    They weren't paranoid nearly enough with Dslyecxi. Gotta have at least 4 pairs of eyes on that man because he's like a freakin' ghost

    28:00 Dsly goes to get a weapon and gets shot. "Put it down, put it down" - Calm voice. We all know what happens when he is free to roam... with a firearm.

    That was one of the most fun Arma videos I've ever watched.
    Trying to stall them while waiting for Blufor to push up, then trying to signal friendly troops and get your captors killed. Then escaping and hearing the story from Enfields POV, fantastic.

    That was some proper Michael Westen bluffing there. Well, almost; not enough improvised explosives or injuries. :P

    If your gaming group ever wonders why taking points in charisma, diplomacy, etc. is a good idea, then just show them this video. These are _real people_ putting their trust in someone who is supposed to be their prisoner.

    Shoulda just starting saying: "I GOT IT! I GOT IT! Lets head back!" So that the marines would have more time to find you. Good job with the lure.

  • @MRxKILLZONE
    @MRxKILLZONE 11 років тому

    I loved how you came back from the dead or rather what was assumed to have been your resting place after the injured marine took you down from the lure but you stormed in at the last second like Rambo and took down CHKilroy Like-A-Boss!

    Really smart from Dyslexi but I didn´t like you broke the 4th wall by saying the mission is broken and there should be a bag and those things. I just think that´s a bit unfair cause the insurgent player has almost no choice but to believe you. It´s like saying from the start "I have the codes, I will launch the rocket", then say "The codes dont work, the mission designer made a mistake". Then, what do the REDFOR players do? Instead of saying there should be a bag on the chair you could have said somebody must have took it. At least that`s "in your role".

  • @MrAceandT

    It really speaks to the level of quality of the Shack Tac community to have the hostage takers be willing to go along with it just for the sake of fun as opposed to calling Dslyecxi out on his BS. This is why Shack Tac are the best around.

  • @ArkaelDren
    @ArkaelDren 11 років тому

    As much as I understand the point of the exercise and mission, I would have to agree with a quick execution of a single hostage to increase the effect a bit. This would be effective if the hostages were not aware of this possibilty. One dead at random with the threat of more, would end the fun and stalling from the hostages. I know you get to deal with the general public here, so I do feel for your sanity a bit.... As always, thx from Oregon and loving all your vids.

    Any mission that involves player versus player (especially with hostages) has a lot more re-playability than a mission with purely AI. It's unpredictable, different side commanders will chose different strategies. It's not like a play that runs off a script, if anything it's more like improvisation. The mission provides the 'framework', the blank canvas, and the rules. The players paint it, and everyone paints differently.
    Look, poetry!
