this piece is cool ! And it's always astonishing to see how they are able to play in any position/move (lol, perttu).
Finnish classical gods at work :) love seeing them go all metal but its also beautiful and amazing to see them at their most basic element where they started. can't wait to see them live again hopefully it's not another four to five years before you come back to the states

That first violinist is hilarious from 2:14 on. Wish there had been a close up of him when Perttu started head banging! I saw a recording that showed them returning for a second bow and Paavo makes a point to grab the guy to bow w/ them and then makes him do the devil horns, trying to "un-uptight" him:) Glad Perttu and cello are ok now...
