      Everyone wants to be down with the hot teams. Steven A. Smith is even ranking them highly and trying to kiss ass...
      We've all been here. Megatron, 0-16, Barry... The constant refs.
      All of it. Real fans have been down for a long time. 10, 20, 37, 40, 50, 60+ years. Lions fans know loyalty.

      Just remember, these same sports social media influencers of cable news that were so wrong about Dan are now the ones saying they are unstoppable, they don't know anything more today than they did yesterday, they are just riding the hype train and getting eyeballs. Don't give them either. The lions are a great team, but they will stumble, and these same voices will declare the lions broken immediately. There's no money in honest competent analysis, only extremes and personalities.

      And I bet if you mentioned about how negative they were in the beginning of last year, they'd say they weren't. They'd say that they saw a spark in the Lions and they knew they (the Lions) were turning things around. Those commentators would also say they saw it coming. I say they're full of BS!!

    • @RichardStanczak
      @RichardStanczak 2 місяці тому +1

      He had an excellent resume. He was universally respected by every player he played with even though he was a marginal NFL player. His coaches as a player recognized his leadership, his coaches as peers recognized his talent and ability to lead, he was an interim coach of the Dolphins (did okay with a bad team) and was the assistant HC at New Orleans to an all time great OC and HC.
      If that is not a good resume, I don’t know what else to say.
      Some may laugh at this, but Dan Campbell is in the process of revolutionalizing NFL football. He is making it fun to watch, and even more importantly, fun to play. He is encouraging creativity and risk taking from his coaches and his players.
      I’m not sure if he will leave a bunch of great Head Coaches from his staff, but they will get the chance to prove themselves because of Dan and his success.
      Dan has brought the emotion back to a game that was turning into a business and all that that means to what is basically a game.
      All of us Lions fans are very grateful that he was asked to be our HC and even happier that he eagerly accepted the job.

      When the lions win the Superbowl, it won't be for us. It won't be for themselves, it won't be for the owner, It won't be for anyone that can read this comment.
      When they win the Superbowl it will be for those that never lived to see it. Those that emotionally bled, fought against the doubt, the despair, the apathy, year after year and were never rewarded.
      The Lions organization has debts to be paid. IOU's that go back generations, To be honest I figure any fan alive today won't be able to collect on a Superbowl win until at least the 3rd one.

