Music is music. It’s the passion, emotion and work you put into your instrument ( voice included) that gives it your intended feeling. You can do amazing things no matter what your style is.

Pagan music was more like the metal of those times . They used instruments like the ‘hurdy gurdy’ which produced
sustained 5ths adagios which sounds similar as the power chord , also people used that music to get drugged and crazy at parties

Hall of The Mountain King Apocalyptica Far away
    In a land caught between
Time and space Where the books of life lay
    We fear
    This castle of stone
    The mountain king roams
    All alone in here
But he's not the only one
Lost inside Forever hidden from the sun
    Madness reigns
In the Hall of the Mountain King
    Oh yeah
    His deep
    Dark eyes
    Keep watch on his kingdom
And the mysteries that sleeps safe inside
    His hall
His towers of stone Shall not be overthrown
    For eternity
It is guarded by the king
Insanity and the power that it brings
    Madness reigns
In the Hall of the Mountain King
    Oh yeah
In the Hall of the Mountain King
    Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
    Come with me
    Stay close by my side
As the darkness of night closes in
    Don't fear
    In the thunder, it roars
When the Mountain King calls all his children home
To where I hid him we must run
Refuge here but I was forever on the run
    Madness reigns
    (my friends)
In the Hall of the Mountain King
    Oh yeah
In the Hall of the Mountain King
    Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Y'know what's weird? I'm fifteen. The kid at highschool known for liking K-Pop and Billie Eillish. But in the shadows, I'm blasting this in quarantine. It's awesome, why do people sleep on these guys?! Even better that there's no vocals and the cello can shine itself.

It does make a very full, heavy soundscape.

This is actually from the very end of an hour and half long show, it amazes me that they're even still standing after all that headbanging, cello-slaying sheer awesomeness :P

Yes, I know, but I am so used to Dream Theater and Machine Head's half hour long musics, I just forgot how there were different bands that had different styles. xP

I'm not a fan of heavy/black metal and I know it's a classical from the norwegian Edvard Gried which I love...Well, but I must admit they are VERY talented.

I know this is an old comment but this isn't heavy metal or black metal. Apocalyptica are symphonic metal. A subgenre of metal of music that often throws in more classical music elements. Also sometimes includes an operatic singer. Look up bands like Nightwish, Delain and Within Temptation for some more symphonic metal. Heavy metal is stuff like AC-DC, people usually incorrectly focus on the heavy part. Black metal is FAR heavier as a genre. Metal has such a wide range of extremely varied subgenres that you can almost guarantee that anyone could find a metal band they like.
