I'm a huge Lions fan and we did not have starters out outside of healthy scratches and Jamo being suspended and he hasn't hardly played at all for the team. No need to make excuses for a good win

Congrats to the Lions, they earned the W. Saying Chiefs are missing “some starters” isn’t really true considering the two guys are top 10 nfl players. I guess we’ll see who the better team is full power in February 👀

The Lions should have gotten this hype after the last half of last season. The way they denied the Packers a playoff spot said it all. As a Vikings fan, they make me nervous. It'll be interesting to see if they can carry this momentum through the season.

Hey, it has only been 68 years since their last NFL championship.
I’m no fan of either team but it was kinda wild watching the game and having the commentators, along with their rules guy point out how EVERY SINGLE pass play 74 was “lining up as a TE” and jumping early but only got called for it once on a 4th&20.
I'm glad somebody noticed it because him lining up like that was causing Hutchinson to have to literally run on the outside like an extra few steps, which was just enough to keep his hands off Mahomes. If you notice Hutchinson was getting in there very close like a fingertip away every time, so if Taylor was lining up properly from the beginning Hutchinson would have been on the homes like every other pass plate down there because those few extra steps had to take outside with just enough to keep his hands off Mahomes
Colinsworth, when Taylor was finally flagges, said something like: And now their slot receiver finally gets busted. Man, they were even making jokes about it.
I was absolutely going crazy watching this guy do this PLAY AFTER PLAY without any penalty calls it was ridiculous

Nobody is talking about the KC RT number 74. The refs let him get away with illegal motion and off sides multible times throughout the game, start to finish. He was holding and tripping Aiden Hutchinson all night.

A fellow, long-time mistake by a lake fan here. I got laughed out of my office yesterday when I said I had the Lions about 60% to win and will almost certainly finish with double digit wins and a playoff birth. You should have heard them squealing. A 49rs fan and a Steelers fan dumping on this Browns fan's prediction for the Lions. Yall different since the last few weeks of last season. I'm not surprised they played KC tough and earned that dub. Good luck this season, I'm rooting for yall so long as it's not vs CLE.

I think most of us could tell last year that if this Lions team got any semblance of a defense, they'd be a problem. Well here they are, and 21 points is on the low end of what I'd expect out of that offense going forward. They still have the talent to hang 30's and 40's on opposing teams. This'll be an interesting year for Detroit no doubt.

As a chiefs fan it was a tough loss. Yes there were dropped passes. The pick six was a perfect pass and wiffed. That aside the defense of the lions was great. Our defense looked horrible. The defense did their film work on us. Every jet sweep was for a loss.

When Stafford won the Super Bowl, I think it lit a fire, FINALLY, under the management’s @$$ and the coaching staff. I’ll be honest with you…I saw this coming last year. I was highly impressed with the Lions games, win and losses. I wasn’t surprised by the win. As a Rams fan, I’m rooting for them.

Toney had drops but so did Marvin Jones for the Lions. It doesn’t just happen to one team. There were a couple of passes that Mahomes threw that could of been picked off it just so happens the one he did throw wasn’t completely his fault 🤷🏾♂️.
Marvin Jones had his first ever fumble in 12 years of pro ball, in the red zone no less.
Jones also fumbled inside the red zone, plus 74 was holding and leaving early every single play, no excuses are valid for the chiefs, they were missing jamo too

This is the first time I've seen analysts talk mainly about Detroit after they beat a big team. It's usually what the other team did wrong. But they shut all that up. They earned this recognition. Salute to Dan Campbell and the Lions.