    You can't help but love Dan Campbell. This guy is the real deal. No hype, full transparency, profound leadership, and true grit! He was made for Detroit. Something is going on folks, a much bigger picture is that play, a team currently known for not winning anything past maybe a wild-card game in the postseason, finds its way to a playoff, that's called a wall being torn down to the next level, this is a road to victory The encouragement here is to be eyes wide, there's a spiritual anthropomorphism at play here...Campbell! The Lousy Lions couldn't even cover a 3-point spread! They didn't deserve to win after Coasting in the 2nd half!!! Enjoy this win because it will be the LAST this season. My money will be on either the Eagles or the Bucs next game!! This coach is a true leader. This is what’s wrong with the league, I swear Lions fans were just calling for refs' heads and all of a sudden refs aren’t the problem and the Rams should cry some more… It’s in the script for them to go to the NFC championship See Lions fans: it’s not so bad to be screwed over by the refs in the reg season at Jerry World, so long as they make it up to you by looking the other way when your team uses Puka Nacua’s jersey to finally be able to stop him and Stafford from breaking your hearts on their final drive to gift you an undeserved win. Lions I just freaking hate the refs missing obvious shit on crucial late-game plays. KNEECAP STATUS: BITTEN. Epic. COACH of the YEAR🫵 I was 11 years old the last time they did this…the Super Nintendo was released lol Why don't they bring Joseph Kirby to the microphone and have him explain his possible career-ending hits on Tight ends? Two times in three weeks he goes at the knees! Dirty and cheap!!! I don't mind them biting knees, but putting a helmet into the side of a knee is nothing but cheap and dirty. I"'m happy for the Lions, but I can't stand watching cheap shots. I hate that kid saying to pick the wrong call to shut up he is Screwed up to remove on stage He lying.. for political correctness for his current fans. He knows nowhere rocks like the NO. Who DAT that nation.. we are with you Detroit. NOLA. I was here. I'll never forget that Minnesota game. Wild emotion from the whole team. If you're a Lions fan and you don't find yourself getting emotional watching this, especially with that touchdown at the end to win the game against the Vikings, then I don't know what to tell you. Man, I teared up there. Brought tears to my eyes man 🥲🥹 That Goff throw/St. The brown catch to beat the Vikings is one of my all-time favorite sporting memories. That win was coming, and it took a while to arrive, but it was coming. Those 11 games without a win showed me Campbell was the right guy because the team played hard for him, and those 11 games built a culture that is bearing fruit now. Let’s. Go. Lions. Great video. Really nails the experience that all Lions fans sat through up through that first win. Great video here with where the Lions are at now. Shit doesn’t turn itself around in 1 year. Cherish what we have now! They’ve earned every bit of it! Let’s go Lions!! Even as a Packers fan, I can't help but root for the Lions. Obviously, I still hope for the Packers to be the best, but if it's gonna be anyone else I'm glad it's Detroit. Cheers. Who put this together? Amazing job! Despite only winning 3 games in 2021, it was clear that the players wanted to win for Campbell. That told me he just might be the guy Detroit needed. I've been a Lions fan since 1989...Dan Campbell is by far, my favorite head coach ever. I love the energy he brings, and the players leave everything on the field for him. He is absolutely one of the best motivators in the game. And to Stephen A. Smith and everyone else who thought Dan Campbell was a terrible hire, you can kindly shut the hell up, LOL I was in the hospital on a ventilator watching the game when Dan got his first win, that game and that man really did give me hope, not only in this franchise but also for me to keep fighting in my recovery, so let me just say this...I LOVE THIS MAN AND I LOVE THIS TEAM!!! 💙I am an immigrant. Learned what is football at the age of 30 as a Detroit resident. Though I moved on from the city after 4 years, Detroit sports franchises are always my teams and it’s my hometown far away from my birthplace. There will be no happier person in this world even if they go to the NFC championship, let alone the Super Bowl. Go Lions! Go Detroit! I'm a Chiefs fan, born and raised, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't so happy for Lions fans. My family is from Kansas and Oklahoma, but I was raised in Michigan, and seeing the Lions rise up as they have has made me so happy for you guys. I hope you make it to the Super Bowl this year! This video will never get old. Two years from this victory, the Lions are NFC North Champs for the first time in 30 years and 11-4 There was a huge difference between Matt and Dan. Whenever Matt would lose or hell just in general, the Lions didn’t really like the guy. But with Dan Campbell. Even after 11 weeks of suffering and close losses. As soon as they win one. The players give him the game ball. It’s usually the coach that gives the ball away. But now even after 11 weeks of sucking they still loved and appreciated that coach. So that tells me that it wasn’t his fault. He was trying his best and he was doing his damnedest to try to get this team back up on his feet. Look at what he’s done now. I was a little sketchy at first too. I think everybody was with the 0- 10 -1 record. But as soon as I saw that celebration in the locker room. I had a feeling that we really had our coach. We just weren’t playing well. Look at us now we’re f 5-1 heading into the Ravens. Hopefully, we do win. But if we don’t, that’s fine we’ll be 5-2. But this is honestly the first time in my life where I can honestly say if the Lions lose, I wouldn’t be blaming the curse. I’d be actually saying hey good teams have bad days. We don’t usually say that about the lions We usually just say they’re the same old Lions. I think we’re past that now. Hell, I know we’re past that now. Dan Campbell has always been a player's coach. And with him going 0-16 on the Lions. This is just a perfect story for an NFL team. If you think this is scripted, fuck it, I don’t care let the Detroit Lions have one baby. It’s been a crazy journey. Let’s keep it going Lions!!!!! I can’t believe how much this team has been turned around in just a couple years. I’ve been a Lions fan all my life and to see them, just behind the #1 seed is surreal. I’m so happy for this team. I am so glad we didn’t get rid of Campbell after his first year because we might still be the same old Lions being the worst in the league. WHERE IS THE REST OF THE VIDEO!!!! I’m gonna fricken cry man. Dan Campbell is a monster. Took over a bad bad team and look where he and the boys are now! As a fan of the team, this is my all-time favorite Lions win. We’ve had some awesome games under Campbell since this, but this is my favorite Campbell/Goff win by far, including our most recent W (Bear vs. Lions 11/19/23) where we saw them score 17 pts in under 5 min. Unbelievable, love this team. Campbell could run for Mayor of Detroit and win, easily. Dan not only has turned this team around he impacted so many people in Detroit and bringing the Lions back to life has been a must and more fun to watch. Love this, it’s so good reflecting on where this team has come from and how much Dan Campbell has helped us become a winning team. Even if we lose the rest of our games this season, Dan is a great man who deserves all the love his players give him. The moral of the story is ya gotta be patient. Unless you look toxic like Urban in year 1 ya coach and GM need 3 years to build. If they look like shit in year three then make a move Tear Jerker. Props to Shiela for not listening to the BS & for keeping her trust in the men she chose to do the job… even though the following season with a rough start. I was at that Vikings game. Was my first Lions football game. The feeling when he caught that ball in the end zone with no time left on the clock was awesome. Let’s go Lions! As a 50-year-old Detroiter... I felt this! Been watching these Lions my whole life... I've given up on the Lions 100 times but still watched..went to games and they still lost... this 2023 team has the hearts of this whole city. I am LITERALLY full of pride right now That game, that catch by Amon-Ra, and the way that crowd exploded when he caught that winning TD, those things will always be very special to me. GO LIONS! This was epic. Thanks for this. We have our team. Let's go win a championship. 1Pride The Lions have had cancer for 60 years. Dan Cambel is like a super rare radioactive medicine from another planet that was discovered and it cures cancer. This Lions team this year is the definition of playing as a unit as one...A TEAM! Can't help but get emotional watching this, these guys no matter the record did not quit under MCDC, its so damn good to have a coach that understands this team, and this city and so far has turned the culture around for this team, A true story of triumph from 0-10 to 1-10 never give up guys That ending shows the players still rallied and trusted in Campbell even through that really difficult season. They were building something and they could all feel it and believed in it. Now they're division champs for the first time in 30 years. What a rebuild it was for the Lions. That crowd didn't sound like 1-11-1 That sounded like 11-1-1. Loyalty, dedication, and brotherhood. I have been a fan of the Lions all of my life (31 years old) and I have never been this excited about my team before. We going to the playoffs but first, we beat Baltimore. LETS ROAR LIONS! Crazy that I lived through this and watched all those clips as full games but man seeing the look on the Coach, GM, Ownership face, and tall players was so relieved Man, I wish them all the success in the world. Go Lions!

    Just here in 2024 to ask the analyst that said “Dan Campbell can’t coach”…. Anything to say now?
    I just think it speaks VOLUMES that when Goff threw that first game winning touchdown, he didn’t celebrate with his teammates, he immediately ran over to hug Dan…. The fact the team gave Dan the game ball in the locker room…. THAT SPEAKS VOLUMES. Those players knew there wasn’t gonna be instant success. They knew it would be a grind and they stuck it out and believed in his vision. And look at em now!! Most dominant team in football. Likely on their way to win a Super Bowl. And all of America is rooting for them. The amount of happy tears that will be shed in February when they pull it off will be insane 😂😂 the only people that won’t be rooting for them is the fans of the team they’re facing in that Super Bowl. And most likely it’ll be the chiefs and I think even chiefs fans will give the Lions a standing ovation. Y’all have 3 already in like the past 5 years, if y’all don’t give credit to Detroit when they beat y’all in the SB that would be a bad look.
